I found the solution to display a composed PDF-Redhat Linux PDF portfolios.

Use the (Evince - Document Viweer) native PDF Viewer. In the left panel, where it shows generally "miniature" - select "Accessories" in the dropdown menu drop-down. This will show you all the embeded PDF files. Just double click to view.

  • Windows 7 64-bit Adobe Reader 9.3 and IE8 - opening PDF in the tab and then says closing tab causes IE8

I've been running Win7 64 bit for quite awhile now and only up to what a few weeksa go started having problems with Adobe Reader continues to ask me how I wanted to read a document and click here to save the settings, and don't ask me again.  The box has never worked and it will continue to ask me questions constantly everytime I open a new PDF file.

I finally understood how to get rid of the nagging dialog box but now everytime I open a new tab with a PDF file in it and then close the tab, IE8 crashes and tries to pick up the tab.  It's never happened before.

What is the cause and how to fix this?  Please notify.

Upgrade to 9.3 this morning and the problem remains.  Tried to uninstall all traces of Adobe Reader and reinstall but still no dice.

Problem happens also to home on a similar computer running Win 7 64 bit and use an earlier version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

    Try this:

Right-click on the IE8 icon in the taskbar. A menu pop ups upward. Right click again on 'Internet Explorer'. Then left click on "Run as Administrator". I had another problem with the drive and this has solved the problem. The problem I had was that I couldn't save PDFs in IE8. This solves this problem.

The Adobe Reader Plugin is simply not available in my 38.05 Firefox 64 bit - I can't download it from (tried) Adobe or anywhere else - how do I get the Plugin?

    Thank you

That's the downside of trying to use any Firefox Win64 versions (including the 38.0.5b2 that you are testing) are the plugins must be 64-bit as 32-bit Plugins won't work.

  • Adobe Reader 10.1.3 crashing when trying to print, Windows 2003 server 64-bit (Citrix/Terminal srv)

I'm running 9 servers Citrix with about 300 daily users.

Servers are running Windows Server 2003 64-bit, with Citrix Presentation server 4.5.

Since the last time that I've updated (Adobe Reader, Flash Player and Windows updates), he had a problem when you try to print from Adobe Reader.

First of all, I have installed Adobe Reader 10.1.2 and when users tried to print, then planted program.

Then I tried the upgrade to Adobe Reader 10.1.3 and the same problem occurred.

Then I tried downgraded to the same 10.1.0,.

Finally, I tried and old version 9.5 and again, I get the same error.

I also tried to disable the protected mode, nothing works.

No matter what I do, I always get this crash when you try to print.

The funny thing is, if I do a new install of Adobe Reader 10.1.3 then printing works fine, until users connect to the server.

Then it will work ever again, unless I have do a reinstall.

The program crashes when you type preferences.

    Help!

I've now changed my PDF Reader Foxit Reader on my servers and everything works great.

    Thank you very much Adobe!

    Hi susans76239434,

As all your PDF documents are now appear as a word file, please right-click on any PDF file icon and choose ' open with... > choose default program > Adobe Acrobat XI "and click OK.

This will open the PDF with Acrobat files only and not Word.

Then, you can try to convert PDF into word via Adobe Reader.

  • When I updated my Adobe Acrobat plug-ins it uninstalled Adobe Reader and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Can I use Adobe Reader instead?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Firefox said that my plugin Adobe Acrobat was outdated, so I've updated. It uninstalled my Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18 and replaced it with Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2015.008.20082 DC. I did not like this program, and more I read there are still bugs in there. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18. I went into the menu of options of Firefox under applications and changed the options Adobe to use Adobe Reader as the default application for PDF files. It is a safe choice, or should I leave Firefox dictate what PDF program I use? I am concerned about safety issues. Any opinions?

I think that your question has been answered mainly in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1079182

In my opinion, you can trust Adobe to keep the series XI Reader updated for awhile. It is completely safe is impossible to know, given that vulnerabilities are often discovered and kept secret.

The plug-in may not work well in Firefox because you are using an older version of Adobe Reader.

Please note that there is currently a security breach uncorrected in Adobe Reader that is actively exploited by criminals.

The current version of Adobe Reader (unpatched) is:

    As an alternative, consider using

You need to uninstall Adobe Reader unpatched software and install one of the PDF readers alternatives to its place as long as product Adobe is fixed, although you may find you like other products all also, or more.

  • Adobe Reader XI

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC with windows 7 Home premium. It came with a free trial of Acrobat X Pro, which has long expired. When I try to open attachments pdf by e-mail and in other situations, I get a message box that my free trial has expired. Sometimes in different websites when things have to be open I was informed by the site that I need Adobe Reader XI and a link is provided for free download. When I try to do that I get the message that it is already installed. I don't know how to uninstall it from scratch. Somewhere along the line you gave me the advice to go into tools and enable active scripting in the Internet zones and Internet options. They both were already activated.

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum to ask this question. If this isn't the case, maybe someone can direct me as to where to go. I'm desperate. I can't complete the registration to the Obamacare until I have it solved.

On a scale of 1 to 10 for introduction to computer science I am a 2 at best, so please consider this if you answer and be nice.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Try the following.

Click on the Start Menu, type programs and features and press ENTER.

In the list of installed programs, right-click on Adobe Acrobat Pro and select uninstall.

    Once done, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and Save the Adobe cleaning tool (on the link below (enter a check mark in the box 'conditions and benefits' and appears in the form of downloadable files - is the file that you need AcroCleaner 10.x ).)

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Once done, open your download folder, right click on the compressed file "acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p2_061713", choose 7-Zip, select extract files and click Ok.

Open the newly extracted folder and run the file AdbeArCleaner_v2.

When it has finished, reboot the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, see if you can now successfully install Adobe Reader from the following link.
