2013 automatically compile in 64-bit exe?

I will soon put in place an exe from 2013 on a variable network shared server will be fed a PC lab.  Before you start this way I want to be shure when I compile the vi (which will be on the server), it will be 64-bit.  Having trouble finding the exact answer in the literature.

The 64-bit versions of labview require their own facility.  I tried earlier to install a 64-bit version of LV and the only version I could find is LV 2014 64 bit.  It was surprisingly difficult to find several 64-bit versions of LV on the site of NOR.

Must be somewhere, but I think.

EDIT: A word.

    Hello

I'm sorry, but an operating system cannot automatically change from 64 bit to 32 bit.

You must manually do a clean install of the operating system with the change of 64-bit to 32-bit of the 32-bit operating system.

And to change from 32-bit to 64-bit, clean installation with 64-bit.

Even if the best thing would be to remember self-supply of recopile the stored procedure whenever you change one of the objects of the stored procedure, is there someone advise me how could be possible to plan a sort of batch that is able to "trigger" when a stored procedure gets no compiled or al least that periodically checks to see if there is something uncopiled and can automatically recompile? How would you?

You have a lot of critics of the guys here... hope that those who are constructive to your developers.

To answer your question... There might be a shortcut or a small program that you can write to watch on your status as an object not valid. I think that guy DBA monitor this somehow.

I wrote a small program, some time to monitor the objects in the database to track the State of the database.

    (1) write a piece of code to find invalid objects, something like that.
    SELECT * FROM USER_OBJECTS WHERE TYPE_OBJET = 'PROCEDURE' AND STATUS = 'INVALID '.
    (2) create a table like 'MONITOR_INVALID_PROC '.
    (3) INSERT the result set of the SELECT query in the "MONITOR_INVALID_PROC" table
    (4) you can have a mailing program simple to search this table frequently and mail it to you.
    (5) have a JOB call this function/procedure every five minutes (to you).

You must have one handy mailing program, other animals is possible fast enough.

An approach more big but it has worked and works for me. I have developed a huge alert with this as a base program, it works for me.

  • The start-up takes 35 minutes after updates on April 9, 2013 (windows XP pro 32-bit)

After you have installed windows XP pro updates on April 9, 2013 (or there abouts) my computer takes about 35 minutes to start (a 5 minutes before). During this time the CPU doesn't work between 0% - 1%. After about 35 minutes the CPU begins to work as usual. When to use system restore to go back to April 8, 2013 (IE before updates) the boot time goes back to normal. Starting time is normal when I boot in safe mode. I checked for viruses, etc. using malwarebytes and security: basic concepts and my system is clean. I also did chkdsk/r.

    How can I fix?

    Hello

you have a report from trusteer installed on your computer?

If so I suggest you try to uninstall it, reboot and see if it solves the problem.

You see I've had exactly the same problems and symptoms on my windows xp machine after windows April updated as you describe.  It took me 6 days to find out, but uninstalling report seemed to solve the problem. (Report uninstallation was after installing the updates of windows, by the way).

In fact to confirm it was the value I then installed the new version of the report and got exactly the same symptoms of slow start again.  Uninstalling report once more, turn the computer back to normal.

so if you have reports uninstall it and see what happens, this is my opinion and I hope it helps.

I contacted trusteer on this matter today, but they have not yet answer.

Immediately following October 10, 2013 Windows Vista update automated - 25 updates is installed on my Toshiba Satellite laptop and HP Pavilion Desktop - cannot send emails from a computer using Windows Mail - they return both the same error message: "failed to connect to server...". "Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10013, error number: 0x800CCC0E".  E-mail can still receive however on both machines.  There is no problem whether the sending of emails minutes before the update took place.  Anyone who has known (and solved) this problem?

Postscript: problem solved - on both my laptop and desktop, I discovered that under Windows Mail > tools > accounts > (my tiscali account) > properties > servers, the entry for the outgoing (SMTP) mail has been entered incorrectly as smpt.tiscali.co.uk.  This change of smtp.tiscali.co.uk solved the problem on both machines.

Windows Mail worked perfectly on both machines immediately before Windows update Oct 10 - so it seems that the update must have corrupted a file to install Windows Mail on my two computers.  Not sure how other users may be affected by this...

  • Problems with the implementation of 32 or 64-bit DLLs in LabView 2013 13.0f2

    Dear Sirs and Madams,

I try to order a motorized device (MGZ30-WORD thorlabs) with LabView 2013 (32 bit), product version 13.0f2 on a PC under Windows 7 64-bit. Unfortunately, there is no support of LabView for the WORD MGZ30, which means that there are no libraries or VIs for LabView.

First of all, I want to describe the component or rather its functionality. It is connected to the PC via USB and managed by the v5.0.2153.1 Trinamic Virtual Serial Port Driver. If you wish, for example, adjust the position of the device, there is a small program (written in C++ by the seller). There are 2 different folders for 32 and 64-bit, each containing a .exe, .dll two (a ThemeControl.dll called, who apparently does not have the feature described in the h.file, I want to talk about later, and a ThorZStepper.dll called), a .lib (ThorZStepper.lib) file and an .xml file (ZStepeprSettings.xml, which contains the used COM Port and baud rate information). In addition, there is a folder that contains the driver and a folder called "SDK", that contains the subfolder with a .h file, samples and once more the files mentioned before.

To use your device, you must modify the COM - ID in the .xml file and run the 64-bit .exe as administrator.

First of all, I tried to use the VISA-USB-controls, which worked well with another device. However, he did not for the WORD MGZ30 as I did not have the possibility of obtaining the necessary chains of command although I used a sniffer port. Observed communication seems to be more complex than I expected and I was unable to extract the relevant information. To add, the device seems to communicate constantly with the PC even if it is inactive.

The next idea, which came to my mind was to put in place the .dll files. Therefore, I used the import via Tools/Import/SharedLibrary function and the only h-file that I found in the file and the dll file which stood next the .exe in the folder of 64 bit. LabView created a file .lvlib and I got access to a few screws, which have also been described in the header file. The problem is that I can't run these screws because the .dll file is 64-bit while LabView is only 32-bit (at least, LabView suggests that this is the error.

After that, I tried the same thing using the same header file (there is only one), but using the .dll file located in the folder of 32 bits. When I now try to run the files, execution of works, but I get an error message "call library function Node in ThorZStepper32.lvlib:Find Devices.vi. There are also a few screws, which do not generate this error, but will not work.

My next test was to use the "call library function Node", as well as documentation in the .h file, but it didn't work. I don't know if I missed something or the 32-bit .dll file does not work on 64-bit operating system. Could you please help me to use the "call library function node" to investigate the weather that the 32-bit dll does not work properly?

Please find the file h., (html.zip) documentation of the h.file and the VI, it must indicate the position, attached.

Best wishes and thanks in advance!

  • How to compile and install the kernel modules after nation and nipalk for installation of Gentoo 64 bit?

We are trying to install a PCIe 6251 DAQ card in a box of Gentoo 64 bit running Linux kernel 2.6.28 - gentoo-r5 4.3.2 - gcc and glibc - 2.8.  We have installed RPM utilities to manage the installation.  The current problem is that we are not able to compile and install the kernel modules: nidmxfk, nimsdrk, nimstsk and nipxirmk.  Here's a summary of what we have done so far, and to what extent we got.

First of all, we have changed the configuration of the kernel that we could export the init_mm unused symbol by changing the configuration option of the CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS = o kernel and recompile the kernel.  Then we installed LabView 8.6.1.  Then we ran the nation 1.9 installer who has installed the source code in vain on the compilation.  To resolve this problem, we have changed the function of pte_offset to pte_offset_kernel by editing the file/usr/local/natinst/nation/configures following the instructions here:

    http://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-4511

We were then able to compile and install the kernel nation module thanks to:

    . / configure
    do
    make install

lsmod said that nation has been properly installed.  Then we ran the installer for DAQmx 8.0.1 by:

    . / INSTALL - nodeps

To do this, we have received errors indicating that LabView support could not be installed because check addictive (incorrectly we think) stated that labviewbase86 has not been installed; This caused the installer to have an abortion.  Therefore, we refused to install support for LabView 8.6 and revived the installation program which produces the output:

    After Installation...

At this point, after reading this report, we used the Gentoo rc update utility to add several scripts for the boot runlevel initialisation:

update of RC - a boot nipple
update of RC - a bunch of nipxirmu
update of RC - a bunch of mxssvr
update of RC - a bunch of nisvcloc
update of RC - a bunch of nidevldu

When the computer reboots, you get an error message indicating that the following kernel modules are not: nidmxfk, nimsdrk, nimstsk and nipxirmk.  lsmod shows that the nation and nipalk are installed, but no other kernel modules NOR are present.  modprobe-l shows that only nation and nipalk are available.

    So we have several questions:

    1. we install drivers in the correct order?  Should use us NI-VISA 4.5 or NOR-488. 2 rather than DAQmx 8.0.1?

    2. What kernel modules should be loaded for this equipment run?  How to compile and install the ones that we have yet, specifically nidmxfk, nimsdrk, nimstsk and nipxirmk?  Are there others?

    3. How can we get the installer to properly recognize that we have installed LabView Core and install support for LabView?  Are there additional kernel modules related to the support of LabView?

    4. What is the symbolic link that was not created in the DAQmx installation report? (ln: create the symbolic link ' / usr/local/include/NIDAQmx.h': no such file or directory)?

I apologize for so many questions, but these seem to be the last obstacles to obtaining OR runs correctly on this system.  Is there other information that we can provide that would be useful?  Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer.

    Craig

    Hey Craig,.

Given that you use 64-bit Linux all kernel modules must be compiled for 64 - bit.  User mode binaries can be 32-bit, assuming that you have installed the 32-bit support libraries.

NOR-DAQmx is a complex architecture and requires several kernel modules to support your PCIe card.  Most of these kernel modules have not been brought to support 64-bit Linux.  Some kernel modules are components infrustructure that are shared with other pilots OR as NI-VISA and NOR-488. 2 and have been brought to support 64-bit Linux.  Unfortunately, you need all the modules to use your hardware.

I hope that answers your question.

This looks like something that is caused by a Shell Extension.  If so, try to download the freeware "ShellExView" software and running it.  It displays all currently running shell extensions.  Start by looking for entries ".jpg" in the file Extension column and start to disable them by clicking right on it and selecting "disable."  Work by trial and error and when / if you find the one that is causing your problem, the solution may become more apparent.

  • UnixODBC - cannot compile 64-bit library

I'm not sure of the architecture of the BONE. I guess it's 64-bit and 32-bit running in 32-emulation mode.

    asi_blk_init vis2 live popc

    32 - bit sparc applications

But why then the main OS modules are 32-bit?

/ bin/ls:Executable MSB ELF 32 - bit SPARC Version 1 linked dynamically, stripped

    uname - a

    SunOS ccbodbtst 5.10 Generic_142909-17 sun4v sparc SUNW, T5440

I can't compile library UnixODBC 64-bit in this OS. Only 32 bits is compiled.

Normally the last version of driver manager recognizes the operating system and compile libraries with the correct word size. If this does not work, make sure that you explicitly set 2 flags CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS both with the option DBUILD_REAL_64_BIT_MODE (which you have developed or has been used in your compilation) and m64 to force a 64-bit compilation:

If an environment that compiles the 64-bit libs can be initialized as follows:

    PATH = / usr/ccs/bin: $PATH

    export PATH

    CFLAGS = "- m64 - DBUILD_REAL_64_BIT_MODE.

    export CFLAGS

    CXXFLAGS = "- m64 - DBUILD_REAL_64_BIT_MODE.

    export CXXFLAGS

Now call unixODBC set up with prefixes desired - I usually specify my own odbc.ini/odbcinst.ini site:

    . / configure - prefix = / u01/odbc64/product/unixODBC - sysconfdir = / u01/odbc64/product/unixODBC-enable-gui = no - enable-drivers = no

    then run

    do

    and

    make install

If this does not work, please contact unixODBC.
