  To skip the activation of sim card, you can use iTunes if you have a CDMA iPhone. However, if you have a GSM model you will need to insert a sim card to activate your iPhone (it can even be used/inactive).   That's a lot of key information that you forgot on an iPhone that you are using.

  Connection to any computer iCloud.com, locate the phone, then delete it. Once this is done, you will need to configure the phone as a new device, you cannot restore backup, as restriction code is included in the backup of the iPhone.

  Without the password for the Apple ID to which it is locked, there is no way for you to remove it.

  If you have proof of original purchase to Apple or an authorized reseller (e.g., your operator), you should be able to pick up the phone to Apple and ask them to reset it.

When I tried to enter the password, he said it was wrong.  I tried the passwords I most often use / used and none of them work. Is there a way to recover the password?   Good to hear your son is beyond the need for restrictions on his iPhone.  It looks like you have found the answer to your question about the code of Restrictions, however.

  On the restrictions (parental control) on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

  If you lose or forget your password restriction, you must erase your device and then put it up as a new device to remove the restriction password. Restore the device by using a backup does not delete the access code.

  I would certainly exhausted all possible combinations of password first.
