2000-2d27CL PC laptop: Wifi continues to disconect

I bought this computer two years ago and it was amazing, that my dog broke it so I replaced it with exactly the same thing a few days ago.  Since then, I tried to stuff that requires internet access.  My computer will be connected sometimes for ten minutes, sometimes to one, but anyway it always disconects and I have manually, go back and try to reconect.  Sometimes it works sometimes it isn't.   I really need to understand why it continues to be and how I can solve this problem.  Help, please.

Hey, I just thought I should let you know I did call and talk to someone and they were able to help. for all those who may come across this. She told me to uninstall my driver of qualcomm. idid that as soon as you restart your computer, it will reinstall everything on its own. It's a really easy solution for me. but he dropped out again but onl; o when I was updating to windows 8.1. but now, he remains connected for as long I want.  im happy for this mark as resolved.

    Hello:

Have you installed the driver for the wireless card?  Otherwise, you must...

This package provides the driver to support the Atheros Wireless LAN card in the laptop models running a supported operating system.

You also need the bluetooth driver for this model wireless network adapter.

On the envy of 13, the wifi is really crappy! Each 4GB transferred the connection drops. My old Dell lattitude could do the standard AC and no connection drop-outs. Even my 16 yr old shit Dimension Dell 8100 with 2200 days of continuous operation unless you drop-outs and a better transmission than this camera!

Sorry, but these days when a modern camera pop out of the ethernet line under it should be MANDATORY to have a descent wifi AC otherwise it says device is considered to be a dust trap goes in the trash!

Is it possible to upgrade the card wifi on board wifi of shit? Because I had to buy a Netgear dongle in order to have the connection of the descent. I went a * beep * ty 6 MB/s with a 33Mo/s connection tabs. For me, it's sort of a rip off! And on new devices MIMO should MANDATORY olso!

If I were binary this device is a no go device and should be completed in the trash!

  • HP2000-US: upgrading laptop WiFi adapter HP-2000

When choosing a new adapter to improve my WiFi capability, must I choose one with WiFi + Bluetooth capability, or just WiFi is enough?
The adapter is an AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.

What would make this incompatible adapter is the white list of the HP BIOS. Integrated in the BIOS, the code is a list of metatags wireless card and if the card in the slot is not one of those, starting to happen in front of a black screen with a text warning. There is no 5 GHz module that will go beyond that. Sorry, it was never my idea to have the white list.

    Hello:

These are the drivers that you need for these devices in the order you have them posted in the topic...

This package contains the Realtek driver local area network (LAN) that allows the NIC (NIC) Realtek chip in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported.

    File name: sp52421.exe

This package contains the installation package driver for the controller LAN Realtek RTL8188CE wireless in the notebook models and operating systems.

    File name: sp52212.exe

This package contains the driver that allows the Realtek card reader in laptop models running a supported operating system. The card reader allows users to read or write to removable storage cards supported, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players and cell phones.

    File name: sp52186.exe

  • WUSB54GC - WLAN monitor does not not on Windows 2000 SP4 computer laptop

I have a WUSB54GC v3 and I tried to install the drivers and the WIFI monitor on a Gateway Solo 5300 laptop running Windows 2000 SP4.  When I put the disc, the installation automatically started, but stopped after a few seconds with a pop message saying, "this version of windows is not supported" (or something similar to that).  I read in this forum and learned how to manually install the driver from the disk I did.  I checked the device using troubleshooting in Device Manager and shows the driver to be installed correctly and the device works correctly.

My big problem is that the monitor WLAN (the little green square in the bottom right of the screen) will not illuminate.  There are no available wireless networks and the monitor does not respond to the "Refresh" or anything else.  It seems to be "dead".  How can I get the monitor to work?

    Thank you!

    Mike

WUSB54GC is not compatible with Window2000... So either you can upgrade your operating system to Windows XP, or you can go for different cards as WUSB54G.

  • My wifi continues to try to connect to each router everywhere wherever I travel. She interrupts the cellular data service / until I turn off the wifi.

I recently reset my network settings. Now, everywhere I go, my wifi (6 more) continues to try to mate with every wifi it crosses. My cellular data cannot connect as he tries (unsuccessfully) to connect, so I have to turn it off to connect to internet. And then, of course, I forgot to turn it back on later when I'm at home, which then uses the data.

Settings-> WiFi - > ask to join networks

It has the value if it is then you must disable

    Hey @John166,

I understand that you have a problem with the WiFi on your HP laptop. I will do my best to help you, but first, I wanted to thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support. Here is a list of steps that solve common problems with wireless connectivity.

First of all, we have a step by step guide to guide you through the process of diagnosis here:
Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access

A second option is to try the following steps:
    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test an ethernet connection:
Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

    Test another connection:
Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop down in the upper right of the document.
