  It's pretty normal. All your images are always on your old computer and you transfer those to your new computer. Just transfer them as well as your catalog file and opens in Lightroom on the new computer. For presets, you need to transfer files, preferences and presets that are hidden in folders hidden on the Mac. Therefore, with the Mac, when I update the machines, I'm usually just restore from a backup on the new computer (very easy with Time Machine backups) or directly from the old machine (a little harder). This will give all files and settings and the software installed on the old machine immediately and you can just continue. Is not something that Adobe can really help you with either said by the way, but you might have someone from the Apple Store help you with that, if you are not comfortable with moving files to a new computer.

  Cc of Lightroom is simply a version update of Lightroom 5. CC requires a monthly subscription that pay you apparently. You did not use the software you pay for if you use 5 Lightroom on the old machine.

  The problem is that when I try to put photos in subfolders (depending on date) Lightroom some if put in the incorrect date - 10 hours AHEAD of the actual time that the photos were taken (according to the data from the camera).

  You use a USB cable to connect to your camera?  Try to take the memory card from the camera, put it into your computer's card reader and import from there.  It solves the problem for most people.

  I tried to move photos into their correct date subfolder, but then of course Lightroom cannot find more!

  Move photos within LR, instead of in the Mac Finder / Windows File Explorer.

  The Photomerge option is available in 6 of Lightroom, and not in Lightroom 5.

  You can check 6 Lightroom displays a blank blue screen with an X through it in the module development for all the photos of my reference.

  PDF, GIF and BMP are not the types of files supported for Lightroom.

  Lightroom stopped adding date folders to import pictures.  The photos appear and I can put them in collections.  I checked the integrity of the catalog, and no problem.  Can anyone help? I use a Mac.

  If you must move the photos or folders that have already been imported, move them into the Lightroom folder Panel. I wouldn't bother, I would leave them right where they are, but it's me, I use keywords and metadata to find my photos and I don't really like what they are in folders.

  For imports, again, you must select the name of folder/location of appropriate folder in the Lightroom Import dialog box. There are many tutorials on this topic.

  Have you tried another HARD drive recovery option?

  I think that if the system repair isn't possible, your next step should be the HARD drive recovery.
  In case the recovery of HARD drive would not work too, then you should use the recovery disc.

  I regularly backup my catalog on an external drive, and then I sync all folders with images on the same drive. I did since starting with Lightroom for a long time, without any problems. Last night, I backed up catalog (LR 3.4), and subsequently, I implemented a synchronization. It would take 50 + destruction and a smaller number of additions, the latter especially the XMP files. I got these, but the sync software also said that he had to be updated about 2000 additional files. Windows confirmed that the timestamp of the files has been changed. It's all jpg files or XMP files, raw files not. I did not do anything with any of these 2000 additional files. Some that I had not touched it since December 2008! Could LR have changed the timestamp on these files, or did some other changes, while the update of the catalogue for this is backup? I've never experienced anything like this before, and now I am uncertain which version of 2000 files to keep.

  When you have copied the files to the new drive they have become the new files created on this date.

  I have the same thing, not worked in a decade, with a creation date of 2009 when I had the last computer files.

  I selected 'clear indicators when it is called' in my properties VI, execution. Yet, whenever I call the VI, the table of data is growing. My main VI implements my USE, and then call the sub - VI, which sets up an instrument measurements, then reads the results and transmits data. I then change the UUT to the next State and repeat the same task sub - VI to get again the same measures. The main VI changes the mode of WEAR it three times, so call the sub - VI three times. The last call of the Subvi back all three sets of data together, which is OK. My problem is, when the main VI ends and I run another USE, I get the new set of data as well as the complete list of data from the previous run. I found a similar problem answered here on the forum who suggested I should 'clear indicators when it is called', and so I did. It still has not fixed my problem. Any idea?

  If cable "null", you hear a serial RS-232 cable, you probably chose the slowest method of data transfer possible.  A serial cable tops out at raw data of 115 Kbps (115 000 bits per second) rate the most current Ethernet 100 Mbit/s connection - is about 1000 times faster.

  I don't know why some s/w you use takes 30 minutes to "collect" information before starting the transfer, but if you have about 12 GB of data (and don't have / want an Ethernet connection), why not just get a big enough USB.  You can get a 8 GB USB key for less than $15 and a 16 GB for about $20.  If you have USB 2.0 (which is likely, unless your old computer is older than 10 years), the maximum raw data rate is 480 Mbps with rates effective data around 20-30 MB/s for the memory sticks.

  At 20 MB/s, 12 GB should be transferred in about 600 seconds or 10 minutes.
