Components of Smartphones Manage blackBerry OS6

Reading a review of the 9900 coming with OS7 it seems that this upcoming phone will allow users to decide what "flaps" are visible. I.e. Frequent & downloads can be disabled for example.

Personally I would just see the 'All' on my 9780 - does anyone know of an app' or tweak that would allow this?

9900 review

Well and I just checked my 9650 with OS6 installed, it isn't here either. Sorry, man.

gmusic, Hello and welcome to the Support Forums of community BlackBerry.com.

No, there is no OSv.6 for the Curve 8520.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to Blackberry Manager devices to display the USB PINS

My Blackberry Bold 9000 is not recognized by my office blackberry Device Manager.  After hours of playing around to try to solve this problem, here is what information I can provide.

My desktop and laptop running Vista 64-bit.  I had no problem installing the Desktop Manager on my laptop and cable, updated processes, etc. all work fine.  In my view, this allows me to isolate the desktop and not the device or the cable. The Desktop Manager software is to date on both systems.

When I try to get the Blackberry device manager to recognize my camera on my desk, in the table options of connection under connection, that COM1 is displayed, Disable stateful shown.  USB-Blackberry 9000 (Paperback) appears on the laptop.  I've hunted around these tips and google for a solution to this problem, but I have not yet found one.  Under the Windows Device Manager, "Blackberry Smartphone" is listed under USB controllers when the unit is plugged, and the drivers are updated according to the instructions on these cards.

The functions of USB ports for the operation of the keyboard, mouse, and external storage.  I tried to connect to all six USB ports in the back and two on the front of my office, without result.  When the device is connected to my desktop computer, Windows recognises the Smartphone and SD card separately as mass storage devices - with the phone powered on or off mass storage device option.

I have a feeling that this would be resolved if I could get the Blackberry device manager to display a USB instead of COM1 port.  Someone at - it solutions?

Hey this is my solution... it worked perfectly for me, and oddly enough, this is a difficulty for VMWare (also the difficulty to detect USB devices)

Try to right click on one of the USB hubs (in Device Manager) and looking at the details of the driver. If usbfilter.sys is in the list then open your registry editor and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class {36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and remove the UpperFilter, pair of usbfilter.

I restarted after making this change, and it works fine now.  Its the first time in the month that I could plug my Curve 8900 using my USB on my PC 64-bit of Windows Vista (now Windows 7).

KUDO to the population of VMWare for this solution.  Thank God, she also fixed for my BB Desktop Manager! WOOT WOOT!

  • Memory of blackBerry Smartphones management

    Hi guys,.

I'm new to blackberry and recently got a "BOLD".

In the menu options, I can see the following,.

    Support media card menu: WE

    Mass storage mode support: WE

Auto Enable mass storage mode Yes

Free application memory space: 23 MB

    852 MB free memory

3.8 GB of space free media card memory

I still see the icon count down and check my space memory application, it comes down to 0 . I deleted all applications now, in addition to documents to go!

My question is, is it possible to set the camera to use the card media for application?

Primarily being a nokia user, I am really struggling to understand the concept of memory management Blackberry.

    Thanks in advance.

    Wow, yes it's good.

Simply by pulling the battery and restart 2 x a week of often 2 to 5MB each time.

What strategies companies follow when choosing a Smartphone in BlackBerry JDE?

I guess, since you are in a Java forum, that you plan to Java development.  There are a number of other options.  But looking at Java:

You are concenred about what level of JDE?  Look here:

    http://com-BlackBerry-us-5p.WWWA.com/developers/choosingtargetos.jsp

Or choice JDE or Eclipse?  If so choose Eclipse.

  • Update of Smartphones from blackBerry Curve 9360 - lost all ringtones

    Hi all

yesterday I updated my BB Curve 9360 to software version 7.1 Paket 2814.

Unfortunately I lost all my standard ringtones and I have found no solution to get back them. The only way is to buy new.

Does any body know a fix for this?

    Thanks in advance

    Concerning

    Ingo

If you like everything about the new operating system but miss ringtones of your previous operating system, I suggest doing a search for "download ringtones BlackBerry OS6" (or whatever OS you had). I know that CrackBerry has always a selection of ringtones to download along with instructions to do so.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Smartphones BBid blackBerry problem

My 9320 does not recognize my BBID. I tried the password reset, what does not work. I'm now up to 9 attempts, and the next attempt will lock me up. Any ideas what I can do. I can't seem to find what to do on the blackberry site, all the tips keep telling me to change my password working isn' there. I get the error message "enter the username associated with this smart phone. How can I find out what my correct username with my phone?

If that's the case, then this account ID to BB is probably lost for good... all activities must have access to the email address and the email address is the same as the user name, if there is a mistake, then there is no way to receive emails of validation required in order to continue to use this BB ID.

    cmarks96 wrote:

Yes... that's indeed what you need TO do in order to change the real ID of BB that is associated with the BB:

If you get the error 80003, there are three corrections suggested to the user:

    1. follow these instructions:
First delete AppWorld on your Blackberry OS 5 device, (Options > advanced > Applications) or the OS 6/7 devices (Options > device > Applications)
Then copy the entire address below and paste it into your BlackBerry browser or click on it from this page of your BlackBerry forum.

    or:

    For OS6 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2197
    For OS5 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2198

    2. make sure that you connect to AppWorld on a WiFi connection. It has worked for some.

    3. on Os5 BlackBerrys, go to Options, Advanced Options, TCP/IP. Select the AFN which is the first area. Under this
Next type Internet APN. Save it and it will work.
On the BlackBerry OS6 and 7, go to Options > device, down advanced system settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to the AFN of type 'Internet '. Your BlackBerry ID will be downloaded. It will ask you to reboot your device, do, and if you then it in your App World > MyWorld, it invites you to a blue screen, where you need to connect.

    Good luck.

  • I can't update the Smartphones from blackBerry bold 9700 to OS6

    I'm trying to update my bold 9700 OS6, but I can't.

If you really want to update your device, I would say that do you a 'new' OS installation according to the following instructions:

    1. Use Desktop Manager to backup your device.
    2. Close the Desktop Manager and disconnect your device.
    3. Download an application on your computer called BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife). You use it to wipe the operating system of your device. You can get it here: www.bbsak.org
    4. Download the latest OS for your device, you can get here. https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=9461CCE28EBE3E76FB4B931C35A169B0.------
    5. Connect your device to your PC and start BBSAK. It will ask you a password. If you don't have a game for your device, simply click OK.
    6. Choose the option to wipe device. Once completed, you will be left with a blank screen and an app 507 error, which means that the wipe has been a success.
    7. Unplug your unit.
    8. On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file in the lower part called vendor.xml.
    9. Connect your device.
    10. In this same folder as shown above, there is an executable file called Loader (has a small telephone next to him). Double click on that and it will start loading your OS.

You have to reinstall and 3rd party applications you have, keeping in mind that if you're under OS 5 now, some of your applications may not be not compatible with OS 6, in which case you will also need to update those which in addition to the resettlement.

Please post back and let us know how it goes!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Bold 9700 not recognized by Office Manager

    I'm with T-mobile with a Blackberry 9700 v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.0.91)

I have trouble to synchronize my device on my computer.

I am running Vista 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 1525.

I downloaded Desktop Manager 5.0.1 B49 MultiLanguage - without Media Manager successfully and downloaded the latest version (I have seen elsewhere that this version is suggested for the bold 9700).

My computer recognizes the device, but found new hardware prompt as a Composite of RIM device, but in the Office Manager that he says that there is no device not connected.

I also turned on the media card support campaign mode and mass.

I can't find the driver appropriate through the Device Manager either.

I did a couple pulled battery and re-attempts to connect different usb ports. \

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager "disconnected" and I cannot get rid of the error message

I just bought a Blackberry Curve 8530, running v5 software, my computer is Windows 7. I installed the 501_b073_multilanguage software that I downloaded from the site Web of Blackberry. When I run the Desktop Manager I get this message: "Before you start, check that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer." Troubleshooting functions I've seen on this forum: many tips (ones I've tried is below). One in particular, that I can't do is "Office Manager shows"off". ".
-Make sure that the user has entered in the Desktop Manager and select options > connection settings > detect. »

... because I can't get rid of the error message dialoge box, and I can't click on the menu options in the BB Desktop Manager.

    I tried the following:

    • uninstalled and reinstalled twice - 2nd uninstall was a "hard" uninstall where I deleted the registry files by hand
    • installs the cable to the USB port at the back (after having tried both ports at the front) of the computer
    • rebooted the computer several times
    • hard starts the phone by removing the battery
    • plugged in, removed and replugged in the phone.

    Also:

    • The phone is properly install when I plug it in, but the software still does not seem to see it.
    • In Device Manager, the BlackBerry appears under portable devices. Double clicking on it gives me the message "this device is working properly." of reassurring.
    • The Com1 port is working properly, according to Device Manager.
    • A double-click on the icon of the Device Manager to get the properties indicates that the Com1 port is "disconnected" - when I try to set it up, it appears just back to the disconnected state.

If someone has an idea or something that I have not tried, I'd be happy of course!

    Thank you!

    K

Good, people, after a phone call from 3 1/2 hour with a (very patient) phone support person to Blackberry, here's what I learned.

You can check your drivers USB in this way:

    1. Plug your phone into your USB key. Assuming that your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
    2. Go into the Device Manager on your computer (Panel)
    3. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers at the bottom of the list item
    4. Right-click on the BlackBerry smartphone, and then select Properties
    5. Click on the driver tab
    6. Click the driver Details button
    7. You should see a driver. I saw two. The one like the BlackBerry is the RimUsb one.

So here's what NOT to do: we threw any driver who has been the "extra". This actually made using my mouse and keyboard cannot, because they are USB and my poor husband has sent in the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and mouse) with the old fashioned type of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't, don't.

Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you - it changes the registry to a backup system with this backup and restore if you are nervous about this kind of thing):

    1. On the start menu, choose run and type regedit into the registry editor.
    2. Follow this path to the file: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, computer, class
    3. Click: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
    4. If there is an article called law "UpperFilters", delete it. (See photos)

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.7 error Code 0 x 80040057

During the synchronization between the version of Desktop Manager 4.7 and my curve (my first old BB for 1 week and love it) I get the error message 0 x 80040057.  This happens after trying to synchronize my contacts.  I tried to find a list of error codes on the original CD, as well as online, but I just blank.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  My other questions were answered until looking at just the past assignments.

Google applications are today quite powerful.
You can use Google Mail and Google Calendar and synchronize e-mail, contacts, and events of the calendar with your BlackBerry smartphone.

Some people prefer a PIM (personal information manager) desktop.

You can use Desktop Manager to backup the contents of your device.

  • Confused BlackBerry Smartphones with Blackberry Storm Desktop Manager

The Roxio program platform is really confusing me. I'm used to a Palm application and can't quite get the hang of this thing.

My biggest problem is that I can't find a way to use my computer to add contacts instead of on the phone. This program is an application where you can use the laptop to add information and new contacts and then synchronize with the phone?

I figured out how to add video (although its easier by using the mass media and simply drag / drop), add pictures and Itunes sync but contacts seem to be non-existent.

    As always, thanks in advance!

the Palm is 'Connector PC' + 'PIM' (personal information manager)
the RIM is just "PC connector.

In addition to the Desktop Manager, you must use a PIM on your desktop. Best solutions are Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes. Both allow you to edit your contacts on your PC and then synchronize with your BlackBerry smartphone.

or you can use GoogleMail contacts, with real-time wireless synchronization. This solution does not require a PC.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not recognize that the "BOLD" is connected

I loaded the Software Desktop including Desktop Manager v4.7.  When I connect my "BOLD" via the USB port of my PC, the PC recognizes the new hardware and identifies it as a Blackberry Smartphone.  But when I launch Desktop Manager, it does not recognize the "BOLD", and at the bottom left of the window shows "Connected Device (PIN): No."

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager Blackberry Smartphones does not properly

    Hello

I plugged my flashlight on the USB as usual and connected to the Office Manager, hoping to transfer music to Itunes. But for some reason it isn't letting me transfer any music on my phone.

It is said "If your BlackBerry smartphone uses a Bluetooth connection or is not connected to your computer, you need to connect with a USB cable for import and sychronisé media.» If your device is already connected, plug it in again to start a new connection. "Your device must be on mass storage mode and a memory card or additional built in storage for multimedia files.

I tried to unplug and reconnect, reset my laptop, uninstall and reinstall the Manager of office etc..

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

So, do you have active MassStorage?

    1. go to Options > Media Card
(some themes or BlackBerrys can call this ' settings > Media Card ")

    2. check the following parameters (if they are that way, then changes according to the following:)
    (a) media card Support: on
    (b) mass storage Mode Support: on
    (c) auto Enable mass storage: Yes

    3. save the settings and exit
