  I hope that Adobe will understand this issue and fix it as soon as possible. Very annoyed with them right now.

  After trying all suggestions from several sites, I found that the problem is that the Firewall window must be running in order for the applications to install.   If you are running Windows 8 Pro, go to the desktop and click on "My computer" and double click on 'manage '.  In the window on the left side computer management, expand "Services and Applications".   Click on 'Services', in the Center window, scroll down to "Windows Firewall" right click on "Windows Firewall" and click "Properties".  If the Startup Type is "disabled", click to drop down and select "Automatic".  At this point, you can click on 'Start' under the service status.  Once the Windows Firewall is started, you should be able to start installing and or update your apps from the app store.

  Not a problem at all. Apart from the usual annoyances of big and small, all computers, you can buy currently fully support products CC. Not even expensive computers have enough juice to run most programs, otherwise all of them perfectly smooth (video applications are more demanding).

• My laptop took more than 12 hours to install an update from windows and is still doing, and will not be closed.

  I use Vista and an HP Pavilion laptop. I noticed the closing down and install updates logo was so I used it and my laptop started to install 2 updates (June 18, 2011). Finished the first, it was install the 2nd for more than 12 hours. The screen tells me not power off or unplug the machine.  The drive light flashes occasionally, it can come entirely for a second or two. What can I do? Surely it's far from since long to be normal and something went wrong.  The laptop keys are unresponsive. The cursor has changed to the blue circle by day and cycles but will not move with the mouse or key.  In the past, some updates took 3-4 hours, they have been great with more than a dozen of components, but never anywhere as long as it.   Thank you for your query.

  I understand that you did recently resumed, reinstall your original Windows 7 with the help of HP.  You were then installation updated drivers when the laptop froze and the only thing you could do was power, it works. You then reinstalled Windows 7 again, but can not install other programs or your personal documents.

  Have you tested for hardware failures? Screening of hardware failures (Windows 7, Vista )

  Have you checked against viruses and malware?  Malicious software removal tool

  Like you just HP support help with your original Windows 7 installation and the problem appeared after that, I suggest you contact HP support for assistance, especially since you have reinstalled again and are always problems.
