  Just thought it should be mentioned that the lost product key of installed software (legitimately) on upgrades of machines pre windows can be retrieved from the file created 'windows.old' on the C: drive, using key finder software. It saved me forking out good money for buying again the likes of office etc because I had lost the key of product from the purchase.

  Notice of the Microsoft support Web site and my software (software4students.co.uk) retailer was to give up and re-buy.

• Recover files of program after reinstallation of Windows 7

  I had a technician MS reinstall W7 after that my Windows Update has stopped working.  I told her that I did not have a backup and he informed me that he did.  I'm still all my files located in "My Documents", but no program file.  I saw a Windows.old folder while it was updating, but I ain't.

  I tried to reach MS to confirm things that is, if program files have been truly saved or are they gone, etc., but no chance to reach.  I lost a chat session last night after waiting for two hours about in the Chat (QC) I'm on the cat once again this morning and after finally getting my turn, the tech said that my session had grown to level 2 and that he might ask someone to call me back.  2 hours later, someone called back and after reviewing my previous case information and confirm my identity (telephone number and e-mail address), he informed me that he was level 1 and I need to talk to someone at level 2.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being put on hold, the appeal has been abandoned and no one called back.  I'm home in Chat tonight, and after 3 hours and 199 people in front of me, the system to a standstill when I got to number 1 for an hour and then I got an error.  Now, I have another request for a callback, which will not happen until Thursday.  It's Saturday night.  I know I am fan but I just need to know what my options are.  I don't have a disk for 2 programs that I need, which are to mix, so I'll probably have to buy them back.

  I am very frustrated.  The first tech should have asked/warned/informed me that my program files would be deleted or removed.  Why this would not be saved when all my data was?

  If you install a Dell supplied CD/DVD restore on Dell computer that it shipped with it should never ask the COA/key... The only time where I came across a plant from a Dell CD/DVD requiring a COA/key is because it has been installed on the non-Dell hardware. He has scoped during the installation of the system on which it was delivered with.

  I don't think that Dell will sell you a new set with installation of COST but can Microsoft. Not sure about the cost.

  The amd HD driver is bound to the audio via a hdmi connection - idt audio driver that I linked to in my previous post is for your laptops internal speakers and should also provide the heartbeat GUI.

  Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  The new provision, if you see now a symbol of beats, open it and verify that it is enabled.

  I really need a support here. Im a kind a noob about PCs ;)

  I reinstalled Windows 7 on my Satellite L755D-13V (64-bit). After that, I have some problems with some drivers.

  (1) first of all SM Bus controller driver-free and I cannt find it on internet. I tried the "Hardware Setup" from toshiba support page. Had no results.

  (2) the VGA Graphics standard is listed twice, a gives a yellow "!" He says: "could not start (Code 10)". The drivers are up to date.

  (3) the wifi does not work. All the drivers are up to date but I cannt find a netzwork.

  Is 2) and 3) due to 1)?

• Low noise on my Sony Vaio after reinstallation of windows 8

  I had to reinstall Windows 8 on my Sony Vaio SVE1512E6EW, because the one preinstalled started veeeery slow work and I had problems with anything on it, and now that I've reinstalled (as well), the sound is much lower than before. I've tried everything (configure > test, improvements > disable all sound effects, levels > 100) and I have no idea what else to do.   I have a laptop Dell N110r I had to reinstall Windows 7 due to a virus on my hard drive. After doing so my windows experience score reduced from 5.8 to 3.4 the base being the CPU score. I visited the website of elbow and conducted an analysis of system and updated all the drivers. I also clicked on each driver in Device Manager and clicked on put to update driver. My graphics were also reduced dramatically. Is there something else I can do. Pease do not post put me a link that offers a hardware upgrade, because this is exactly the same material into the machine as before the o/s has been reinstalled and score 5.8 gave an hour before reinstalling. The system continues to try to install Interface human chipsets when it has already been downloaded from the Dell website, but has not been opened to install the chipset drivers after that were unzipped.
