Hello

In order to not bore you with the "technical gibberish:

The low-end and mid-range Mac mini will run fine on the graphic side, if not the best, because Mac is not considered for game machines.

Indeed, your best bet is to go for the mid-range Mac Mini for all other requirements, If you are ok to wait the usual queue of the application time load. If you want much faster load times, you should (if your budget allows) will in addition to the fusion drive option, because it will increase the overall longevity of your machine in terms of speed.

See you soon

  • Firefox 22.0 can run on Mac 10.5.8 (Leopard) since it has code i386?

Firefox 22.0 has 1386 code (such as x86_64), and the only difference in Info.plist is basically being instead of 10.5 10.6 as in Firefox 16.0.2 LSMinimumSystemVersion. So why can't Firefox 22.0 running Leopard (10.5.8) with simple changes to the Version numbers?

I have a Mac Mini Intel core duo under Leopard and a core 2 duo Intel Macbook Pro under Snow Leopard. I would like to run 22.0 Firefox on my Mac Mini, as I do on my Macbook Pro, but with the i386 code, that is built into Firefox 22.0. Currently I can only run Firefox on my Mac-Mini 16.0.2, also using the i386 code.

Is it possible for to upgrade you to a new operating system? 16 of Firefox is more than 3 years and has many security problems that have been fixed in newer versions.

If you are unable to upgrade to a new operating system, I'm not sure that it is really possible to do anything. Ordinarilly, I would recommend the engagement of web browsers, but Chrome requires snow leopard or later version as well and the version of safari that came with leopard will be obsolete at this point as well.
While you can try to change the LSMinimumSystemVersion info.plist file, it probably won't work, because the newer versions of firefox use apple of new features into the operating system.

In addition, you must pass the version of firefox on your macbook to the latest version (38), who will work with snow leopard. You can download it from http://mozilla.org/firefox.

  • can I connect a mac mini to existing imac?

I have an iMac with a perfectly fine display 10.4, but I'm not able to upgrade more. I wonder if I can connect a mac mini and upgrade using my keyboard and screen of the iMac.

    Hi readingteacher,.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I understand that you want to use your older iMac as a display of your Mac Mini. I am pleased to provide you with some information about this process.

This article has some good information on what is needed to turn your iMac in a view:

Use your iMac as a display with the target Display Mode

As you can see, it takes an iMac compatible with 10.6.1 or later. Since your iMac seems to be a G5 with 10.4.8, I'm afraid that it is not compatible with this feature.

I hope this helps clear of the things up. See you soon!

  • Format and install Snow Leopard on Mac Mini

    Hello

    • I have a Mac Mini
    • Using boot camp, I have a Win10 partition which is now, the entire hard drive.  Really.
    • I have the installation of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.3) DVD
    • I directly connect the optical drive and a wired keyboard to the system
    • Start by pressing the [CTRL] key.
    • Download the white screen with the Apple logo in the middle of it.
    • .. then nothing.  He's here.  After 10 minutes, I pull the plug and restart the Windows partition and return to the slaughter of these discussion forums for clues.

    Issues related to the:

    1. How do I FORMAT and INSTALL Snow Leopard on the Mac Mini or m, I was too impatient after the [Ctrl] restart using the OS X DVD?
    2. Is there an external utility that I should get to format the drive?
    3. I can do this in steps - can I install OS X on an external HD and then use it for the crater / rebuild the primary drive?

    Input greatly appreciated!

    Rade

usually it is booting by pressing the C key to start from the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

or start by pressing the Option key to get a list of the bootable devices that you can choose from.

See <Startup for Mac - Apple Support combinations>

NOTE: This does not imply that you run your Mac mini Snow Leopard.  I guess that your wording she used to run Snow Leopard, and that your Mac mini still has a DVD/CD player are good signs.

How can I check my Mac mini for software spyware and other forms of virus? Recently, I received an electronic invoice which seems to come from Apple on a purchase that I did not. Receive a fraudulent e-mail for a purchase confirmation, you did not is a very common scam. Remember that you are not misled by providing personal information solicited by this e-mail.

Unfortunately, I answered by clicking on a link that asked me to cancel or manage this purchase that led me to a site that didn't look like an official Apple site. I am afraid that simply by doing so, I welcomed the spyware on my Mac mini hard drive.

No harm will come of the fact that you wrote. Fraudulent Web sites that are made to appear as legitimate those who are specially designed to convince you to reveal personal information. If you don't have that, no further action is necessary or justified. Do not install anything, no matter the source or the apparent popularity, in response to one such scam. To do this would be the first step in a path well worn to the misery.

On the other hand, if you were tricked into providing personal information (like your Apple ID and password) you will need to change your password on Apple ID. Please write back for instructions.

  • Mid 2011 Mac Mini running slow/a lot of balloons of beach/HDD to research and writing

I have a Mid 2011 Mac Mini, which runs slower than a snail's pace.  I frequently get beach balls as I type this message.  Startup time is very long, and the hard drive is often written / search/access for several minutes at random throughout the day.

This seemed to start after I have updated to El Capitan 10.11.6.  I decided a few weeks to reinstall OS X without doing a thorough cleaning.  It did not help the situation, so I then proceeded to install the latest beta of Mac OS 10.12 to see if that helped.  Nope.  I don't think I have a bad hard drive, either.

I have just run an EtreCheck and copied below.  Any ideas?  I don't want to run my computer at the Apple store.  Thank you!

I went on the hard drive of a few years for one SSD OEM and the fan runs all the time.  In my view, there is a connector on the card, which has no connection with it.

How many connection should be here soon out of the drive to connect to the map?

    How can I fix?

The original HD had a sensor taped to the road with adhesive tape double faces. You had to move the sensor to the new drive. Without the detector, the fan runs at full speed.

  • I changed my apple on my macbook pro, now I can't connect my mini mac ID. Any ideas anyone?

    Hi people,

seems that I myself lost in the ICloud/Apple ID implemented the system here. I changed my Apple on my Macbook Pro (mid-2014 running El Capitan 10.11.5) ID and now can't log in to my Mac mini. The new password set up on the Macbook Pro is not recognized on the Mini and I can't seem to login screen to study. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the old password on the Mini?

I've never used an iCloud password to connect to my Mac as he seemed always destined to fail. It seems also Apple removed this possibility, but this does not affect those who made possible it. If you manage to get back in and somehow change the password, you cannot use the password to iCloud.

I don't know if this will help, but you can reset the password to a different admin login, if you have a.

    Otherwise, start in Recovery.

From the Utilities menu, choose Terminal.

Type the following command and press return

    ResetPassword

A utility opens when you select the hard disk and a user account, and then reset the password.

Quit the utility, and then restart when finished.

This will not change your Keychain password. You should try the old password or reset the keychain, thus losing all of your passwords.

I don't know how an iCloud password affects the connection ring, however.
