  Just got the new Z930 satellite with the following 128 GB SSD partitions

  Only those that are marked with * are allowed to be deleted using the windows disk management tool.

  I'm assuming that the 8 GB partition is the recovery for a factory restore media. I intend on creating recovery media of course USB (9Gbrequired according to the creator of recovery media - 16 Gb USB recommended). Delete this partition, and then expand the main partition.

  Questions:

  1. someone knows what is the 9.66 GB partition and why it cannot be deleted? Possibly put into hibernation linked, but why 9.66 when there are only 6 GB of RAM installed (which would make the hibernation 4 GB partition)

  2. What is the EFI partition for?

  3. it is curious that if you take 4 GB (what the file hibernation for 6 GB of RAM should be) the 9.66 5,66 remaining and the score of 8 GB are basically the same size as the main 13.5 GB partition reported here for the z930 portege. Why Toshiba would squirrel away from the recovery media as well as space for hibernation? A way to recover the full 13.5 GB asmentioned in the z930 portege post?

  I guess that the 9.66 GB partition called recovery partition is created for HARD drive recovery.
  You can retrieve the laptop using recovery of HARD drive and does not require recovery or recovery USB memory stick drive.
  But I wouldn't delete this partition because you will lose the ability to recover the HARD drive recovery unit

• Partition lost on virtual memory internal after windows bootcamp

  Hi guys

  Then I used the function of bootcamp recently to implement a part of windows on my mac, I'm on the Macbook Pro and using El Capitan 2012 edition.

  I went through the whole process and left my mac making partitioning, when I got home that the loading screen was just my mac normal one and when I went to utility disk that I couldn't find the partition I had chosen for the part of windows. that is, I miss him now 150 GB.

  I'll order a 512 GB Samsung SM951 and I'll try it out in a cMP 2008 3.1. I read where people suggest partitioning approximately 50 GB of free space "for the SSD controller", others say no need to partition just to make sure there is always more than 10% left on the disk.

  In attempting to bootcamp 10 Windows on a MBP 2010 6.2 via the USB port, I was running in issues with the hybrid MBR/GPT tables this created Boot Camp Assistant. I came across some terrible advice that a clean "diskpart" would facilitate the question and it ruined my OSX partition map. Now I have a partition bootable system and could not access my OSX partition somehow. I currently have the corrupt system firewired to other Macbook and target disc mode. I'd love to be able to rewrite the partition table, or retrieve the data. I'm pretty sure that all the data are still there.

  I searched overnight through the support forums, trying to figure out how to solve this problem, but can't seem to find an appropriate response and don't really know how to proceed. I have the usually requested info screen grabs.

  TestDisk can not recover any HFS + or inspect them. You can use Fdisk TPG to recreate the entries of TPG, but the content may not be what you expect. Use the utility diskpart from M$ on a Mac is risky.

  Sorry, I have no idea on how to install directly from a separate to another drive, but you may want to check this . You will need 1 CD (start) and a 4.7 GB DVD (data) because Lenovo recovery adds all this bloatware in factory settings.

  That said, if you want a clean install, use the Windows disk (in case you do not have the same edition, you can download it legally from the net, google it) and your OEM key for activation.

  but as you say one Bank accepts none of the strip of memory, it sounds like a motherboard for me failure...

  hope that there is still a warranty on this machine...
