  Nothing I've tried has worked. However, I have finally managed to make it work has that.  I disconnected the battery for the bios for a bit. After that, I could get in the bios setup. Still would not start from a good bootable USB then I activated the Legacy and set the boot order to boot from an external USB Cdrom. Reinstalled windows 8 and all is good now thanks for all the comments!

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

  Once done, press and hold the SHIFT key when you click shutdown , completely power down the laptop,

  When the laptop is turned off, press and hold the button for 10 seconds.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  I had problems with my upgrade for Windows 10 of 8.1 and the fix was to re - install Windows from a boot disk. Now that I did, the re - install appears to have removed all my for Beats Audio and a few other drivers (HP drivers for my biometric scanner, etc.). I'm not entirely sure where to go to download these drivers, or if they work with Windows 10.

  My computer will play sound on the speakers by the pad, but the Beats loudspeakers above the keyboard do not play good at all.

  Try this audio driver for a different model.  Maybe the dm4t-1000 s came not with the Beats Audio.

  A few months ago, I tried to fix a few audio problems I mentioned in another thread, and I uninstalled my Audio Realtek driver. I realize now that might have this audio driver help me with something else, and I tried to get it back. I went to the Web Realteks site and installed the HD Audio driver for my OS, and he went through the installation process and restarted my computer. However, the driver does not appear in my device manager (I also checked the hidden drivers). I have the files for it in my program (x 86) and my C:/drivers/Win/Audio file, but is not in my device manager. In ADDITION, the Realtek HD Audio Manager (what I really want to go back) is not found.   I think I tried all possible combinations of actions. Beats Audio Control Panel works without noise and noise without BACP. But never together.

  Hey guys! Tried once more to remove the driver and install it with the Recovery Manager. Don't know how, but this time it worked.

  In fact I've disappointed with HP updates, won't be tester for you. I'm tired of these bugs after updates (utility Cool sense, Beats Audio etc.).

  Turn off automatic updates on my PC, seems I don't need your "improvements".

  Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

  When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  Then, download relevant IDT Audio Setup on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 7.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

I checked the HDMI cable and it works very well with the other laptop.

  Device Manager is needle 2 device:

  High definition audio device (yellow own showing)

  IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

  When I open the properties of the audio device high definition, that is to show:

  This device cannot start (code 10)

  {Operation failed}
  The requested operation failed.

  If anyone knows how to solve the problem, please help me

  Audio driver IDT (portable speakers) seems to work very well.

  The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver that controls the HDMI audio.

  My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.
