  You need not install older versions in order to get the last update enabled.  During the CS4 activation process, you can specify the eligible previous version (choose the oldest among a list, then enter its serial number).  Choose any one you had just before CS4.

  You can save projects PS touch to PSD format (which is the file format of Photoshop). You must then send your project from PS contact by e-mail OR through creative cloud. You then get the PSD file and (of course) open it in Photoshop on the desktop.

  In order to dual boot both systems must know and be able to read the same boot loader.  WIn 98 is unable to understand.

  You will be able to (if your hardware supports it) to run as a virtual machine from XP to win 7 and that may be able to run win 98 software.

  This could be attributed to several factors such as conflicts between device drivers, applications, settings of operating system, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files.

  Basic troubleshooting
  
  1. make sure that the computer meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop.
  2. install all Windows updates. .
  3 re-create the Photoshop preferences file.

  Re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

  To re-create the Photoshop preferences files:

  1. quit Photoshop.
  2. rename the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp directory Users\ [username] Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old.
  3 launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.
  If the problem persists, the Photoshop preferences files aren't the cause. To restore custom settings, quit Photoshop, and then delete the new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file and restore the original name of the previous Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.

• CS install upgrade cannot find old photoshop - need release key

  Well, I guess I can't call support more.  I had to do a reinstall of windows and now I need to reinstall my Creative Suite Standard.  It is an upgrade version and works outside an old copy of Photoshop that I had.  In the past, a few years ago, when I created this I had problems with the upgrade does not recognize the old Photoshop.  I ended up calling support and my licenses have been checked and the old Photoshop has met the obligation to install the upgrade.  The person on the phone had me do some special down a key and click and enter a "Unlocking key".  I think it's different than an unlock code.  They gave me one last time that does not work.  Yet once, I don't seem to be able to qualify again.  Anyone have any ideas?

  Please open the folder of the Application.

  Then open the Photoshop CS4 folder and right-click (Ctrl + click) on Photoshop CS4.app and select to display the contents of the package.
