4 Lightroom and Sony A7RII files

I have Lightroom 4 and I can't open my new Sony A7RII ARW files. Can someone help me?

You can download the free Adobe DNG converter and convert your RAW to DNG, and then import the DNG in Lightroom.

You can also buy Lightroom 6.1.1/Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 or later version.

Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after changing color ProPhoto RGB space. Then, I opened a picture at once and changed the settings of Photoshop CC ProPhoto RGB color (under the workspace). When I was editing on photoshop, I tried to export the image, but the colors seemed different, a bit washed out and blue, from the color of the workspace, I was on. I don't know how to solve this problem. Please notify.

Thank you very much for this! Color sorted

  • Lightroom 6 and Sony ARW files: any ideas on how to open them?

    Hello

I've recently upgraded to a version in retail box of the of the LR5 LR6 on a Windows 7 PC. Before I installed LR6 I had to covert all my (of a gun D 760) CR2 files to DNG files to open. But since LR6, I can't open the CR2 files no problem. If all well and good...

However, my son uses a camera Sony A6000 and he sent me a file ARW (RAW native format of Sony) to change its name and I can not open in Lightroom 6 in all.

I tried to convert a DNG file and a Tiff file, but when I navigate to the appropriate folder, Lightroom is not 'visible' as well as all other DNG files in the same folder. When I try to add the Lightroom file 'sees' the other DNG and CR2 files... just not the ARW file converted.

Oddly enough, I seem to be able to open the ARW file in Photoshop CS5, but when I save it in Tiff format in that Lightroom is unable to see when I'm sailing on the desktop or in the folder I have recorded.

PS I also tried opening the ARW files in Lightroom directly by converting only the DNG files, but that does not work either.

Does anyone else have any experience of this? No workaround would be greatly appreciated.

The A6000 has been supported from 5.4 LR - see devices supported by Camera Raw . It is not a compressed format, is it? I don't know much about Sony, but I wonder if that's the problem.

As an experiment, place the ARW file in a folder to share, and then see if you can import it.

  • Can I change the location of the library of Lightroom and default data files?

    Marc MandelbaumCommunity Member

    Hello

I am running Lightroom 5 on a macbook pro 17 "equipped for one SSD 240 GB and a hard drive internal 1 TB extra.  I have lots of software installed, including a large part of the following relevant Adobe and when all is said and done, I don't have much room for manoeuvre.

I just imported less than 20% of my photos, about 90 GB, in Lightroom, and the "Lightroom 5 catalog Previews.lrdata" file is about 1/10th of that to 9 GB.  That doesn't seem like much in the overall scheme of things, I know, but which leaves my hard disk space available to a mere 14 GB, which is not good at all.

My question is this: I looked hard and can't seem to find a way of change my Lightroom catalog files default location?  I would like to change this over the other internal disk where I have a lot of space.  I understand that I am able to move the library once it is compiled, but simply, I don't have enough space to import my library on the main (240 GB SSD) drive to then move it.

    Thank you for your help.

    Marc

Lightroom will create these files the first time, it opens. And he put them in the default location. Let Lightroom it's thing. Then, before doing all the work at all in Lightroom, close Lightroom and move the folder that contains all the files whenever you want. Double-click the catalog (.lrcat) to start Lightroom. The default preference for the catalog is to open one last used. So now, the catalog in this new location will be one that will open.

  • 5 Lightroom and Sony RX100 mk4

    Hello!

    I use lightroom 5 and recently bought a Sony RX100 mk4.

Adobe has recently released an update for lightroom on this device, but not for lightroom 6 5.

They are never going to get out an update for lightroom 5 for this device, or they themselves with lightroom 5.

    Thank you for your comments.

    Hi brians29240292,

6 of Lightroom is an upgrade to LR 5, so if you are upgrading to LR 6 you will be able to use your Raw images in LR.

You can also download the FREE Adobe DNG Converter version 9.0 or later and convert your RAW to DNG, which can be read by Lightroom 5.7

  • gross use of Sony a7rII in Lightroom 5.7.1

I am owner of Lightroom 5.7.1, last 5.x and want to read and edit the new camera Sony raw A7RII.

Is this possible?  It does not recognize.

I don't want to go through an intermediate conversion to DNG, unless you can tell me there is no data loss by using this method.

(Conversions usually results in data loss, at least in other media).

    Thank you

    Hello

It is not possible to display the images of the Sony A7RII in 5.7.1 LR because it doesn't have the latest version of Camera Raw,

However 6 Lightroom integrated the latest version of Camera Raw 9.1.1 that supports RAW of Sony A7RII files.

Please read this article for camera Raw cameras supported: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Please let us know if it helps.

  • How to open Sony Raw files in LR5 - a7 and a7RII cameras

How to open Sony Raw files in LR5 - a7 and a7RII cameras?

I'm running the last LR5 5.7.1 version but could not open the raw files of Sony cameras, a7 and a7RII.

    Help, please.

Sony A7 needs to import fine in Lightroom 5.7.1. Exactly what happens? What is the error message Word for Word unpublished full accurate?

Sony A7R II requires Lightroom 6.1.1/Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 or later version. You'd have to buy one of them; or alternatively, use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert these RAW to DNG format, which can be imported into LR.

  • Pouvez Lightroom 5.7 read raw ARW files generated by Sony A7Rii?

Pouvez Lightroom 5.7 read raw ARW files generated by Sony A7Rii?

    Hi Robertldoc,

Lightroom 6.1.1 is the minimum version required to use Sony A7R II (ILÇE 7RM2) camera raw files.

You can upgrade your version of Lightroom 6 Lightroom or Lightroom CC for the files to be recognized.

You can also download DNG converter to convert the DNG files, before using it in Lightroom.

For Windows: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1.1

For Mac: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1.1

    I hope this helps.

  • I bought the Sony A7Rii and found that LR5 did not support their raw files.  So I just bought LR6 and LR6 can't read SONY's RAW files.

LR6 should support for the A7Rii of Sony RAW files (.) ARW files).  Fix?

Have you updated to Lightroom 6.1.1 least? This is what is needed for your camera.

  • I just bought 6 of Lightroom. It does not recognize the RX10II sony raw files.

I just bought 6 of Lightroom. It does not recognize the RX10II sony raw files.  (RAW ARW file type).   I checked the web site of Adobe, it says version 6.1.1 LR. reads the ARW files.    6.1.1 seems to be only available in CC.  Is this correct?  My purchase was a waste of money?

    Advice please.

Lightroom 6.1.1 isn't Lightroom CC. Lightroom 6.1.1 is a stand-alone version and not required Lightroom CC. This is a free update to the version you have now. Download the last 6.3 maintenance of Lightroom Lightroom

  • Home sony a7rii with lightroom cc?

Tried to attach my sony a7rii to lightroom CC with no luck. Did everything but Carom is not recognized. Any advice?

You can use Sony remote control camera to attach to your computer and then implement the automatic import of Lightroom to import automatically in the folder in which the application place photos.

You can also use Capture One Pro.

  • Why lightroom is not compatible with sony a7rII for direct download via usb cable?

Pole lightroom not consent it be della macchina fotográfica Sony a7rII per utilizzare fruit scatto diretto?

    Don't bet on it, Alberto.

Lightroom has never supported cameras Sony to tie - they have only ever used Canon, Nikon and Leica cameras.

This is because these three companies provide - in essence - Lightroom needs ("SDK") software to operate attachment for their cameras: Sony now publishes an SDK, but I don't know if it contains the software 'hooks' Lightroom would use to attach Sonys. nor I have heard no suggestion that Adobe is going in that direction.

I don't know that they are not, of course - it's just that nothing has emerged to suggest that they seek even inside.
