189 45 Mbps Wireless and wired

I have a Huawei recently installed (Optical Network Terminal). When my ISP technician moved, he received 191 Mbps and upload 19.50 Mbps, it worked well for two days...

I have a Time Capsule 37 b for a Wi Fi network. And now 45Mbps wireless...   Wired 189Mbps. What's wrong with the settings?

Thank you

3 TB does not define the model... so is this height with AC TC wireless?

You test speed on a computer with card WiFi AC near the TC? If you test remotely, it is likely that have traded to 2.4 ghz because the signal is best... It is a standard installation on TC... your Mac or your idevice will connect to any signal is strongest... not the fastest 5 GHz band...

To be able to 5 GHz force give the band a different name.

However we often find the TC has problems with connections fiber... especially if you use PPPOE for authentication.

What authentication method uses your installation?

The Huawei router as well or the installation of TC as a router?

  • WIRELESS and wired LAN do not know each other

My internet provider installed a new cable modem, without capacity WIFI because I have an airport extreme base WIFI (with cable Express extensions).  Speed and quality are OK, wireless and wired, but there seems to be a wall of China between WIFI and wired (LAN): devices that are connected via a cable to my LAN are not visible from the wireless network and vice versa.  Airport extreme is not 'Bridge' mode ("because not of wireless on the new modem capability".)

No idea of the reasons for this?  Thank you very much

Sounds like the configuration of the device. With the airport devices it can operate as a device on the network or another firewall as its own network. I think that it is way jumpered to activate, this will allow you to configure the wireless on the airport, but your current router will do the DNS/DHCP and will be a single network.

Now that you have configured as two routers on an independent network as there is no bridge.

Hello community I am undergoing, step by step, how can I set up my printer to a network via Wired and therefore any other device connected to that network can print from it.

I used to have my printer connected via connected to my main PC, but it soon came the need to print from other places in my house and I remembered that my printer has this great ability, so I wanted to know how, step by step. I tried to put in place by myself, but I couldn't, I myself helped with the HP Solutions and Guides, and somehow, I missed something.

    Details:

OS main PC: Windows XP 32-bit (it has the latest updates)
    Printer: HP Photosmart D110 one
    Router: Time Capsule from Apple

I uninstalled the printer from my computer, so don't be any errors.

Here's the deal, I want to connect my printer to my main PC via Wired (cable), once correctly installed, I want to connect this printer on my wireless (Network Time Capsule), so any other device connected to the network can print from it.

If someone can take the time to tell me how to do, step by step, with links from HP information. etc if necessary.

I already know how to set up a static for my printer IP address and all the stuff in IT, so don't worry, everything you say me that I understand it, all I need to know is what to do exactly, but the case is when (step by step).

    Thanks in advance.

Hello, I noticed that you said 'Network via Wired' and then he said "wireless. I will be happy to help you. Just to let you know, you can't be WIRELESS and NETWORK CABLE (Ethernet). You can be wireless and plug the main PC into the USB cable. So, here are the steps to download the drivers and the connection to your PC (USB) PRINCIPAL and others (wireless).

Connection to MAIN PC wired (USB)
    1. connect the USB cable from the printer directly to the main computer.
2 download the drivers from the Web site (http://goo.gl/BVOOg), or if you have the CD.

Note: whenever you download the software and drivers on the site. Be sure to choose the SOFTWARE from FEATURE COMPLETE.
    1. Select software and drivers
    2. type in the name of the product (click Search)
    3. choose the operating system (click Next)
    4. choose Download (scroll to the bottom for the SOFTWARE of FEATURE COMPLETE)
    5. After downloading the software, it will PULL
    6. it will give you an option on how you want that it connected
    7. you choose USB to the PC of the hand

    WIRELESS NETWORK connection
    1. go into your printer settings
    2. Choose Network
    3. Select wireless CONFIGURATION WIZARD
    4. it will search your router (if wireless). Choose your router and configure the printer wireless upward.
    5. go to other computers and follow the steps above to download the drivers.
    6. when it comes to SELECT connection, choose (without wireless/network)

In this way, you can print from your main PC via USB (wired) and the other wireless computers.

If your ROUTER is not wireless, and you can only use a wired (Ethernet) network, then you can print only by plugging the cable ETHERNET router to any PC of your choice print from the moment. Also to plug another cable from the router to the printer.

I hope this helps, if you need more help please ask, thank you.

  • Problems with HP Photosmart C309g wireless and wired

    Hello

I fought with my C309g since I bought it a few months before.  It works on and outside, but can not hold a consistent network connection.  I have wired it usually but have tried both wireless.  It is plugged directly into my Netgear router.

Before it works for a short period of time and the other Offline Online & on its own.  Sometimes it recognizes the other computers on the network to print & analyses.  I have 3 PCs on the network - two cables & a wireless.  It will recognize the three rarely, two of them sometimes, one of them sometimes (usually the laptop wireless) and none of these most of the time.

There each time than in quite awhile for the first month and now it does not appear at all on the network - wired or wireless.  I can't print and more.  The documents simply to sit in Quebec for a while and then produce an error.

Any help appreciated.  This printer is a wholemeal bread.

    Thank you

    Gringeiro

    Hi Gringeiro,

You use the wireless WEP or WPA security on your router?  I would recommend WPA2 with AES, well, if you want to connect wireless.  It will also, if you set a static IP address on the printer.  You can do this by typing the IP address of the printer in the address bar of your browser.  Select the network tab, and then look for IPV4 under the section of wired or wireless, depending on how you have connected it.  There should be an option to "suggest manual IP".  If this isn't the case, type IPCONFIG from the command prompt (start/run cmd) to get your addresses in the subnet and the gateway.

  • Wireless and wired router, DHCP and "visibility".

Okay, it's a bit complicated, but I'll explain better than I can.

I have a wired Linksys RV082 router. It works very well but is not wireless.  I have a Cisco/Linksys E2500 wireless router for my wireless devices to use.  the RV082 is the network of 192.168.1.x. The E2500 is the network of 192.168.0.x.  Cable Internet goes to the RV082 Wired, and a line out from there to the wireless router.  This all works fine except for a few disadvantages.

I have an iPad that connects wireless and some of the apps offer a http:// option, so I can transfer files to this application.  I also have a network printer connected to wired and wireless devices do not.

    I have 2 problems:

    (1) in order to transfer files from my laptop (that I hung on the cable network most of the time), I disconnect the wire, wireless, then I can transfer files.  Œuvres, but it's embarrassing.

    (2) I want a netbook that I have on the wireless connection to print on my printer wired network.

It seems that the 2 networks do not see each other.  Here are the things I've tried:

    (1) I disabled DHCP on the wireless router.  My thought is that requests for an IP address to the wireless router has sent will be transmitted along my wired router... NOT.  On my iPad and Wii, they could no longer connect wirelessly. Strangely enough, with the disconnected wire and wireless connection with my laptop, I've still was getting a 192.168.0.x IP address, even if the DHCP service is disabled on the wireless router.

    (2) thinking I would put manually the wireless router on the 192.168.1.x network, instead of saying things to get an Internet connection IP dynamicaly, I manually the IP value is 192.168.1.245.  Serious mistake.  I couldn't connect at all anywhere then.  The only way I could fix it was to hang on to my laptop computer, assign a static IP address to my laptop on the same network as the router, then I was able to get to the configuration page and to put things like he was.

Another thing... Even when I'm connected only plugged on my laptop and wireless is disabled, I ping 192.168.0.1 (the wireless gateway) and it returns a value. But, when I try to go in a browser, I get a "page not found" error

So, how can I get these two networks to play well and see each other?

    Thank you

    Jesse

Put the router E2500 'bridge' mode and it will transmit the RV082.

Assign E2500 DHCP, an IP address for itself of thje RV082, it will just be for access to the web administration E2500. System powered via the E2500 wired or wireless IP addresses will be obtained from the DHCP server on the RV082, and these will all be on the same subnet as designed to be plugged into the side of the RV082 LAN.

Should allow you to do exactly what you want to do.

I have a similar setup here works well with an E4200V2 right now.

  • How to set up LAN wireless and wired for simultaneous operation

I use a Lenovo thinkpad running windows XP. I want to set up an independent network so that I can connect my hardware for debugging. At the same time, I want to be able to access the corporate network using the wireless interface.  My autonomous network consists of a Belkin router that is to act as a DHCP server, my laptop connected to a port on the router and my test material connected to a different port on the router. My wireless interface is configured to connect to the corporate network. With wireless interface and the ethernet interface (wired) enabled, when I am doing a config ip, I see that the devices get valid IP address, corresponding to subnets, they connect to IE the ethernet port gets IP address 192.168.x.x 172.x.x.x IP poster wireless interface while. But I am not able to ping or access sites on the internet, I am able to ping the router Belkin on the independent network.

However, if I go under network connections and disable the ethernet connection to the local network can access the internet and my business network. Similarly, if I disable the wireless connection and that you enable the ethernet connection, so I am able to ping the router only and not my test equipment connected on the same subnet.

If I configure the (wired) ethernet network interface to use a static IP address in the pool of IP from the router Belkiin (who is also a DHCP server) and set the IP Address of the Belkin router as gateway, I can access all the other devices on this local subnet if and only if the wireless interface is disabled.

The search for networks order is defined as the wireless and Ethernet.

In my case, I need two interfaces to be active at the same time, as explained at the beginning. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you.

  • WRT54G2 v1 - Internet is slow wireless AND WIRED

OK, so I get my internet to an ethernet cable plugged into the wall (I don't know if its cable or dsl because I live in an apartment). When I connect from the wall to my Macbook internet is fast with Mbit/s to 30. But, when I connect to my router ethernet cable and try to access the internet, wireless or wired through the router it takes 15 seconds to load a Yahoo page or a Facebook page

Now for the confusing part. When I use the wireless on my PS3 (implemented with automatic adjustment to the subject), it goes fast enough where he can even listen to HD Netflix movies and fast enough not to get lag on Call of Duty or no games. But when I want to look at a web page on my iPod Touch, Blackberry phone, Macbook Pro and 3DS it takes forever to load a. Interestingly enough, I tried to SpeedTest.net on my Macbook and here is my result when connected wireless (always takes forever to load a Web page, and it does not load the hulu or youtube videos).

  • Wireless and wired Internection connection problems

    Hello community,

My first question concerns my wireless laptop connection (or lack of it). I rebooted my router (because I forgot my password), who restored the device to factory default settings.  When I've reconfigured the router, I was unable to connect to the Internet via a wireless connection. When I troubleshoot with Windows 7, it says that I need to connect an Ethernet cable from the router to the laptop.  However, it was not necessary when the connection to the local area network (LAN) via a public network worked without error.  In addition, when I check my wireless network connection, it shows that the signal strength is excellent and a connection is attempted, but without success.  When I open the network and sharing Center, there is no LAN.  Is it possible that something is blocking access to the LAN? It wasn't a problem, before I changed the router username and password the default user and password. Something is flooded with this situation.

A second problem occurred when I tried to connect my desktop computer directly to the external modem from my ISP in which I work around the router. There is no Internet connection when this happened.  Before configuring the router via wireless connectivity, the direct connection between the external model of my ISP and my office worked without error. Your thoughts on these two issues are very popular.

    Thank you in advance.

We're going to do in the first place the wireless and see if we can make it work.

Go to the router configuration page (it can be www.routerlogin.com or an IP address, depending on your brand.) See your documentation for him.). Under "wireless" parameters must be a place to enter the password you will need to know to access the router. If it is always the default value (which will be probably if reset you factory default), then change to something unique.

Open the network and sharing Center and click on 'Manage wireless networks' in the left column. Right click on your wireless connection and on the Security tab, select the settings of your router is to (WPA, WPA-2, etc.) and the type of encryption. Then enter the password that you put in the router in the box "network security key. On the connection tab, uncheck "automatically connect...". "for the time being. OK, and then restart. Check if your wireless network is working now.

To connect to the modem, you may need to recover from the IP. Open a command window, type ipconfig/release and press ENTER. When that finished, type ipconfig / renew and press ENTER. Now you should be able to connect directly through the modem.

Thing, that I forgot to mention, while you are in the configuration of your router, make sure that "Enable SSID Broadcast" (or a similar expression) is checked.

  • Wireless and wired through extreme as an Extender

I have 2 scenarios to connect my laptop:

    1. wireless on my home network, or

2 cable to the extreme that works as an extension of my network.

That it would give me the best speed.

    Thank you!

    1. wireless on my network home

Your best bet if the laptop is located where it can receive a good connection.  An Ethernet connection from the laptop to the airport would be better. And things will depend on whether you have another airport, expansion of the wireless network, because that will reduce the speed on the entire network.

2 cable to the extreme that works as an extension of my network.

Kind of a trick question that you cannot have the intention, since there is a big difference whether the extreme 'extends' using wireless... or... If the extreme "extends" by connecting to the main router using an Ethernet cable.

When you try to "expand" using a wireless connection between two airports, you lose about half of the potential capacity of speed on the entire network. When airports connect together using a wired Ethernet connection, there is no loss of speed.

So, to answer your question... If the extreme which is the extension of the network is wired to the main router... There will be very little difference in speed with the laptop using a wired connection or by using the wireless... assuming that the laptop will be close to the extreme.  The wired connection would be more reliable, however, if you have the choice... Since Wireless is a mix of science half and half voodoo.

  • Wireless and wired network unavailable

I tried to install XP SP3 on my X 60 laptop. To restart, I couldn't use any network. The LEDs show the wireless as the work, but when I try to use the lenovo or wireless to power to the radio, she continues to declare that 'off '. Also, I can not connect via the wired ethernet port.

No network adapter appears in my network connections. The devices will appear as normally works in Device Manager and I can update or restore the drivers for them, but I can't uninstall. I can boot to safe mode, but a start in SafeMode with network causes the system to hang during the "checking the status of the integrated security chip.

Uninstalling SP3 update made no difference.

Someone can offer more to try, running a new installation of XP? I feel there is just a corrupted somewhere file.

Problem solved! It seems that my registry has become corrupted in a way that was also known when SP1 came out:

  • Can wireless and wired network connections to co-exist on the same pc?

My new desktop pc of Windows 7 has a Wireless N adapter, but given that the router is located next to I prefer to use a wired connection. When I enabled both, I noticed that the pc was connected wireless, so I disabled the wireless card and connected via wired LAN.

I was wondering if there is any way to keep active both and put in place for the wired connection is a priority, and the wireless connection is used automatically when there is no wired connection?

When more than one network connection is available, Windows uses the one with the lowest metric value. By default, it automatically assigns a metric value based on the rated speed of the network connection. For more details, please see an explanation of the routes Internet Protocol Automatic Metric feature .

To force Windows to use a specific network connection, assign a metric value to each of them, giving the lowest value to the desired connection:

    1. Press the Windows key + R , type ncpa.cpl in the box, and then click OK .
    2. Right click on the desired connection.
    3. Click on Properties > Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Internet .
    4. Click on Properties > advanced .
    5. Uncheck Automatic metric .
    6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the Interface metric .

  • 802. 1 x wireless and wired network

    Hello

I have to configure a Wi - Fi network and 802.1 x and I don't know what components I need. ACS or NAC appliance?

    Hello

    802. 1 x is an authentication mechanism to devices at the port (L2) level.

    Can be wired or wireless.

    Here's what you'll need:

    A client (Windows computer, peripheral end-user 802.1 x compatible)

    An authenticator (switch, AP)

    An authentication server (Radius)

The intention is to authenticate the user as soon as the detection of the activity of L2, for example when a user plug the computer to a port on a switch.

You can do a quick test with the following components:

    Client (Windows computer)

    Authenticator (Cisco Switch)

    Authentication server (ACS)
