2D to have rounded images affect?

Hi illustrators.

I have a handful of 2D images that I would have a rounded affect with.  It will probably also have room a reflection or dyed.  Works of features of Illustrator and for this & provide a quick synposis of use.

Also, I try to match the colors in this image, but can't find quite the same shades of these color images.

When you say "rounded", I assume you mean cylindrical shade? In your example, it's all just linear graduated fills. See the online help.

Although very well for the simple graphic style of information in your example, note that this conical object is not at all convincing because graduation does not taper toward the small end of the cone. (Example of why I have argued for years that one of the most necessary aspects of grad fills in basic vector drawing programs would be the one that allows to taper in a fast and easy way.) When the types provided graduates are insufficient (in Illustrator CS3 and earlier versions, they are extraordinarily limited to center-based linear and radial) for the rendered form, generally used mixtures.

Be aware that paths with fills Grad can be mixed. This often overlooked approach can often produce more 'developed' and more compelling and interesting shading in short order.

MeshGrads are useful for realistic rendering of less geometrically uniform forms (more random or 'organic'). The compromise is unbearable boredom in a very heavy interface.

Metallic luster is usually a question of wisely adding more stops and changes of color in the grads (any type). Realism can be strengthened by the development of reflections made in the form of translucent objects or opacity masks. But be aware that once you introduce tansparency, you're requiring pixelation on output.

Instructions for the use of all of the above features are in the online help. It would be ridiculous to try to write instructions explicitly for a general question, because each case of illustration is different. In addition, it would be just a review of the documentation provided. The overall methodology to convince rendering 2D is:

  1. Learn the basics of using the tools provided in the documentation provided.
  2. Try to explore fully their capabilities, limitations, and issues warnings.
  3. STUDYING the topic you want to draw. Attention to what 'hard' as things reflection, transparency, etc., who are really in the sense of a 2D image. (Current example: people worry endlessly about chrome until they finally come to realize that chrome is little more than a distorted image of the nearbyobject.)
  4. Use what you know now what each tool can do, to create a stack of paths that combine to produce a convincing enough.
  5. Always strive for elegance: the more desired effect with simpler construction. Don't not too complicated in an effort to "force" the effect that you want to display.

Consider now that the steps above are really the same as those followed in any graphics medium (watercolor, chalk, oil, you-name-it). You explore the behaviors of the medium and work relying on their strong points while avoiding their limitations. Like you, work and practice , you become more competent and your results become more original, more enjoyable and less work. It is too easy and too common to assume in the software development process that there is a wham-bam, instant-gratification 'trick' to all that you might need to draw (or should have). Don't look for it. Looking for features would we apply relatively simple, which can be exploited in an elegant way with the most versatility.

One other common falacy: continually force you to get out of the mental support everything you put on the page must be a permanent part of the work. Draw temporary paths frequently to help reference and correct geometric construction. Example: If you have some difficulties to see that a particular form of highlighting should look like, 3D effect allows to extrude or revolve a basic form and study the highlights and shadows in the result. Then that imitate the use of mixtures and ordinary 2D graduates.

    We had a problem with Muse 3.0 when footer images getting moved if they had rounded corners or some effects.

    This problem has been fixed with Muse 3.1 update that came out yesterday. I was wondering if the problem of the user was connected.

    Please confirm if the problem is solved after update 3.1 or not?

    Empty iPhoto trash removes only the versions in the trash, not the versions that you still have in your events.

    Image credits are allocated to your team account so please make sure that you select that account rather than staff.

    You can search for images that are of interest and get a glimpse of the delicate versions before you download a licensed version.

    Building the page browse "home"...

    I already downloaded the image I want to use for the banner... When creating a 'collection' you have to fix an image? or can leave you it blank?

    You can build your page to browse everything first? to get an idea of how you want content flow?

    Collections have always to have an image that will be published, but I think you can get a preview without one specified.

    If there is no error 'stand alone' image, it could be a 'global' permission setting bad. You can check here:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste perm and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) if the permissions.default.image preference is in bold and "user set" to some value other than 1, right click > reset this preference to restore the default value 1 (note: a value of 2 blocks images;) ( Ref)

    Reload a page with missing images to see if that makes the difference.

    Select the small image and amounted to a button, place the magnified image and which to a button. Change the button to show/hide the big button do. The large button is hidden until the button is clicked, and then to hide when you click New.

    Alternatively, you can have another InDesign document with images in full size, add text anchors to the images full size. Convert the small images for the buttons (or add invisible buttons above them) and tell the buttons to go to anchor text in the other document. Combine the two documents in a book, export to interactive PDF format.

    My home page is a presentation of three typical fixed-width columns. For the Interior, the content pages, I need basically the same layout, except that I need to have an image that spans the columns left and Center at the top.     My first thought is to start with a two column layout where the left column contains the image. Then I would divide the left column into two columns that start below the image, using a top margin or maybe another attribute of proper positioning.

    But before that I have to create a whole new layout for these pages, I thought I'd check and see if there may be a way easier or better to do. any ideas?

    a. click on the file-Type options start-> open Folder Options.
    b. click on the view tab
    c. to turn ON folder and file preview - thumbnails
    Uncheck the box always show icons, never thumbnails.
    d. click OK.

    (B) rebuild the icon Cache
    a. click on the file-Type options start-> open Folder Options. Click the view tab, select Show hidden folders and files. Click Ok.
    b. open a Windows Explorer window.
    c. go to C:\Users\(User Name) \AppData\Local
    d. right-click on IconCache.db and click on delete.
    e. click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    NOTE: this deletes the file to the trash. It is safe to empty the trash when you are done.

    f. close the window.
    g emptying the trash.
    h. restart the computer.
    i. When you come back, you will notice the size of the file IconCache.db is reduced, and the update is now the current date.

    NOTE: If for some reason any IconCache.db isn't there or the size has not changed much, then just restart the computer again. You may need to restart a few times in some cases.

    j. the icon cache has been rebuilt.
    k. Open Folder Options to select (round) do not show the hidden files and folders. Click ok, and then check if the problem persists.

    You can kind of approximate using the techniques above, but I don't think that you will be able to get an exact match, without something like: http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-18936 "Enable aero transparent glass style" (and probably JavaFX platform additional support so) running.

    And how do you see the sizes of different images on Flickr (of the same image) and it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the image?

    I tried record/export the image as a file InDesign EPS, then open the file in Photoshop, adjusting the size for my taste, save it as a Photoshop file, and then place this file in a new InDesign document and the image appears distorted on the research/pixelated even with my screen zoom to 100%. I also tried this same process with export it as a PDF file instead of an EPS file with the same pixelated/distorted results.

    He just put the page ID of origin in a new document and resize it to meet. The effective resolution of any content raster will increase accordingly, and you can set a value of downsamole and threshold on output, or choose to use the full resolution if you prefer.

    I would like to save an image of my T400 (XP), then upgrade the hard drive for an SSD, then upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 (or 8) and take another picture.

    I have several questions that I hope someone can help me with...

    • Can I use Rescue and Recovery to save several images on a simple USB key?
    • If so, how the sw keep separate files?
    • Will it still work if I use two different versions, Rescue and Recovery, (4.3 for XP) and 4.5 for W7?
    • Is there a way to store images in separate folders on the USB, or which is not necessary?
    • Is there a better way to do it (including using different sw)?

    If you open disk management, you will see Disk 0 with more than one partition. If you want to regenerate a HD in return the same you'll want all or at least two partitions. You will notice the boot partition Active is not C Windows player, but a partition called System_Drv (at least in my system). These two will be required when you image a new drive. Otherwide you will have a fixation with external tools to start.
