  You can have different content. I suggest that you give each iPad a different name, just to make it easier to follow. On the ipad in the settings, itunes and app store, you can explore the automatic download settings, decide what you do and don't want a device. For example, if you have apps set to download automatically, if you buy a game on one, it will download on the other. may or may not be what you want.

  When you configure the new ipad, choose "set up as new" and then choose what you want on it. Or if you have some applications that you want to remain the same on both devices... for example a game you do not want to lose the progress you might save the old iPad, then configure a new backup of the old, then delete the apps you want.

  When I went to an ipad iPod I restored my new iPad from my iPod backup, then adapted to each one, and I'm able to maintain different content on each device.

It's pretty convenient, but it's a very weird thing: the remote control sends signals randomly when nobody is in contact with it, in fact, nobody is there, everyone is metres from the remote control. Since Apple TV is connected to my TV which is capable of HDMI-CEC, it also turns on the TV. Sometimes without any model, when we sit in the corner opposite of the same room, or at random times of the day or even at night. Sometimes I go out in the middle of the night to check on our little girl and I see that the TV is on. Apple TV will switch to standby after a certain time, but since it does not send SIGNAL to the TV via CEC, the TV stays on. Sometimes I stop the movie I'm watching something and when I come back, film runs and minutes. This causes me a real headache, not to mention that it also adds the power bills, especially when we leave for a weekend and I come home that the TV is on...

  Did any of you ever heard, or it's a faulty remote with a contact problem around the buttons that need to be replaced?   I don't have to assume that someone else uses one of the old silver remotes close to Apple TV or if someone could play a joke on you with a distance more or the Apple remote on their phone app.

  There was a small number of reports related to the buttons on the remote apparently stick and sending several times the same command, but I don't think I've seen all the reports to work intermittently on his own.

  Yes, it works. This looks like some weird glitch. Using the new application ATV 4 remote control (black), or the older version, now called iTunes remotely? Try restarting the ATV using the settings > system > restart. Then try to pair it again.

  2. try to disconnect the cable and reconnect.

  3. try another HDMI cable.

  4. make sure that your TV supports 720 p (Apple TV 2 only)

  Hey guys, I was wondering if someone knows a way to backup saves the settings/configuration/game (I suspect saved game could land in the center of games but I have not yet tested this theory) on an ATV 4? I had a peek in iTunes and Apple Configuratior but it doesn't seem to be a way to achieve support Apple, but I understand with the previous versions of the Apple TV, it is not a lot of backup point because there was only limited on the device configuration data and everything else was listening but now that the new Apple TV has the ability to download 3rd party applications where a lot of apps/games have elements that need to backup to have a faculty to allow to save the elements would be very practical advice would be great, I don't mind if you provide a solution supported Apple or 3rd party or how complicated it is that I just want to have a backup with my new method Thanks ATV in advance for taking the time to help me I appreciate it

  I can't believe that it should be this hard. I am a subscriber of Apple's music is my iTunes stuff in the cloud and see Apple TV. Everything is good. Random play is ok.

  But when I want to play an album by an artist of some, that's where the trouble begins. I have the music so that if I wanted to play something of an artist who is towards the end of the list, I have to scroll through all along, that takes forever with this remote control (which I hate). I did find a work around. Do you have?

  At first, I couldn't find the name of the artists, that would help a lot of filtering. I couldn't find a way to access some letters to speed up the selection.

  Apple TV app on the iPhone is ridiculous. It is only a mirror of the Apple Remote hardware. There is no additional functionality for the collection of the artist or a song directly from there.

  Please don't suggest using a mac or ios device to listen to my music, it's inpractical in my case. Apple TV should justify its price to pay by giving all round independent musicplaying service.

  First I will say that in general I just ask siri play an album that she does.

  However there are times where I don't remember the names of all the albums, in such cases (let's go with the stones on this one), I dictate "Rolling Stones" in the search field, select it in the list that appears, and then switch the selection of Apple's music to my library, I have now www all my stones albums that I have in my library listed.
