Droid phone problem?

Droid has a green light that flashes on the top right indicating, message waiting. It has stopped working, how do I turn it back on?

Also keep in mind that Android 2.1 has changed the behavior of this indicator. It flashes only when the Droid is "dormant". Once you hit power, constantly flashing even if you have not sent any notification triggers flashing.

  • Droid Bionic problems...

OK, so I initially ordered my Bionic Sept. 22., Verizon, online and got on the 26nd (monday). This worked well for the first day, then hell began...

    • 27 (2nd day to have) I started to noticed that apps randomly I downloaded just disappeared. Then, when I tried to re - download it says: "not enough storage space" or something like that.
    • 28 (3rd day of have) I had my phone turns off at random (or unresponcive/black screen), and I could not turn it back on unless I pulled the battery. This has happened 4 times that day here.
    • 29 (4th day having) it happened again. And so I made myself. I called Verizon. They said they had never heard of such a thing happening with bionics. He said my I needed to get a DOA Exchange against a new free of charge since I was within 14 days. We have tried to do the reset, but the wouldnteven phone do the reset! He also said that I have 14 days from the day that I receive the replacement. I went to the store instead of do it by phone because I wanted to now.
    • The same day (29, today) I went to my local corporate verizon store and they made the Exchange. The girl was some stupid girl who knew almost absolutely nothing. I wanted to do the activation and myself, but it did, she insisted. She did not know when she went to return the box to get the phone so she got away at the end of the plate of the box. She also threw all packages except the box without even asking me. Then she did the activation, which took about... AN HOUR. While she told me it wasn't working and she was literally TEARING the back plate of the phone. Also, she stuck a pen in the phone to get the battery, when it shows not to stick things in there to open it, and now theres pen marks anywhere in the top of the stack. When I came back, I noticed that it has activated the phone... UNDER MY MOTHERS LINE. What a fool! She did a reset, after playing with it and try to move on my line for about half an hour, she decided to get another sim card (duh?), then an hour later it finally activated it. (during this time pulling up the rear as cover 10 times more) and finally, he did. When she handed me my new phone back... THANK GOD she left the sticker on the front... There were scratches, so fingerprints digital dirt and oil all over the tile. But I was so happy, it was done finally... until I noticed that she broke the rear hull, he took off the phone to one of the corners. She seemed upset that I said that the coverage was cut short for the guy next to her. He said theres no cutting it. but I told him it's not sopposed to be lifted out of the phone like that and my old didn't do. they took the back cover of the OLD phone I had returned and gave it to me. What a joke! And then she told me that 14 days is always from the date of purchase. NOT the date on which I got the replacement
    • I found myself being in the Verizon store for about 3 hours.
    • I think that im going to send Verizon this and say I want a replacement nine just to have this done for me, more why should I keep a phone worker Verizon treated like shit. Next time IM activate my phone myself!
    • But back to the main reason, I went on these forums, someone else has these issues? I am now on my 2nd Bionic, I feel really like having to get a 3rd, or even go phones, DC in addition to all these terrible questions, the phone is great, and my neighborhood dosnt even even 4 g.

If someone else has any problems Im having? or am I just a bad batch?

    Thank you

    Vinny

When it comes to the "associates" Verizon store just don't return the sim card. Tell them to give you the phone or to cancel the sale. Conqsoft said, do not put apps on the SD card, this phone has plenty of internal storage. The question of sleep is probably repairable via software update. Unless she's constantly send back for this.

It's sad that this store rep mauled your new phone with a pen before ink even, you have to use it. I would return because of marks on/in the battery compartment. Do not hesitate to say "If you rip back cover wide as it again once keep you the phone, here let me show you how to remove it and put it back on.

When I bought my Bionic, I already had a Thunderbolt LTE phone. The representative of the Bank said I should dial * 228 if I wanted to spend the Bionic and Thunderbolt. I explained that no, I should be able to change the sim card. To her credit, she did say, '' We will pass the sims between phones and let me call you to see that it works, I want to see me. " At least she was quite interested in learning and redeemed herself. She's not selfless just poorly trained.

  • HP LJ 1563 phone problem

1536 HP all-in-One, using a printer connected via a USB, cabling running Win 7 and a fax machine.

I have run the Fax test report and past all active phone line, telephone line current of the correct port test, and tone detected.

The problem - telephone wire coming out of the wall in the 1536 and from 1536 to my phone. By replacing and playing with the son, I determine that the 1536 is not passing any signal through it, incoming or outgoing phone. I can't get a dial tone on the land line. If I don't ignore the 1536, with the phone, no problem.

Well, I don't know what I did or what happened, but it is now fixed.

I download and installed the new firmware (2014) and ran a utility (I don't think that that has nothing), but the problem is now solved.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 blackBerry smart phones problems

Sorry guys, but I couldn't find the answers I can.

In any case, RIM published an update on the so-called lock button on the top phones? I noticed this isn't only this model which is affected. I have heaps of times 'Pocket call' people, texts sent to people and remove apps because the button is so sensative that phone unlocked.

Also having problems with the appworld keep crashing, this happens every time others.

Last thing is that I noticed an update for the 9800, but does it include British customers. I checked the phone and he said: I'm updating.

    Thanks in advance

Do not touch the button is all you need to do to stop unwanted calls and texts.  Unfortunately, it is the easiest thing so much the thing more difficult to do, all at once.

If accidental pressure on the button there's a problem, I suggest putting your phone in a Holster.  In doing so, the magnets in the case will be aligned with the inner workings of the phone and will stop at your screen, essentially to put your phone to sleep.  (Note that this is applicable only if the case is specially designed for your phone model, i.e. do not try to use a "BOLD" case on a torch.)  It is impossible to access the phone while it is in the case, thus making the accidental presses of the lock button a thing of the past.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Transfer calls to SIP phones problem

    Hello.

When a user with a Cisco 3905 tries to transfer a call to another IP phone, the call successfully diversion; However, the new beneficiary do not hear anything. If he speaks, the original caller can listen to it, but the recipient cannot.

Is there anything us missing in our setup in the router of the CMF? All I could do to fix this?

I attach the run-config and a message from ccsip debugging I extracted by a call that had been transferred.

Whatever that either would be appreciated. Thank you!.

Just to give more information on why this solves the problem, some devices/carriers do not manage the call for sendonly to switching sendrcv after a hold event and continue to stay in rcvonly.  This workaround lets the other side think that the call is in sendrcv mode all the time.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Blackberry 8220 Flip phone - problems with downloads

I ran into two problems with the downloads, and I wonder if anyone has the same problems?

#1-I downloaded 'facebook' on my handheld and once the download is finished, my phone was cut off and when she came back on once again, facebook has not acknowledged my email/password.  I registered using my blackberry email and password, and that's what I used to try to connect to facebook.  Finally, I deleted my downloads facebook, because I didn't really know what to do... so I thought I would try here.

#2-after you remove Facebook, I thought I want to download Yahoo! Messenger, as I am familiar with that.  The only thing is, after the download, I could not find the icon to get into Yahoo! Messenger anywhere.  It wasn't in my downloads folder, nor could I find it anywhere else?  I found added to my 'normal' profile on the phone, he was at a loss to know where to find the shortcut?

I have not read all the forums (my bad - I'm a newbie, but I watch!), and it seems that no one had discussed these (yet) download problems.  My apologies if they were considered above - is there a solution for the latter?

  • Need serious help. New 8831 phones problems.

Thank you in advance for helping with this.

I pulled out recently of new 8831 conference phones to replace my old phones 7937 spider, unfortunately phones know terrible incoming audio. Phones are on a branch site, connected via MPLS and registered at 8.6 CUCM to Headquarters. We have a total of 900 7940 phones that have no problems in any of the different location and band bandwidth/congestion is not a problem. The audio input signal poor that happens to every call. Audio output is fine. 8831 phones are having the same issues at several sites of the branch, but seems more predominant in some. The question has been described as 'audio static, choppy, distorted, with a few breaks.

I tested with G.729 and G.711 without some luck, after using the web interface to enter stats here, this is what they look like:

As you can see that the MOS is pretty bad, jitter and ignored packets seem to be bad too. Intrasite tests have resulted in better looking for numbers. Initially, I immediately thought "QoS" but all other phones are fine and the problem is with audio INCOMING do not outgoing.

All comments on this are appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

As you can see receiver lost packets number is very high, which will cause audio choppy. Looks like you face below default

    https://Tools.Cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuq03746

Also can ensure you codec used is g729r8 not g729br8. g729br8 has integrated VAD have so it will drop some packets. Also disable VAD in any voip dial peer by using the command "no vad.

    Kind regards

  • Not the Droid phone transmit as well as receive WiFi?

I buy a new IPAD device and do not use the ATT 3G connection. I was told on the Apple store if my phone could transmit Wifi I could use the network through my phone connection to access the net with my IPAD. does anyone know if the Droid is also capable of wireless transmission as well as the EC approval.

    Thank you

It * can * be done. (google tethering to the droid) But as my Droid is capable of doing almost anything my laptop (or an iPad) can do, it is not necessary. Verizon is greedy with it and offer plans tie with data caps that are stupidly low.
