2.0 - still not right data recovery

I know that DR's new, but it * IS * 2 and it's like the 5th patch / revision for this.  Why can't they get it right?

This may be trivial, but it doesn't look good when things are obviously incorrect.

DR-5.jpg

It's showing 953 GB of capacity.  check.

Deduplicated 477 GB in size.  check.

size no-strucure is 7.16 TB?  I am not a math wizard, but it's a REALLY good compression... since it's NON-strucure...

I mean the numbers like this one aren't crazy, Linux backup systems that do the same when the majority of your backup bulk is OS and the software that is basically cloned on all machines anyway.

What do you expect your unique or duplicate ratio of data to be? Is it like VDI or servers?

Well, I don't know all the numbers, I just thought that it stood out.  with 953 GB of space, we can get more than 7 TB of backup... no-strucure.

So if you think that this is possible, then I worry about this, I just thought it looked weird.

It seems a little high, it depends entirely on the side of your infrastructure right and what kind of machines, he composed. If it is 200 machines for VDI (and you do not pay for implementations of older end VDI that do deltas), I'd be like "fully expect", if it is 30 servers of different operating systems and files, I wonder how you got this good deduplication with so many unique blocks. The number of non-strucure is just a calculation of the amount of physical space would be necessary if the deduplication has been disabled, not really have a meaning in terms of physical space used on the drive.

Well sure, if Dr. allows you to have multiple snapshots stored (again not familiar with it) it is completely expected.

    If you can recover data from a damaged disc depends on what the

    Newspapers say it all: "26/07/2012 10:23:19: independent labels 'vm-153." "" [datastore1] vm1/vm1.vmdk "unsaved."

    This VMDK is configured as independent VMDK, independently discs are "made not snapshot ' type of drives and because of this VDR will not back up these disks.

    First of all you need to know why this drive is configured as apolitical, apolitical fashion isn't really necessary then stop VM and remove "Apolitical" mode option of this hard drive in the hardware configuration of the VM.

  • Not able to navigate elsewhere while < dvt:horizontalBarGraph > data recovery

    Hello

    I use Jdev 11.1.1.5.0, I have a .jspx that contains a taskflow bounded region. The taskflow contains a jsff that contains < dvt:horizontalBarGraph >. So when the jspx gets loaded the first time, it's huge data read in the WebServices for chart where it shows the message as "RΘcupΦre data" for 10 seconds. The requirement is: user wants to view another page by clicking on a commandLink while loading data for chart, but it is not able to do. Please suggest how I can do? Is it possible to stop the process of recovery between the two?

    Asynchronous loading file ADF / navigate elsewhere for reading data in the ADF / execution of methods in the background in ADF / avoid locking the user interface during the long running tasks in ADF

    Hi all

    As you can see above, a manner suggested by Frank to manage the status of the asynchronous execution of the ADF. Here's another way to handle the same situation:

    We all know that applications in the ADF are synchronous, but I found a way to overcome this problem by using multithreading where it does not lock the UI so that we can run the methods that take a lot of time to complete. If so good, it can help you, but I'm not sure oracle recommends that or it is a standard way to do this.

    Here are the steps:

    1. create a class that implements Runnable (assume the name is "AsyncLoading") and it should contain only run the method, inside the run method of this class, you can call your bean (assume the name is "YourBean") method that takes a lot of time to complete.

    2 create a jspx or fragment that contains an image of loading (we have to show on the front end until the background process to finish its execution) and pane af:poll, set the pollListener which checks after a defined interval that the background process has finished its work or not.

    Here is the code for the methods for the interval and poll expires:

    public int getInterval() {}

       / * You can create a separate thread here by simple instance created "AsyncLoadingBean" and start the task that takes a lot of time to finish * /.

            AsyncLoading asynchLoad = new AsyncLoading (this);

    Thread t = new Thread (asynchLoad);  you are free to use the executors and future objects to handle this.

              t. start();

    Returns the value 100;

    }

    / * will run under method after each 100 milisec which is an interval defined above * /.

    {} public void pollExpired (PollEvent pollEvent)

    / * Use an indicator that checks whether or not the data extraction is done. If Yes, then navigate to the original page * /.

    {if (loadingDone)}

    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    NavigationHandler navHandler = facesContext.getApplication () .getNavigationHandler ();

    navHandler.handleNavigation (facesContext, null, getNavigationOutcome());

    }

    }

    / * navigationOutcome in the above code is a property of your beans and you can set a value for this property under taskflow managed beans tab "managed property" (its value is the business name of page-to-page real expectation on your taskflow streams) * /.

    / * below is the method in your beans who extracted enormous data and takes long time * /.

    public void fetchHugeData() {}

    }

    / * below is the class that implements runnable * /.

    / public class AsyncLoading implements Runnable {}

    YourBean yourBean = null;

    public AsyncLoading (YourBean yourBean) {}

    this.yourBean = yourBean;

    }

    public void run() {}

    yourBean.fetchHugeData ();

    }

    }

    Now, you are free to browse elsewhere even your components are busy extracting or loading of the back-end data.

    Thank you very much

  • your processor does not support long mode. use a 32-bit Vmware Data Recovery distribution

    Hi all

    When I tried to start VM in Vmware Data recovery, her gives me error as

    "your cpu does not support long mode. use a 32-bit distribution"

    I tried searching for the 32-bit version of data recovery, but not able to find out.

    Help, please

    Kind regards

    You can add a 64-bit host to a virtualized session of ESXi. The ability of VT is not transmitted to a guest operating system.

  • Error starting data recovery - "your CPU does not support long mode.

    Hello

    When I turn on the VM data recovery, and after that he begins the boot process, it displays a message "your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32-bit distribution"

    Data recovery is installed on an ESX 4.0 update1 then the ESX is installed on a VMware Workstation 6.5.2 as a virtual machine in my home test environment.

    My processor is a 64 bit CPU (AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core).

    I wonder if this message is because the ESX is running in a virtual machine on the workstation may be that it not only Duke that the processor is a 64-bit?

    Someone at - he of the idea?

    Thank you

    Marcos

    You can run the 64-bit if clients your ESX is a virtual machine. VMware Workstation does not pass through the VT extensions that are necessary for the performance of a 64-bit as VDR host.

  • How to use data recovery in memory of "D"? The computer did not contain a wrioter of C/D, so I couldn't make a recovery disk.

    How to use data recovery in memory of 'd' (about 10 GB)?

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    Ask your manufacturer of computers for the EXACT method to restore to factory settings.

    This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

  • SSHD Toshiba MQ01ABD100H - Firmware / data recovery problem

    Hello!
    I have the mission critical data on a MQ01ABD100H of Toshiba to SSHD which was in a Sony VAIO for less than one year who decided to stop working from one day to the next. All I care about is the data. A professional data recovery company apparently reputable rated player, told me that it was a "mechanical failure", said they could recover the data and gave me a quote of $1500.00. A week later I was told something different; They said the platters and heads seem to agree and the problem seems to be on the circuit board and/or flash drive, and they didn't know how to recover the data. They told me that they have consulted Toshiba too. I asked them if they replaced the pcb Board and they would not tell me or answer questions more. I have the drive in my hands and am looking for options. I really believe that my data is recoverable if the trays are okay, right?

    Here's what I know for sure; the bios of the machine of Sony VAIO Windows 8.1, correctly recognizes the drive. However, it does not start and is not accessible or recognized with cmd prompt Windows 8.1 UEFI options. The drive is not encrypted. After putting the reader into an external enclosure and its connection to another Win8.1 machine, the player starts with no extreme sounds of survey. Slowly, she clicks a few times as if the heads are looking, but then calms down and keeps running quietly. I have installed a Data Rescue PC3 software that recognizes the drive and its attributes correctly but can't read or clone. I have the Partition Wizard software mini tool, which recognizes the drive correctly, but shows the drive as being unreadable.

    That's what I'm trying to do. I'm looking for a donor on mine, with the same model drive, date, firmware, site, number of PCBS, hard drive code.

    Now, here is my unknowns and I appreciate everyone a preview with these. If I change the pcb edge myself, I need still more likely transfer the firmware for the new Board of Directors, even if I try it without doing it. I don't know where the firmware is stored, is there a rom chip or is it stored in the Flash Player. I'm not certain if, with this model of SSHD, if this can be done with replacement of the chip or the software? If it is stored on the Flash drive how is available independent of the HHD part? Must the reader Flash itself be harvested? But what happens if the flash player is bad, how can the firmware ever be recovered? Any ideas anyone? ... other than myself shot in the head, I'm kidding. I think that this may be a common problem that will often not resolved.

    I have the drive in my hands and am looking for options. I really believe that my data is recoverable if the trays are okay, right?

    I am not an expert but if applications cannot access the data and cannot read data from the SSHD then you will need professional help...

    I found the storage Toshiba page where you could get details on this SSHD

    Mate good luck...

  • Pavilion p6537c: Dead Win 7 C drive, should I go direct to 10 for a new disk? Ideas on data recovery?

    Question: Installing an operating system on the new replacement drive:

    750 GB hard drive on my Win 7 Home Premium desktop is completely dead. [See data recovery? below.] With regard to the new replacement unit 1 TB, I don't have recovery discs (my bad) and can get a USB bootable HP for $30 in 5 days.  But if I will Windows 10 in any case, would it not easier to simply direct that, assuming that I can download from the MS site?  Is this possible or do I have a valid Windows installed before 'upgrade '?  I have the serial number of windows etc. since it is a 64-bit licensed machine Win 7 legit bought new at HP.  There cpu: AMD Phenom II X 4 830 (D) 2.8 GHz and 6 Gig of RAM. Tips appreciated!

    DATA RECOVERY question: C drive would not start at all in a local computer store and they refer only to the people of data recovery. Any ideas how I could do this, or at least try, me? Otherwise, any suggestions on the most cost-effective way to get what I can (if any) out of the disc?  I don't have an idea as to why/how it has failed or the status of the Board at this point.

    Thank you very much!!

    Tommy

    From W10 v1511 that you do not have to enter a key when it is stored in the bios, W10 will find that during the installation, so you can just go right to the 10 and spend 8 installation.

    Even if it is not stored in the bios, you can enter a product key valid W7 orW8 during installation of W10 and he will accept it.

  • VI do not transfer data from the instrument.

    Hello to all who are interested.  I'm working on an instrument driver for an Agilent D3000A generator of signal (E4432A) trying to get the generator to sweep the amplitude of - 30dBm to-75dBm and then come back in a loop.  The loop is in a structure of the event and is called by a switch on the front panel.  When the switch is selected event triggers and loop information is passed to the VI.  The problem is the 'Sweeping Steps' VI does not use data from the number of points in the sweep and pause at each time and the tracks of the loop as the amplitude is just switching between the min and Max amplitude levels.  But once I have stop the generator program will continue sweeping (only in a sense) but the correct time and the number of points.  When I use the spy "measurement and Automation Explorer" program AND I do not see that the data are transferred in the instrument.  I don't know if the Subvi the execution order is correct and was amazing if someone could take a look and let me know if I have them in one order incorrectly.  Could not find an example of this type of program examples of the driver so there is little help.  I joined the program and the driver of instruments for your comment, then please take a look and send any information you think will help me to get this working properly.  I have also tried to run the single sweep mode sweep and have just the change of direction for the sweep to the other side of the ramp, but I still get the same results.

    The generator has 15th and ONU3 options.

    I, m using LabVIEW 2010 on a Dell Dimension 2400 running Windows XP and service pack Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.
    Please let me know if you need other information.

    Thank you

    Just for the short term, right click on the structure of the event, select Configure the events managed by this case and uncheck the lock front panel.  Also, I don't know if you caught my edit.  I think your problem is your expectation (or lack of).  At your expectations to be slightly more than the number of steps to multiply by the pause time.  You must leave the instrument perform its scanning after all.

  • Help to remove the partition on a hard drive and data recovery

    I have two hard drives in my PC, the C: drive is 80 GB, and the F: drive is 120 GB.  The second drive (120 GB) is divided into two partitions.  I just deleted the partitions and makes the hard drive again in a single disc, however I had some important files on the F: drive that I thought I had copied to the C: drive but they are not there.  Is there anyway that is using the software I can return the drive to two drives and recover my data, please help

    Hello

    First of all, do not use the hard drive. This can make things sunk. A few things may already be unrecoverable. I would even delete the drive letter to stop inadvertently automated processes to use.

    There are two ways I can think of.

    1. buy a partitioning software disk that supports the undelete partition. On windows XP PartitionMagic was a very good product if symantec will still sell it. Given that Symantec has continued to develop, I had to switch to product partition Paragon. Sound was trash to some things, cloning in particular a double boot with loads of partitions - it has an undelete function which I didn't use. The fact that you have created a new partition could mean that the restoration may not work. You may need to delete the current, probably empty, partition everything first and then perform the restoration.

    2. buy a data recovery software that will scan the hard drives, including the unpartitioned space. I chose R-Studio and it was very good stuff even recovery from hard drives that fail. It was not 100% effective, but it is perhaps down to the severity of failure rather than the product. In situations like yours, it was very effective.

    Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

    Hello

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
    Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
    This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
    slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.
