Do I have to download the patches (JULY13PSU:16619892 for 32-bit solaris)
32-bit version, even if my Solaris install is 64-bit
(2) I can use JULY13PSU:16619892 to patch this new oracle home as he only customer.32 component no database and examples

PL don't post duplicates - client oracle 32-bit compiler

If your previous post is left unanswered, then it is probably because...

1. your message was incomplete or unclear - update your original post with details that can help trigger a response

2. anyone else came across this question - you have connected an SR with support?

    Hi all

I had to unstall the product of Hyperion epm after I found the installation have to done on another language, that has the oracle for 32 and 64-bit client. But when I reinstall it complains the way at oracle.

Here is the error I get from the newspaper.

[FATAL] [INS-32053] The original name of the Oracle Home specified directory already exists.

CAUSE: The name of the base directory Oracle Home specified on the command line matches an existing Oracle Home directory name in the central inventory.

I made sure that the file system is completely is deleted after the unstallation except these client files which I deleted manually.

It seems that the unnstalation does not correctly for clients and old path is somewhere still exists. I deleted the path in the environment variable path list customer and tried again but no luck.

Can someone help me identify the places where I should look to remove Oracle's previous home.

    Thank you

The register, perhaps, or the inventory (which is in c:\program files\oracle or c:\program files (x 86) \oracle - I don't remember right now).

However, if you search for 'clean up the windows machine' Support of Oracle, you can find an article that shows you how to remove all traces of the Oracle software from your Windows computer.

  • oracle client 32-bit to a 64-bit Oracle Server

Because of the requirement of a 3rd party application, I can have to use client 32-bit Oracle 10 g 2 on the application server to connect to a 64-bit (another box) DB server. The OS is Linux SUSE 10 worm. The platform is x 86.

-Is that degrade performance? Oracle has all the recommendations of such a scenerio? Searched the net without saving.

    Help, please. Thank you.

No problem with 32-bit client (well at least not because of the length of Word anyway).

And if you have both, it will be relatively easy to test with a small application of demonstration OIC/ProC (no sqlplus as it is not a very precise measurement tool), but I wouldn't worry even on this. I install the application, test it and see if she performs acceptably. If so, then I should stop worrying and go out for a beer.

  • Performance issue of SAP with Oracle 10 on Sun SPARC T5240 server

    Dear friends,

We have a performance issue after the migration of our basic system of SAP ERP 6.0. To new servers, we moved a month ago.
The report of EarlyWatchAlert SAP response time of CPU is too high, although the CPU utilization is never more than 5%,

    The current system is:

Database server: Sun SPARC Enterprise T5240 Server - 2 CPU´s with 6 core wire 8, 1.2 Ghz 32 GB RAM
and we use a different identical server configured as an application server.

Database is Oracle 10.2.0 and Solaris 10 operating system.

The problem is CPU average response time is 450 ms and maximum CPU load is 5% percent.

Configuration prior to migration with the old servers, we got the answer of CPU: 150 ms and max CPU load: 50%.
    Old configuration: 2 X HP rp3440, 2 X PA 8800 (2 core, 1.0 GHz) CPU.

You have experience with a similar situation, setting that could be bad for server CPU´s not making full use?
or you know any similar configuration for benchmark?

    Thanks in advance

    Uzan

The new server's processors in Niagara? If so you could run in the known performance issue identified in MOS Doc 781763.1 (Migration of fast single machine threaded CPU to CMT UltraSPARC T1 and T2 causes an increase in the CPU reports)

  • Is there a 64-bit version of the VPN Client for the coming of Vista?

Is there a 64-bit version of the VPN Client for Vista to come for VPN 3000 series concentrators?

    Hello

A bit is a tour here.

    According to Cisco:

Install the VPN Client on a Vista 64 bit Machine will cause an error 1721

Cisco IPSec Client does not support 64-bit. If the user requires a 64-bit support, upgrade path is to use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client instead, that supports 64-bit. Note that the AnyConnect Client supports only SSL VPN (CSCsi26069) connections.

So if you want to go with 64-bit, you need SSL support on the VPN 3000 series and replace all IPSEC with SSL connections.

    Please rate if this helped.

    Kind regards

All the oracle 10g is under extended support, version 10g XE was torn off in the download pages at any time 10g has been extended.

Will probably not be able to get a download of any place under oracle.com, but it could be a few sites still harboring. Try google.
