  In addition, if the bookmarksbackup files folder it contains, you can try to restore one of it via Firefox Bookmarks (Alt + B) > show all bookmarks > import and backup. See also this.

  Alternatively, you can also check your account of Xmarks for bookmarks. If it had been transferred successfully in the past, you can install Xmarks, connect to Xmarks Firefox, and then download the backup.

  Sorry to hear about this. First of all, Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be useful if your bookmarks are lost or missing.

  1. Click the Bookmarks button

     

     (or

     

     (> Favorites), select show all bookmarks.

  2. At the top of the library window, click on import and backup , and then select restore.
  3. Click on the date of the backup of bookmarks you want to recover.
  4. In the new window that appears, click OK.
  5. Your bookmarks in the selected date should now be restored.

  If the above does not work, it could be that a file has been corrupted (namely the places.sqlite file). You can install the extension of Maintenance of places to run maintenance on the file.   Sorry, it seems that you have selected the option to remove my Firefox personal data and customizations when you uninstalled Firefox 3.6. This option removes all the personal data for all versions of Firefox you have installed.

  Your recent photo (in the last 30 days) should be in the photo stream assuming that you use.

  Otherwise you can just clean up the phone (settings > General > reset > erase all & content settings) and restore the phone again to a more recent backup.

  If the Panel is visible and completely empty, open the window-> Menu panels and put checkmarks in the ones you want to display. Alternatively, you can simply press Ctrl/1-6 to bring the different sections. If the sidebar is gone, click the midway small gray triangle on the right side of your screen. Click twice to make it remain displayed.

  For your safety, you must do a lot of software updates. You may be holding back for some reason any. Let us know what it is because there may be a fix or workaround now.

  Perhaps.  An analysis of file system I think would replace the help files, but you can try it, there is no harm.  Just open a command prompt (right click and "open as Administrator"), and then type sfc/scannow

• Windows 7 - all the desktop shortcuts have disappeared

  OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (Build 7100 evaluation version)

  I was using my computer tonight (normal use, nothing happens out of the unusual, without errors or problems etc.). I shut down the system to go for dinner but later when I got to use again, I started it and connected but were none of my icons on my desktop. I got about 26 icons, 4 included shortcuts 'system' to the computer, the user files, network, trash.

  When click with the right button on the desktop, the option is there to add a shortcut, navigation and selecting a file results in nothing, no shortcut is visible. When I go to my desktop to users home directory, in the following location: "C:\Users\loggedonusername\Desktop" most of the shortcuts is visible here (including those above, I added that resulted in anything on the desktop) and I can add more within this directory, but they also do not appear. The 'system' ones (computer, user files, network, trash) still show as checked in the menu of desktop customization, unchecking, reticking, change theme and other options does nothing to restore them on my desk.
  Icons/shortcuts on the start menu are fine (visible and functional) - just nothing I try seems to show those on my desk. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  PS - I did a full system scan with the AV, nothing, even with malware/spyware scanners software. I also did a scan with Windows SFC - audit was 100%, no violation error / integrity.

  Most likely a minor bug with the CR. After execution of the RC for several months I am now facing two minor problems myself with the Explorer shell... (1) the window 'Opens' is enabled preview pane and no matter what I do, it is not off and (2) I had to rebuild my library because they had all kinds of mix upward on the folders they were supposed to point to (my library of music made for my photos, pictures sharp documents downloads pointed to a nonexistent drive, etc.).   I renewed my membership full CC on 6 January of this year.  Payment of 45UKP taken by Adobe.  All access to all CC programs disappeared.  When I connect it tells me I have one year subscription, but when I tried to download any program it tells me that I left the 0 days of my free trial and I wonder if I want to buy the product. I contacted Adobe customer support chat, they have no idea what is the problem and so just lie - telling someone will contact me by email and the problem will be solved within 24 hours.  No one ever contacted me.

  It took a while for firefox on startup when I clicked on the icon and then there was a message from mozilla/firefox suggest I have reset firefox and all my bookmarks, cookies, etc. would be saved. After the reset, I don't have 1 bookmark. So far, the only thing this computer recognize now is my sign-on so that I can ask this question.

  Make sure you delete all the other files in places in the profile folder if have a copy you of backup of places.sqlite.
