I have 2 routers...
Router 1... It's wan is connected to the modem and one of its LAN ports is connected to one of the Router 2 lan ports
two routers have 2.4 and 5 ghz networks enabled with exactly the same names. two routers have dhcp allows as well.
Is there something wrong with this Setup...
My goal here is to have the best coverage of the signal throughout the House.

Your computers use the SSID of your router - sound essentially its name.

How can I find the network name (SSID) and the chain of security for my network
I have a wireless network with a printer on it - even if the printer is connected with a wire. I want my laptop to be able to use the printer wireless to another room - instructions for putting in place early yb requiring the SSID and the security chain.
Hi petetyler81,
You can connect to the router manufacturer's website and make sure that the SSID and find the string, otherwise you can contact the manufacturer of the router and check.

I tried to configure HP C7280 sister for wireless printing. He finds the router, but I can't type the SSID name because the random letters and numbers keep popping up during the process. I can't stop this irratic behavior. Any suggestions on how can I stop this?
On the front of the printer, go to settings > tools > Restore Factory Defaults.
You should not have to enter the SSID (aka network name), but you don't have to enter the security key (aka the password wireless).

How to store images in possible IndexedDB even name key?
The issue is that a little abstract so let me explain.
Suppose I do a Web page that is only for offline use, say an image viewer so that users can display their full-screen photos.
The user has the option to select files or drag-and - drop files
https://developer.Mozilla.org/en-us/docs/Using_files_from_web_applicationsThe files are then iteratively stored in IndexedDB.
When the user closes the browser and returns the next day and opens to the top of the Web page, the images are automatically loaded instead of having the user select the pictures again.
The problem comes when the user first downloads the images. Some images may have the same name.
What I need to check if the 'key' already exists in the DB before hand or can I store the path of the image file in the DB as key?

EA2700 smart wifi keeps bug broadcast even if SSID wireless disabled
Ver.1.1.39.145204 is the firmware.
Cutting the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz wifi does not interrupt the transmission of a SSID.
If allow wireless admin is checked the continuous SSID broadcasting on 5 GHz and 2.4 Ghz bands.
If not checked the SSID then forwards on the 5 GHz band.
In both cases, the SSID is transmitted are the default SSID of the factory, and he announced a nonsecure connection. (router erases your security settings when you turn off a radio)
On the plus side tent to connect to the wrong ssid broadcast failed, but he always seems a bad idea to advertising a connection open 24 hours a day.
I tried to report it to the Linksys technical support. Their response was to reload the firmware. That I did - but it does not change the behavior of this SSID bug. I asked them to report it as a bug and the Lady declined.
Does anyone know how to make a break from the SSID when Wifi is disabled?
Thanks for the reply. After reboot, then reload the firmware and then reboot the router, five times the problem disappeared.
I was using an IPAD with IOS 7.1 and a samsung with android phone to test.

Connect 2 routers to extend coverage
I am about to connect 2 routers with LAN-to-LAN connection to increase the
coverage of my original poor E2000. I read that some-related posts in the forum
and 3733 in Cisco KB article:
I have a few questions:
1. in step 5: "click Advanced Routing and change the operating Mode to router '.
In fact there is NO "operating Mode" in "Setup/Advanced Routing' where is
This selection?
2. for installation "wireless security" should both routers use the same mode and
even passphgase?
3. If both routers use the same "network name (SSID) '?
Please help and advise. Thank you very much, have a nice day!
SLo
Ignore the advanced routing setting. It is useless with a LAN - LAN connection
For a mobile network, wireless security settings must be identical. Both should have the same SSID and active SSID broadcast.

This morning the power on the wall where the router is plugged is out. I fixed it and was able to get back on the internet. Problem is that the wireless printer does not work. When I reinstall, my network SSID is not displayed in the available choices. And when I go in the type manually, it can't find it. I'm on the internet. My good names will be displayed. I even went my router page to check these settings. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. I get the same.
Connectivity report shows the network name (SSID Found)... IN CASE OF FAILURE
Yet, the networkname is listed in the current configuration of the report at the bottom section.
Report says also that wireless is enabled and works.
Why is it not appear?
In fact, I just changed the name of the SSID and he appeared.

ADM 32 GB will not allow a unique SSID and password to be put in place
Sir / Madam,.
I got a new 32 GB ADM. I have updated to Firmware 3.04. I was able to reset the Admin password without problem. However, the unit will not allow an SSID / unique password to create its own network. I typed the info in the settings/edit page the Wi - Fi connection settings, with selected WPA security. It will allow me to type the information in the data fields, and select done. But then brings the following error message.
"Error: failure Action was not successful." Please try again later. »
I also tried only to set a password, with WPA, using the name SSID default ('6B 23 SanDisk media"). It works no more. I tried this in a few days. The unit is fully charged. He has no problem to connect with my home Wi - Fi network.
In addition, on the page of my iPad device settings/Wi-Fi, 6 B 23 of SanDisk media is visible and connects without a problem. But it says "Safety recommendation" under this network name. I guess that's because there is no password set.
I need for this unit to be sure until I'm able to use in public. Any suggestions?
Thank you
Lee
drlucky... OK, I called SanDisk and they understood the problem with me on the phone. Wireless Media Drive passwords do NOT accept special characters or spaces. Numbers and upper & lower case only. Even for the SSID, except spaces are Ok for the SSID. Hope this helps someone else who can read it.

Hello
I want to print wireless. I recently changed my router to a 4G one and a new internet provider. I need to enter the SSID of the router to the printer code so that it can join the wireless network and connect to my MacBook Pro. Initially when I bought the printer, I was able to connect wireless using a provided HP CD - this does not currently work with Mac OS X 10 El Capitan, even if I have loaded down the HP update drivers. The printer does not have a screen to change the SSID directly so I guess I have to change sort through my Apple laptop. I you'd be grateful if someone could help me
Clonfert
Greetings @Clonfert,
Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! I see that you want to configure the printer on the new wireless network. I will do my best to help you with this problem.
I have provided a few steps to set up the printer via an ad-hoc connection and then convert it into infrastructure. (your network) Since there is no HP software to run the wireless installation.
Click the airport near the upper right corner on a Mac.
Click on the HP printer in the list.
It takes about 3 minutes to connect.
Once you get a solid blue light on the printer, it is successfully connected.
You will not be connected to your network for a bit while we set up the printer on the network.
Print the configuration page to get the printer IPv4 address.
Open your web browser, type the IPv4 address for the printer (Safari).
This will load the Web built-in to the printer server.
We can now configure the printer on the wireless network.
Click on the networking, on the left side, click on Wireless, fill out your information for the network. (The network name SSID, set it to the infrastructure, enter your password and the encryption type)
Apply the settings.
Now back to the airport closest to the top right corner on a Mac and select the name of your network.
Just add the network printer on Mac now.
Click on the Apple.
Click on System Preferences, click Print and scan icon, then click on the + sign, then select the printer from the list, click Add. (you may need to click the drop-down list to select the printer name to add it in)
Test the printer.
If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "accept as a Solution. If you wish, to say thank you for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos. Please let me know the results. Good day!

Printer SSID that are on my list of wi - fi
Hi, I recently bought the HP CP1025NW printer. I am able to configure this printer without any problems. I just noticed that the ssid of the printer appears on my list of wifi. At the same time that the SSID is not secure. I don't want people that I'm not able to access my printer and printing things out there. Is it possible for me to get it?
My apologies. The most common cause of see SSID the printer is when connected by USB only as the network printer will not have a connection.
However, this printer has an additional feature called direct wireless printing. This feature is disabled by default, but it broadcasts a second network when turned on, regardless of the connection of the printer.
I suspect that this function has been activated. If you have not already done so, turn it on wireless and it should automatically connect to your network (this can take a few minutes to connect).
The following is from page 71 of the Manual. Follow the same steps to get to a direct wireless configuration, but uncheck the box enable wireless direct printing. Since it was broadcasting the SSID even with WiFi, this should turn this feature off. I've included a screen shot of what looks like the page direct printing wireless is enabled.
Use HP Direct print (for models with wireless only)
Use HP Direct Print to print directly on the product from any mobile device (such as a smart phone, net
book or laptop).NOTE: No installation is necessary, but HP direct-printing must be enabled. Your mobile device must have a
HP printing application installed.1. in order to allow the HP Direct print, follow these steps:
a. once the product is connected to the network, print a configuration page and identify the
IP address of product. The network configuration page can be printed by holding button summary (paper with an arrow pointing down on it) for a few seconds. Once the flashes activity, it should display the page a few moments later. The IP address will be located on that impression.
(b) on your computer, open a Web browser and enter the IP address of the product to the address
line. The HP EWS screen appears.c. click on the network tab.
d. on the networking page, click direct wireless configuration. Select the check box, enter it
name (SSID) in the field of direct printing wireless network name (SSID) and then click
the button apply. The IP address of the mobile device is displayed in the network management page.NOTE: To find the name of the network (SSID), click Wireless Configuration menu in the
Networking page.Wireless direct printing is a feature designed to allow users to find and print to the printer without having to constantly change networks. Disabling wireless printing Direct won't affect your Apple devices or other printing as long as they are on the same network.

Unable to connect via wireless with SSID broadcast disabled
I want to configure my router for my SSID is not broadcast, because I think it's a logical step to take for increased security. I have not been able to do since I started using my new laptop Inspiron 5558. I tried this several times and every time I turn off the SSID broadcast, I am not able to connect to the Wi - Fi on this laptop. Other remote computers in my house and my smartphone connect without problem, but nothing I've tried helps my new computer Dell laptop to connect via Wi - Fi, except for allowing the SSID broadcast.
I have a router Actiontec MI424WR reverend E. I have installed the new driver and the Intel PROset utility and unfortunately nothing has changed. I went to the settings to investigate some of the other solutions offers, and I came across something that seems to have solved my problem. What I found in SETTINGS/network & Internet/change adapter options/Wi-Fi/see the status of my properties of connection/Wireless / on the connection tab, it was an uncontrolled area with the words "connect even if the network is not broadcasting its name (SSID). I checked this box, and since then, I was able to connect to my network wireless with SSID broadcast disabled. I will now call this resolved and if no new problems arise. start a new post. Thanks for sticking with me on this.

Security mode is set to [AES] WPA2-PSK and SSID Broadcast is checked.

I tried to change to auto WPA, but it has no effect. Still does not see my router.
Printer is set up for sharing in the Mac system preferences
Just found my own solution.
Changed Wireless 2.4 GHz band and has appeared.
Thank you for taking the time to answer anyway. One to save for the future, if someone else reports similar problems with blank superhub.
