64-bit Adobe Reader is available?

Hello

I have a question.  64-bit Adobe Reader is available?

Hi kvk1985,

Adobe Reader is a program that works on 64 bit 32 bit as well.

There is no separate 64-bit drive available.

Kind regards

  • Disabling Adobe Reader XI availability Notifications

Hi, can people recommend ways to automate the removal of the Adobe Reader XI in the system tray in Windows? (for example by using a script, or SCCM for more than 500 hundred machines)

It's a bit of inconvenience, and we prefer to use 9.5.4 as its more compatible with some software people need to use.

    Thank you

The notification goes away when you turn off auto-update in the preferences?  If so, check to see what registry entry is changed, then find a way to apply this change to all computers.

I can't open the PDF files in adobe reader 9.5.1 under Redhat Linux 64 bit. all I get is a black screen. Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Kind regards

    Hi all

I found the solution to display a composed PDF-Redhat Linux PDF portfolios.

Use the (Evince - Document Viweer) native PDF Viewer. In the left panel, where it shows generally "miniature" - select "Accessories" in the dropdown menu drop-down. This will show you all the embeded PDF files. Just double click to view.

  • Windows 7 64-bit Adobe Reader 9.3 and IE8 - opening PDF in the tab and then says closing tab causes IE8

I've been running Win7 64 bit for quite awhile now and only up to what a few weeksa go started having problems with Adobe Reader continues to ask me how I wanted to read a document and click here to save the settings, and don't ask me again.  The box has never worked and it will continue to ask me questions constantly everytime I open a new PDF file.

I finally understood how to get rid of the nagging dialog box but now everytime I open a new tab with a PDF file in it and then close the tab, IE8 crashes and tries to pick up the tab.  It's never happened before.

What is the cause and how to fix this?  Please notify.

Upgrade to 9.3 this morning and the problem remains.  Tried to uninstall all traces of Adobe Reader and reinstall but still no dice.

Problem happens also to home on a similar computer running Win 7 64 bit and use an earlier version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

    Try this:

Right-click on the IE8 icon in the taskbar. A menu pop ups upward. Right click again on 'Internet Explorer'. Then left click on "Run as Administrator". I had another problem with the drive and this has solved the problem. The problem I had was that I couldn't save PDFs in IE8. This solves this problem.

  • Filling out forms Adobe Reader on Linux - alternatives computers?

I work with a group that has limited resources, and they use Linux computers.  There are. PDF forms that are supposed to be completed online using Adobe Reader.  The producer and the creator of the document is presented as "Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2" and the format is PDF - 1.7 and optimization and two security say 'no '.

When you try to open the form using the documents Viewer (Evince-based, seems) the following text is displayed:

    Please wait...

If this message is not subsequently replaced by the good content of the document, your PDF file

Viewer is not able to display this type of document.

But when you go to these sites, there is no option available (despite what it says in the text above) "Linux" in the download links.  Apparently, Adobe Reader is therefore no longer available for download or use on Linux computers, that really stinks for these people.  We thought that a. PDF, was supposed to be an almost universal 'portable' format  It's not how Adobe convinced government agencies to produce their documents and forms in. PDF format?

This form doesn't seem to work on Android devices running the Adobe Reader program (from downloads of Adobe) either.

Are there alternatives, for example other software that will run on Linux, allowing these people to simply fill in and complete the. PDF forms and send back them?  We cannot purchase all licenses of Microsoft Windows.  What can do now to complete the forms?

Use Windows or Mac for these files. (Even if Adobe Reader is available for mobile devices also, it will not handle these files).

The Adobe Reader Plugin is simply not available in my 38.05 Firefox 64 bit - I can't download it from (tried) Adobe or anywhere else - how do I get the Plugin?

    Thank you

That's the downside of trying to use any Firefox Win64 versions (including the 38.0.5b2 that you are testing) are the plugins must be 64-bit as 32-bit Plugins won't work.

  • the voice reader is now available in the latest version of Adobe Reader on iOS?

the voice reader is now available in the latest version of Adobe Reader on iOS?

    Hello

Currently, Adobe Reader for iOS does not have an In - App text-to-speech function to read a PDF document.  There are no buttons or menus to start, pause, or stop reading the content of a PDF document in the Adobe Reader application.

You pouvez use the Apple iOS "VoiceOver" built-in screen reader to read a PDF document.  But it probably didn't work as expected.  Because VoiceOver reads all the buttons and other controls that you select on the screen.

You can go to iOS settings > General > accessibility > VoiceOver to turn it on and navigate back to a PDF document open in Adobe Reader for iOS for VoiceOver read PDF content.

    Accessibility features

Once VoiceOver is enabled, you can use gestures special, such as three-finger scan or double click, for navigation.  (However, many users find it difficult to navigate with active VoiceOver.)

For the In - App text-to-speech feature request, please use the form below.

The product management team will take your request into consideration for a future version of Adobe Reader for iOS.
