4850 HP Scanjet Windows 7 drivers not yet available.

I have a new HP e9260f with an old, but perfectly ok Scanjet 4850.  The Image Zone 5.3 software will not load under Windows.  4850 driver does not work although the windows base driver seems to be ok.  Is there an upgrade for the software Image area and a specifice Windows 7 for the 4850 driver?

Update: says online HP Support is working on this issue and pilots will be available "soon."  I'm a little surprised that there is a long time.  I do not have a legacy scanner and W7 is available, at least in beta, for more than a year.  I hope that the automatic notification HP system work.

Please click on the link above and save it to the desktop.
2. once it is saved on the desktop, please right-click on the Setup_full_4800.exe file, and then click Properties.

5. click on apply and then OK.
6. install the Setup_full_4800.exe file on your computer works with the Windows 7 operating system.

  • I have Win XP and my system restore doesn't give me an option to reset to an earlier date. This option is not yet available in my file system
