• BIOS ACER v3 - 571 G problem!

  Hello Acer first of all, my English is bad. I have a laptop ACER v3 - 571 G with i5 - 3210M 2.5 GHz and GT 640 M + 8 GB of RAM and I am very disssapointed with my laptop.

  ACER with 2.21 bios is the worst bios that I've ever seen. Laptop has 85-95 C with this bios and it stops at stake, in surfing, any judgments just randomly.

  There is no option in this ridiculous BIOS, I can't set the fan speed and I can't disable disk or turn it off, and I can not start USB because the laptop does not react on F2 at startup only when I restart, but then, may not realize that it is the USB into the slot.

  1. the drive is 100% its first use 2-4 minutes.

  2. very unstable with very bad BIOS Acer laptop and I had Flash the BIOS of the random guy and the book it is 1000 times better as with Acer bios!

  3. the battery does not work with BIOS Acer but it works with modded BIOS.

  4. I paid 250 EUR for the new motherboard because the laptop is turned off and does not start again. The service said it was 'the unknown liquid' to the motherboard.

  So, now with the new motherboard after 3 months, he broke again and it randomly stops himself. It is not because as warm-ups it stops when I open video-game-chrome or something.

  What can I do? I really don't want to send the laptop to the service they will again tell me that it's my fault because they can't repair or accept my guarantee.

  This is what I said, turn off fast boot and you can access BIOS whenever you want. With this option enabled, Windows does not full stop, just a mix between the Hibernate and shutdown. This is normal with Windows 8 and keep in mind after that this system will begin in a few seconds more.

  Also, I think you should check your HARD disk because it may be corrupted, download CrystalDiskInfo and check it.   My name is Patrick Barker, and I'm an analyst of the blue screen of death core Dump. During the last week, I ran into two users having a HP Envy 700-074 computer and experience the same exact bug check. The first time I met such a bug check, I imagined that the user may have simply received a system with a bad BIOS, things like this happen in computers all the time.   In our case, it is #1. Exactly, what is happening? I can't be quite too sure due to having to have a version controlled ACPI.sys to debug such a question and with what is happening on another system user, I won't use them as guinea pigs. However, this seems a general problem from what I can tell about this model BIOS. For reference, a BIOS update is not currently available for this specific model, so not quite sure that the end user can do, especially if their systems of replacement of the same model have the same question over and over again.

  Why I write this here? Well, on the one hand, I can't find a place to contact HP and / r supports directly without really own a HP machine. So, with that said, two questions:

  Hi folks, I'm David from South America and I have this great Tablet since last year, that's great, but I would like to install android and Android, so that I can dualboot windows 8.

  I'm agree with Akuma and possibly that a single mobile model may be affected by unknown BIOS password problem.
  I noticed an assignment abut M70, but it seems that the ASP took free and new update of the BIOS should help.

  I also read in other forums that something like this happens also on mobile phones from OTHER manufacturers.

  To create a crisis USB key, perform the following steps:
  1. format the USB storage drive using the Quick Format option.
  2. save the ROM file (filename: ZQS.fd) in the root directory of the USB storage device. Make sure that there are no other file BIOS stored in the same directory.
  3. plug the USB storage on USB device.
  4. press the button, then connect power cable.
  5. the power button flashes once.

• Acer Aspire 5742 G died. I think the BIOS is damaged because all I get is a blank screen.

  I was a heavy task on my other laptop and I wanted more RAM, so I decided out of the 4gigs of my Aspire 5742 G only to find out that this is not not a 4 × 1 GB of RAM (instead a 2x2gb DDR3). All I've done is out of RAM, I saw that it was only 2gigs and put in (nothing else, I know my way around computers quite). Then I thought to share work on the network, only to find out that my Aspire 5742 G will not start. Nothing. Not eveb the Acer logo appears. Access to the hard drive led is always off (not a single blink). Terrified. I thought it would be to display, but like I said the HARD drive light flashes once again.

  So I jumped to Google. Discovered it probably a BIOS problem. So I downloaded the BIOS Acer will, comes to be welcomed with a ZIP file of gibberish. I have no idead how to use this ZIP to update my BIOS. The exe file is not good as the PC starts no and all other methods seem unlikely given the boot selection is not yet possible.

  Can someone please guide me to the right maybe average to refresh my BIOS?

  It may be almost impossible to diagnose a problem remotely, I hazard a guess and suggest that your problem has nothing to do with your BIOS.

  Given your description of your actions, I would recommend you check and double-check your RAM seats. Also, make sure there is no damage to the socket. There is also the probability that static was able to destroy the RAM. You may need to try known good RAM to exclude this possibility.

  It's a very good question, actually.    I would have to engage in conjecture about why this particular message would appear in your error logs.  It happened after a fall of some sort, but I don't know what actually caused the crash.

  You do not sound as if the system crashes constantly...

  We do not ship systems with a CPU that does not appear in the definitions of the BIOS.  It is possible that a later BIOS update definitions to include additional processors that we add to a template, but that shouldn't affect all systems before shipping.

  It has 32-bit Vista as the operating system.

  I downloaded an acer for the same video card (HD 3650 512 MB DDR2) - and see via RBE (radeon bios editor), it is rather better. At least memory size detection is a matter essential to the games while with toshiba a I have no such results.

  Our configs with Bakk are same - proc and vcard are the same. Simply no OS.
