4.0EA1 - "My Documents" folder is not accessible

Hello

When I right click on a table in the table under a specific connection list and select "Import data", various files are displayed as 'My Documents '. When I click on the "My Documents" folder, I get an error saying that the directory is not accessible. I tried the "Run as Administrator" option in Windows, but the error persists.

OS: Windows 7, Enterprise Edition

SQL Developer: 4.0.0.12

JDK: 1.7.0_25

Kind regards

Ousseni

I see this as a problem in general with the file panel, not only with the import.  It's probably a problem with the component that we use and the magic that makes windows 7 with the My Documents folder.  You must also have a folder of Documents shown in this dialog box.  The Documents folder must be the same as the My Documents, but you should have problems of access to it.  I am filing a bug.

  • Scan to folder is not accessible

My HP 8500 recently packed.  I uninstalled the printer from control PANEL and manually delete the SCAN TO FOLDER I had configured on the DESKTOP computer.

I then bought a new HP8600.  The 8600 works very well with scans for designated folder, etc.

My problem is that I continually get an error in my bar of STATE SYSTEM, informing me that the "SCAN to FILE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE".  I'm guessing that some system calls are made in the background looking for the old 8500 SCAN on FILE that was on my desktop.

Can someone help me with this please

    Hi doughheads,

I recommend to open Add or remove programs in Control Panel and make sure there are only installed nothing yet for the 8500 JO.

  • Folder is not accessible. Access is denied.

You just bought a new Windows 7 machine and transferred all my files from my old XP box.  When you try to save an email (using the first class), I get this error message when you try to open My Documents.

Just guessing, but I think you had a different username and your old box then click your new. That's why the 'My documents' folder belongs to a "different" user You can easily fix this by taking possession (if that's the problem).

Right click on the folder 'my documents '.
    Select Properties
Click the Security tab, and then click the Advanced button
Click the owner and see who is the owner. If this is your account name, check permissions (should be anything but special). If it is not you, change the owner of your account name.
Check the permissions to make sure that you have everything.

When you have transferred all courses, has created a new documents folder? If that were the case, you will want to make sure you that take possession of those that you are interested in.

If my assumption is wrong, please provide the error message and the location of the folder 'My documents' you try to save in.

  • Send photos of the library of Documents folder does not work with Outlook

I can click on an image in a folder in my library of documents and the Send button appears in the toolbar.

When I click on the button send the files to join watch box.

When I click on join I expect a new e-mail message should be created, but it is not.

    Hello, reda,

Wow.  I had finally fixed it!

I rebooted in safe mode and Office would not work.  I got an error message saying:

"MS Office is unable to verify the license for this application.  A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user.  The application will now be stopped. »

When I rebooted normally, the same error message!  If I could use not any Office10 application at all!

I tried to run repair a few times without success.

Then, I tried to re - enter my key product several times with no success.

So I completely uninstalled Office, rebooted and tried to reinstall it.  He would not move from the DVD; It got stuck after a few minutes!  (I had already reinstalled the DVD even Office a few times before to try to solve my problem, so I didn't think that the DVD was bad.)

Finally, I borrowed a USB key with the Office Setup program from one of our it specialists.  Finally I could reinstall Office10, enter my product key and activate the online office!

    And now everything works perfectly.

Thank you very much for your help and encouragement.

  • I can't reinstall firefox, I get the error 'Could not load profile' and not a solution I found works. / Appdata/roaming/mozilla folder is not accessible.

I'm on Win7 64 bit. Initially, I uninstalled because a program has changed my page of the new tab to something unwanted and I literally had no way to change this back. Now, every time I reinstall, I get the error "cannot load the profile, it may be missing or unreachable", and I can't create a new profile. Whenever I try to any method of opening the profile editor, I get the error 'Could not load profile' then too. I can't access the folder in/appdata/roaming/mozilla at all. It is said it is accessable and access is denied, and tries to remove it tells me I have not permission (even if I'm the admin). No other difficulty I saw worked. Can someone help, please?

I have done a virus scan, cleaned up one piece of adware, rebooted, and it worked all of a sudden. I don't know what exactly caused to start working, but he did, so I consider this issue closed.

  • After upgrading from Vista created a new documents folder and now ignores the original

Last week I updated my computer (which I believe has an update of the graphics card and some windows stuff) using Windows update and left while he was closing. I guess what he finished close, but as I was leaving for the weekend, I can't be 100% sure and this weekend my house loses power at least once.

As for the problem, at windows startup today made first time setup that works normally when you connect to a user account for the first time. Applications of Sidebar by default loading, the default value of the user interface (that I don't use, so it was the first sign), and I found that on the opera opening, all my favorites and settings were gone.

At the opening of my documents, I found that they were completely empty of content, including all hidden folders where all of my settings the user should be.

Navigation around the computer, I find that this will C:\Users\USERNAME\ my documents are still intact, but are ignored, with all the shortcuts leading to my documents redirect me to the 'new' documents folder, which means that for all purposes useful all my user settings for all programs that store data in the documents have been reset.

Maybe someone has an idea of what may have caused this?  Personally, it's one of the strangest bug I've ever seen in any version of windows, and I'm not sure how I should go to deal with it.

    Update:

To check the path of the 'new' documents folder, it appears as C:\Users\TEMP

This means at least all of my original documents folder has not been deleted, but I'm trying to support everything up to an external drive where vista decided to replace my old documents folder entirely.

    Hello

You can perform a restore of the system on the computer to restore the previous settings again.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

For more information follow the link below.

  • The folder location of the root of the Documents folder locations

    Original title: windows Explorer

Why are also copied the files listed under Documents to the users folder?

    Hi Jack,

I would like to inform you that the exact location of the Documents folder in the C: drive is

    C:\Users\\My Documents

My Documents contains the same information from libraries as well.

It is only in this way that we watch it the location of the Documents folder is not displayed in the location of the source when opened directly.

    Hope this information helps.

  • How can I move the "Virtual Machines" folder to the My Documents folder?

VMwareFusion is to put the "Virtual Machines" folder in the Documents folder in the home folder (/users/ [username] / Documents), how can I move elsewhere (as/Library/Application Support)? The user Documents folder is not the right place for automated it system files, it is intended for personal documents.

I am running VMware Fusion on OS X Yosemite (and the virtual machine is Windows 7).

You can keep your virtual machines anywhere you want. Here are the steps to move:

1 exit VMware Fusion. You can stop first of all of your running virtual machines.

    2. drag your virtual computers folder or the individual VM "files" where you / them. Filenames usually end in ".vmwarevm". There is no need to call the new folder "Virtual Machines" - you can call it anything you like.

    3. Launch VMware Fusion. If the library of the Virtual Machine window is not open, open it (Windows menu-> Virtual Machine library).

    4. ensure that all of your icons for the virtual machine are light gray and say "file not found".

    5. right click on each virtual machine in turn, and select Remove. When you are done, leave the window of Machine virtual library empty open.

    6. in the Finder, drag the icons of file virtual machine in their new location and drop them in library of virtual machines VMware Fusion window. Drop them one by one in the original order, you got, or rearrange icons later.

    7. run your virtual machines as before.

When you create new virtual computers, navigate to the desired file before the Save.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you your folder of Machines ~/Documents/Virtual excluded from backups Time Machine, don't forget to change the exclusion to the new folder.

Time Machine backups are not reliable for virtual machines. You must have another strategy. (I shut the virtual machine down, compress the 'file', and then move the compressed file to a folder that is included in the Time Machine backups. This isn't the only strategy, but it works for me.)

  • Adobe, the creation of new "documents" folder, all of a sudden

I have CS4. On a PC, Windows Vista.

I started to use still today. The program had a few random problems that kept crashing the program. I started a new file after a reboot, and now it has worked well.

HOWEVER, Adobe now suddenly creates a NEW 'Documents' folder in the folder of the user box (video, music, photos, etc.). He USED to put all these files remain in the existing Documents folder, does not create a new breath! It does this for all CS4 programs I open now.

Any ideas how can I fix? It's extremely annoying!

  • c:\Documents and settings is not accessible. Access is denied

Even if my user account appears under my being the administrator, it is still not allow me access to my documents and settings files.  It is said to "c:\documents and settings is not accessible. Access is denied. "When I came to my computer, I know I opened at least two accounts, both with full administrator access, and yet the account opens is called"Judy"which is my name and at the same time, I'm sure to set up he asked me who has computer it was, so I wrote my name, but when I connect to my computer the account that opens is called"Judy"that even if I never named an account, it is still the only account he allows me to open. When I go to the command prompt to change user names, the screen goes black, and this same account "Judy" appears towards the top and asks for my password.  Simply, it will not show two accounts that I actually put in place.  I followed the instructions from the answer to someone else who has had a similar problem and he showed how you can determine if the account you are using is a standard or administrative account.  I did what told him to do and he came that Judy was indeed an administrator account. I was also able to show the names of all accounts on this computer and stood in the two accounts I made, of which none were called Judy, so I know that these accounts are in there, somewhere and why they are not listed when I ask to change user accounts is a mystery to me.  I've been going around in circles with this.  Everybody out there familiar with this kind of madness?  Any help is appreciated.

Documents and Settings is not a real file in Windows 7. It is a junction which is configured to allow existing programs to interface with the Windows 7 folder structure.

Instead, Windows 7 uses these files:

    C:\Users\*your User Name * \My Documents

    and

    Username C:\Users\*Your * \Appdata

    (appdata is a hidden folder)

Look in C:\Users to see which accounts exist.

Also you can access the control panel > user accounts to edit.

In Windows Vista, the Documents and Settings folder is not a real file.  It's just a junction for compatibility, that is why its hidden.  Your files are now living in the users folder.
