2000-2b09wn Notebook Downgrade from W7 HP

Hello

I hope you all can help. My wife bought a full win7 install downgrade his laptop from the W8, he moved with. I turned on legacey, starting off (something like that) formatted primary partition and the installation went well. She now w7, but of course the page drivers offers only the W8 drivers for model: 2000-2b09wn.

Can someone please tell me a different model with the same hardware, how can I cross referance it myself, or where to find the drivers? I also thought to try the w8 drivers and do this thing of compatibility. (As is recommended to use the W7 drivers for 8) In any case, can someone please the tsar me in the right direction?

Thank you

IAM

  • 2000 - portable 2b19WM - Downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7

My sister recently bought a portable 2b19WM 2000 with Windows 8 and not to worry for the new operating system and want to return to Windows 7. A few questions:

-Is it possible? Is the 2000-2b19WM compatible with WIN7?

-If Yes, what drivers I need to locate for WIN7 so that the laptop work properly, or most works already?

-If not, where can I find the drivers I have to perform the downgrade?

It is possible to downgrade this machine to Windows 7. Its not particularly difficult, just time consuming.

You will need to get the following:

    Win 7 drivers - http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5275377&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5259212&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4063#11360

Everything you need is there except the driver of the Bus SM... you'll have to get directly from AMD.

    from THIS link http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-1_vista_win7_win8_32-64_sb.exe

Save these drivers on a USB key.  This laptop has no internet connectivity until the network drivers are installed.

You must get the OEM version of flavor that never in Windows 7 that you want to install (Home, Pro, full, etc.)

You are local MOM and computer store pop who built and sold computers should be able to set you up with one (you will probably need to buy a mouse or something to satisfy the requirement of equipment for OEM sales)

5 DVD to back up your current configuration of Windows 8 (just in case something goes wrong).

    What you need to do:

    1. first of all use the HP Recovery Manager to create DVD of restoration Windows 8 since laptops recovery partition. Just in case where for some reason, something goes wrong during the downgrade or if ever you want to go back to windows 8. During the downgrade the recovery partition on the hard disk will be deleted, so if you don't do it now, you will need to order them from HP if you want to return to 8.

    2. go in settings PC in charms bar select GENERAL, and then scroll down to advanced options boot... choose the option that allows you to enter the BIOS.  Here, you will change the boot to 'LEGACY BOOT' section (don't worry about the warning that appears), and set the first boot on the internal DVD ROM drive device. Insert your Windows 7 DVD in the drive and press F10 to save the changes and reboot. the PC should boot from the DVD and start installing windows 7.

    3. when the installation program gets listed in the part where it asks where you want to install Windows 7, remove ALL partitions, and then create a new primary partition and continue the installation.  Windows 7 will NOT install with any of the original scores left in place.

    4. after the installation is complete and windows is enabled, install the drivers... starting with the driver chipset and video drivers first. The rest can be installed in what you order here...

    5. download and install Service Pack 1 from microsoft here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842 choose the second from the bottom (the 6.1 windows x 64 version)

    THEN

install internet explore 10... from there... http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=36806

    Once it is all done,

    go to http://www.ninite.com

Check the programs that you want from those available and click on the get Installer button... It will download and install the programs you choose in a single automated... scan this can save a lot of time.

That's all there is too it.

To return to 8, just jump in the BIOS to disable legacy startup and boot from DVD 1 of your recovery discs 8 woodwork earlier. and itll be immediately how it was when it was new out of the box.

  • downgrade from Notebook G7 - 2217cl to Win7 lack of USB drivers

Hello! I have a portable g7 - 2217cl I bought refurbished BB online. I hated the Win8 system, so I "had" to win7. I know that the pros here are immediately go on to say this downgrade from Win8 of Win7 is not recommended because of this problem. However, the ONLY question I need fixed is that the three USB ports are inadmissible due to missing drivers. I can't find these drivers, of course. The computer itself works a lot better on the Win7 system. Start is smooth and it it less glitch.

Y at - the drivers of compatible USB controller that I could download? I do not have my recovery disc for Win8 (I know, stupid of me to lose those). It is not a full drawback, as I can still operate the machine and use the keyboard to move the pointer. Œuvres Ethernet, sound (loudspeaker internal and made external) and charge cord work. I have not yet tested VGA or HDMI, but I did not need to. I do a lot with it. I just need USB ports to work so that I can use my mouse and printer.

    Thank you for any response!

  • HP 2000 - 2b19WM Notebook PC: AMD graphic Driver fails repeatedly, and the PC often restarts itself...

I bought this laptop a few months, put it away in a corner and when is it coming out my old laptop broke. I got it at low cost, was handed to nine Windows 8 PC, I've updated to 8.1 in early December. I use this laptop heavily, I watch a lot of videos, and I kept meeting my good old friend, the green of death. I was familiar with it, that the pilot had failed several times on my other laptop as he grew older. However, this error occurs repeatedly. I'll see that I've got the greenscreen, I'll go to my office and opened to the top of the screen with all the drivers listed, click on the display of the maps section and open the graphical part of AMD. I'll click Update driver in the second tab to search for updated drivers. Each time on what he tells me that he has that no update, so I'll be back with the graphical part of AMD, click Update again and, this time, search the drivers already installed on my laptop. Currently, there are 2 AMD drivers available, both the AMD Radeon HD 6310 versions, one starting with a 12 and the other starting with a 13. No matter which version I coose, both only work for a few hours before I have to redo the procees.

ALSO, sometimes after update the graphics drivers, my laptop with just close and restart. He will sit on page load with the HP logo and the circle with doing the loading circle, but the page with disappear and appear again and do exactly the same thing. On several occasions. Finally, a blue screen appears which says I need to restore my laptop and the previous version. I click on the button to do it, and the screen returns to the page from loading except now, it not there no circle loading, just the HP logo. He's sitting like that for about 20-30 minutes before a blue screen appears stating that the laptop could not restore to the earleir version, and there is a button Advanced Options on the Advanced Options page there is a button that says exit and go from 8.1 to Windows, so I click on that and the computer restarts normally and I can use my laptop again.

SO I need someone to tell me how to stop the repeated appearance of greenscreen and (hopefully) tell me how to stop my computer to reboot (it did its shenanigan last night, and when I finally got my computer back to the start screen, my Word documents had disappeared completely. I even tried to restore all thatword documents recorded due to the closure forced the document, but nada for me) I'm afraid that I'll lose even more work and time to these problems, and I hope that someone can help me.

    Hi @SabrinaS,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your 2b10wm of 2000 HP Notebook PCs and laptops having problems with restore points. Two graphics drivers that you see listed and you restart the portable computer to uninstall.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that may need updating.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Here is a document on assistance with the computer does not start. It gives you instructions step by step when you see the HP Logo screen.

What happens when you play a DVD?

What browser do you use? Here is a site that will check if your update.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

Boot from the Windows Vista DVD

To learn how to change your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows Vista click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

  • Downgrade from Vista to XP for Satellite A210-16F PSAEL

Other users of laptops from Toshiba greetings

I come to you with what I noticed to be a fairly frequent problem for users of Satellite A2xx - downgrade from Windows Vista to XP.

I am owner of a 2 - day old of a Toshiba Satellite A210 - 16F PSAEL (AMD processor) and Vista Home Premium crashes on me during the installation of an application. So I searched the forum and found a full list of the XP drivers for the series equipped with AMD (my thanks for people who have set up their discoveries). I also found a guide to downgrade to XP, but it was the Intel-based and intended for users A200.

My question would be if there is such a guide out there for the A210 series, the AMD-based or could someone please indicate the steps to follow for the downgrade.

    Thanks in advance

Interested, too, that's why push this thread a little, aka a friendly BUMP ;)

  • Satellite L350-170 - downgrade from Vista to XP

    Laptop: Satellite L350-170
    Part No.: PSLD8E

Heya I write about the downgrade from Vista to XP.

I play world of warcraft online game, I think that my laptop is good enough to run it, but I get little FPS (Frames Per Second) I do belive Vista drains your computer and is no friendly case like performance than XP. I have Vista Home Premium, I was trolling internet reading how to etc... Some forums said that some manufacturers of computer/laptop can provide a Vista 2 XP disks. I was wondering does toshiba? If this is not the case, how it would be difficult to downgrade from Vista? Is there a risk of bricking my laptop? could u do a list of things that I would need and a guide step by step on how downgrade but remembering I'm not a computer very know how nobody so keep it very basic =)
Also - what is void your warranty? I would be able to send my laptop for toshiba and they do?

Take advantage of my wall of text
Thanks in advance for the help

    Hello!

Downgrade from Vista to XP isn't very difficult and it should be possible that you can do yourself.

You need at least one drive in Microsoft Windows XP with SP2. Boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. But you need the SATA drivers, the computer can recognize the HARD drive. For drivers, you need Intel Storage Manager, which can be downloaded on the site of Toshiba and this is workaround step by step how to do this:

If you have installed XP, you must install all the drivers and tools for this. All what you need you can find on the Toshiba site:

    Good bye
