  Several years ago I tested both a hybrid version Seagate 1 and later version 2 with my 13 "2009 MBP and the computer started more quickly with one of these drives with 7200 RPM drive. But that and save files were the only time where I saw an improvement of high speed. So no, not slower, but not really all that much faster. I ended up installing an SSD in the computer. Now that was an improvement.

  What browser do you use? I had some problems of my own with Tumblr, Google Chrome, and power draining eventually led me to dump Chrome when I realized it was hogging all my resources.   You have the original installation media supplied with your machine? This would be a way: use the DVD to boot from, format the new hard drive and then reinstall the operating system. You can then update/upgrade to 10.11.

  Other than that, your model was not eligible to have its firmware updated to allow for the recovery of the internet which is the only other way I know - at least the only other way besides a bootable clone, you did before your defective hard disks.

  Apple has set the rates, price around $300 repair program.  I don't think you can get a price of paste elsewhere.  However, there are third-party sites that provide repairs, parts and helpful videos.  Google is your friend.

  You have placed your beam to insert at the end of your text on page 13 and then apply Insert menu: Page Break? In the v5.6.2, Pages I just add a new page to a section of four pages to this approach.
