2013 Exchange / Outlook / Iphone problems

Greetings.  I don't know where is the best place to post this, so I started here.

I have a situation with a migration Exchange that some clients are unable to connect to it, and I can't find any reason for the failure.

Details:

Initially a Server 2008 / Exchange 2007 deployment, migrated to Server R2 2012 / 2013 of the Exchange.

In and out basic mail flow works, as tested (SMTP) outside and internally with OWA.

I started the test with the Ipad client, using the Protocol of Exchange and initially had some problems settings or permissions that I was

able to solve so I could connect with my test device (first gen, IOS rev 5.1.1) and with another test device (2nd gen, IOS rev 7.x)

as with exchange protocol with a Samsung Galaxy.  At this point, some of the features work, and others don't - even with

all the parameters identical but for the user account.  I tried the trick with enabling journaling of the mobile device, but there is no connection

connected to bad devices it appears, and some show not all the mobile device.  Some customers "just worked" after my changes, and

others have worked after changing the domain in the configuration, and others have no joy at all.

Next test passed to Outlook 2007 running on Windows XP.  Again, I had a few initial problems that seem to be linked to the

SSL certificate, once I set up the CA for the domain and signed a cert for the exchange of use, these issues seem to clear up

on _my_ customer.  Another user with the same configuration (XP + Outlook 2007) does not work.  If he clears his profile when he starts Outlook

customer return and Ipad/Iphone users would be _really_ like this back like many of their contacts in their address book Exchange.

I have searched with some keywords and phrases I could think of to describe, but it is just too hit and Miss, and did not

Find all the good tracks.  Sometimes I find solutions that help a little but exacerbate another.

Any light that can be paid would be useful, and I can give you any missing information that needs it.

    In fact, this does not solve my situation. What finally solved my situation was ensure on word, outlook, and other office programs and go to control panel and type "fixmapi. I then opened the prospects and the message disappeared.

    Uninstall Acrobat Reader DC using tool cleaning Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

    Then install Reader using this link: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution and check if it solves your problem.

    The installation seems to work, but the program may not be running.  Control Panel verifies that the software is installed (1.8 GB) while the installer has not created an S & T normal ICON and the software cannot be loaded even by clicking on the executable file in the program directory files. I have installed/uninstalled the program several times.  Turned off Norton antivirus and firewall and Windows Firewall protection. Restarted again and again. Nothing has worked...

    -Error message: "cannot find a network share or removable device, the DVD is not in the drive or installing this application is damaged.  Make sure that the drive you installed is attached, the DVD is in the drive, your network is connected, or run the installation again from its original installed location.     Is there a way to get around the word 2013 hijacking of the process 'to create a pdf file' Acrobat Pro? Then right click on a doc file and choosing "create a pdf file"... .the process Acrobat will beging but then Word 2013 jumps and creates problems.

    Acrobat X doesn't support office in 2013. You will need to upgrade to Acrobat 11.0.1 or higher to use the feature to create a PDF file.

    Otherwise, you can open the Word file and print to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer. But it is not as rich as the one created by PDFMaker.

  • Failover of DAG 2013 Exchange in Outlook problem

    Hi guys,.

    I'm trying to configure DAG for the first time on Exchange 2013.  Here's what I did:
    -Installed Exchange 2013 std on two virtual machines

    -Set up a witness server

    -Created the DAG (server name, directory witness and he has assigned an IP address)

    -J' have set up my databases and added the copy of database

    -Checked DAG health Active confirmed and index as healthy state

    -Verification of databases is mounted

    Here's the problem I have...

    When I powerdown one of the exchange servers, after that the exchange server starts to close Outlook (2013), poster "folder updated XX: XX."  trying to connect.
    When I check the connection status in Outlook on the workstations, it shows the status of 'Connection' and after a few minutes (between 5 and 10), it finally connects and everything works fine.

    I tried researching this issue and that you have used the following command in the hope, would solve the problem, but it does not

    [PS] C:\>get-OutlookAnywhere | Set-OutlookAnywhere - InternalHostname mail.labtest.co.uk - InternalClientsRequireSsl $false

    My questions are:
    1. I guess that's not just that it takes more than 5 minutes for Outlook to connect when the failover of DAG?  What additional steps need to be checked to prevent this (as I thought that take seconds to scan more)

    2. If a witness server goes down / fail, does that mean that all Email clients will stop working (IE send/receive)

    If this is the case, is it possible to configure a failover of witness? or is it something that should be created in case of failure?

  • Spare JPG to synchronized Outlook email problem with IOS 9.2

    Medium and large images (jpg attachments) with 9.2 IOS email application do not work correctly with MS Windows Basic Outlook. This worked fine before IOS 9.2 and still works very well with Gmail, for example, but not with Outlook/Exchange on Windows. 9.2 IOS (iPhone/iPad) device may not display these images. If they are attached to a message on iPad/iPhone and sent to Outlook, they are corrupt and cannot be displayed. Attachments more large image comes incidentally and received the Outlook/Windows also cannot be displayed in the mail on IOS application. Any solution?

    We use Exchange in our society, and none of our users are facing this problem. Have what troubleshooting measures you tried? Reboot, reset? Remove and re-add the account?

    I have a problem with Outlook 2013 in our Citrix environment. If I use the instant search in outlook, I get only 250 items. First time that I get on the bottom "more...". ", but after clicking on the 'more', I still just 250 elements (there are more items to find in this folder).

    I changed the Option "To improve the search speed by limiting the number of results displayed" to take off the mark but it's the same (find only 250 items)

    Do you have any idea how I can disable this limit?

    This user is currently not on our BES connection to our Exchange Server by using the Internet e-mail option. He is currently on an another BES due to a company takeover.

    The problem is that his mail correctly comes through but his calendar is not synchronized. I checked most of the obvious and watched options through the KB and couldn't find anything too specific. It is not on our BES so I wouldn't have to touch. It could be a problem with the Exchange, but others with the same situation do not experience this problem.

    Each e-mail account integrated with the BB will automatically have a corresponding schedule assigned... color is automatic. In regards to whether or not the calendar can sync OTA, which is based on the features of the server that e-mail account is working with. To my knowledge, OWA is not one of the servers that supports synchronization of calendar OTA and would require the use of sync USB/BT tethered via the desktop software. You can check that by following the instructions in the KB linked above... as it says at the bottom of the KB, if the feature is not listed, then the server is not able to do that through BIS.

    Also I have no idea why others have what they have... maybe they did a wired synchronization? Maybe they have hidden agenda entries left over? Perhaps they received prompt and accepted on the BB? Maybe a lot of things.

    Oh... and look what I found:

  • POS 6.0 DAG 2013 Exchange fails continuously

    Thanks for reading. To say I'm a little nervous that here would be an understatement. I worked on getting this thing deployed since Saturday. Whenever there is consistent failure. I have taken from the configuration and started from scratch, he continually fails.

    The last error I have is below.

    The ports are open on the MS Server 2008 R2 servers. I have zero problem with this. There is nothing between the two servers that can stop them except the ESXi host. It is on the same subnet too so it's not like there issues play with it. One thing I notice, for any reason, the Cluster DAG that is created seems to be losing the IP address that has been provided, I do not understand how it is possible. When I go back to check the configuration, it shows the address IP is 0.0.0.0. but when I go through some of the files I see 10.10.20.0. I'd be 10.10.20.159. Now, the really good part is that if I restart the POS device, it stop trying to save completely. It's like he forgets the whole thing never existed. This is beyond frustrating...

    If it has never worked before, I would start by confirming the exchange of VDP requirements and Setup with the VDP Administrator's guide.

    -If this OPTION is enabled, confirm that you have run the msiexec /i command during installation - Page 154

    -I run the user setup utility backup Exchange and confirm the permissions are correct and the services run under the appropriate user. -page 168

    Other things to look at that are not clearly documented in the VDP Administrator's guide

    -I believe that POS 6.0 requires Exchange 2013 CU3 or newer

    -Try backup 1 node in the DAG.  You don't have to back up a DAG by using the backup DAG Federated configuration.  If you select 1 server to the DAG, as if it were a single server, it will still work and be easier to troubleshoot.

    Good luck.  Alternatively, you can try to open a ticket with the help of VMWare.
