4.1 EA1 - Oracle 9.2.0.8 errors

SD 4.1.0.17.29

Oracle 9.2.0.8 RDBMS

Windows 7

Lightweight client connection

User preferences migrate from 4.0.3

SD connects to RDBMS successfully and displays the object db tree - when a specific table is enabled, I get "ORA-01460: letter dead or unreasonable conversion requested" - no information contained in the tabs column, constraint, grant, statistics, trigger, dependence, detail, partition, index or ddl appears - all return the same error - however, the data tab to return rows in the table. Some views are shown in the tree, and I get the same error as above when I select the views node. The situation is similar for each of the other db object nodes in the tree. Are you going to 9i databases support in this version?

Thank you

Steve

Hi Steve,.

Developer SQL depends on JDBC to connect to the database.  The minimum required version of the JDBC driver for versions 4.x is one that comes with the 11.2.0.3 customer DB.  In particular, 4.0 comes with the 11.2.0.3 driver and 4.1 ships with the 12.1.0.2 driver. If SQL Developer DB supported version depends on the DB of JDBC driver support, found in Oracle JDBC frequently asked Questions

As you can see, or 10g or 9i are supported.  For older versions, the FAQ advice is "if it is not listed in the table above, please check with your support channel to see if you're still on the contract of support for older versions.

There is a rule of thumb that the Oracle JDBC drivers are generally backward compatible for two major versions. The best you could expect to get out with the help of the 12.1.0.2 driver is for Oracle 10.2.0.5 connection.  To 9.2.0.8, try using tools > Preferences > Database > advanced to point to a 11.2.0.3 Oracle client (full or instant).

Kind regards

    Hi I'm new to OFA. I am trying to create a master-details form based on the example given on Youtube (but using my own paintings).

    I have already defined in table colums.

    AM code is as follows:

    Public Sub CreateEmailHdrRow()

    String s = "Test";

    Line = vo.createRow ();

    vo.setMaxFetchSize (0);

    }

    row.setAttribute ("EmailDefName", s);

    row.setNewRowState (Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);

    }

    When I run, the error occurs at the level of line (rank rank = vo.createRow ();)

    Error message: oracle.jbo.RowCreateException: Houston-25017: error when creating a new entity for xxVmmcSendEmailDefHdrEO line.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Anjan,

    Please check that the type of the CreatedBy attribute is a number representing the id in FND_USER and not the actual text of the name of the user. Standard Oracle columns that use a number for this value not varchar.

    You can not install on 6.3 10.2. You can not install anything older than the GR 11, 2 (11.2.0.3) on Oracle Linux 6 Oracle database. Nothing else is certified. Setup for 10.2 is simply not designed to run on Oracle Linux 6 in all.

    You run emctl off $ORACLE_HOME/bin (which would begin control of single instance database tool), instead of run emctl off $OMS_HOME/bin (which begins OEM 12 c Cloud Control).

    Run the following: $OMS_HOME/bin/emctl start SGD

  • connect Oracle using shell with the error log

    Hello

    I need to connect to oracle 10g db using unix shell files. Already I have username, password, hoststring and details is SCOTT/TIGER@TESTDB.
    I need to pass the values of this 3 (SCOTT/TIGER@TESTDB) at runtime only (i.e.) as PARAMETERS. Suppose that I'll give the wrong password or username, I need to capture this error in 1file and send the error details to our dba teams mail identification. Identification of email as [email protected] if its success, I have need to write the 'success' message in 1 file and no need to send a mail to the group.

    Can U please help to solve this problem.

    Thanks and greetings

  • CKM Oracle: Max number of parameter errors in CKM

    Hello

    I have a question and need your suggestion.

    The ODI version: ODI 11 G

    I use Oracle CKM as my knowledge Module check.
    In CKM, we have an option "Maximum number of allowed of errors"... to give as a percentage or number.

    My requirement is if the total error is greater than 10% for any interface, ODI needs to send an email and move on to the next interface.
    I have e-mail in ODI and test facility.
    However, when I speak of 10% in this area, and if the number exceeds 10% of the total number, the INterface fails.

    I want to know how ODI calculaing the error number and if the above scenario can be implemented.

    Pratik.

    You can use
    rows_ins = "<%=odiRef.getPrevStepLog("INSERT_COUNT")%>". »,
    rows_upt = ' <%=odiRef.getPrevStepLog("UPDATE_COUNT")%> to get it.

    Otherwise, you check the snp_step_log table

    Thank you
