5 Udates of Windows cannot install KB2541763 KB2533623 KB2555917 KB32532531 KB2507938

Above the microsoft updates will not be installed. I keep getting "the installer has stopped working and was closed". The error code is always 8024000. This has happened since early June 2011.    Downloaded FixIt... no change.   I no longer have the automatic updates and even with manual updates on the problem continues.   In this case the computer stalls, the computer will not Shut Down.  Believe it or not, I have to pull the plug to get my computer to stop!

At the end of June, I joined Windows answers to see if the same problem of unable to install updates.  I received a response (by the way, thank you very much) and ordered MIcrosoft Download Center.  Finally, I had success with it.  Now, I'm trying to find the updates on the download center and guess what... I can't.

Question: is it possible to solve this problem of recirculation? When I get updates, how to decide which are necessary for me and those who didn't install, although I got them?  Make the assumption that what I get are specially for my Windows Vista and I should install all?

Have the SP 1 and 2 is installed

Thanks for your help.

  • Error: "Windows cannot install to the selected location. Error: 0 x 80300001. »

When I try to install Windows 7 on my Toshiba computer formatted I get this error message after trying to install the RAID driver during the installation process:

"Windows cannot install to the selected location. "Error: 0 x 80300001.

I'm unable to proceed with the installation. Can someone please?

    Hi Jon,

This error can occur during a clean Windows 7 install the operating system installation media is not in the drive. This happens usually when a user is necessary for the exchange of discs in order to install the necessary drivers on the system and the operating system disks were not placed in the drive before proceeding with the installation.

The error would not occur if the Setup program has been started using a USB key as stable media would not be switched.

The solution would be to change the driver CD or DVD of Windows 7 install DVD media when this happens, then we can continue with the installation of Windows 7. In this particular case, it is likely that the RAID driver disk has been left in the drive.

Note: This problem/error appeared less in Windows Vista since a message asking to specify the installation media usually as follows:

"Please insert the disc 1 installation of Windows.

    Hello

I suggest you rename the temporary folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution:

    1. click on start, run, type: cmd and press ENTER. Run the following command in the opened window.

    net stop WuAuServ

    2. click on start, run, type: %windir%, and then press ENTER.
    3. in the opened folder, rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
    4. click on start, run, type: cmd and press ENTER. Run the following command in the opened window.

    net start WuAuServ

Visit the Windows Update site to check this problem. If it works then it's a corrupted Windows Update file and we need to delete the folder in which it resides.

Hope this helps, good luck :)
  • Windows cannot install any partition.

I can't install Windows 7 on my computer. I already format all partitions. There are two partitions, but I can not install both. The message error is "Windows cannot be installed to this disk." So please tell me what is the problem? Thank you.

Delete both partitions that exist now. Then, install Windows 7 to the empty space. Installation/Setup program will create a structure of the disk for its use.

  • Vista Service Pack 1 - Windows cannot install updates.

My fathers computer is running Vista Service Pack 1 on Windows Vista Edition family.

He was unable to update for some time now, because of the Service Pack, it uses at present.  Any attempt to update returns the message "Windows cannot check updates".

I tried to solve this problem by running the tool upgrade of the system, then the standalone installer.  The Setup program for the next service pack returns the fatal error 8000ffff.  Any ideas?  Previously, I've read that antivirus could cause a problem.  I tried the installation of the service pack with the antivirus software completely removed again without success.

    I just located this - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Windows-Update-Error-8000FFFF - I should try that first?

Thank you for all your help.  None of the updates were drivers and nothing happened to interrupt the installation, so I'm stuck for what could have gone wrong.

In any case, it seemed the logical thing tore it and start over.  I managed to get my hands on Hirens Boot CD and using the facitily MiniXP on which I recorded files that desperately, they would not lose on a newly bought external drive.  Then I did a reinstall of Visa that is now fully updated to Service Pack 2.  I tried to tempt them in the purchase of Windows 7, but that's another story.

Needless to say that they are now set up to allow regular backups and system restore is running very well!

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Portege M400: Installtion Windows - cannot install the RAID driver

    Hello world
I installed my original form of the system DVD Toshiba (60 GB partition).
So, I bought the second system with my notebook (Windows XP Pro OEM PL) and I want to install it on my second partition. When installing WinXP installer asked me about RAID driver on drive A: (I USB floppy drive, so it's no problem)... next step - partitioning - no problem. But when Windows starts to copy files (after select and format partition), ask again on RAID driver disk A: - and that is the problem, because my floppy drive is not present (maybe disable it windows after formatting the partition, I don't know)...
    There is also no results:
-J' tried to install Windows on USB HDD, but there are blue screen after the first reboot,.
-J' have tried to compile the RAID driver in driver.cab, this does not (or I did wrong).
Someone has an idea how to install my second system? It is OEM, and I don't want to lose him.
.. Sorry for my poor English :)...

    Hello

After installing the driver RAID you should not make any partition or format the HARD drive.
If you do this, the RAID driver is deleted and you will get an error.

So do all the changes on the HARD disk before you install the RAID driver.

  • Update the window cannot install KB2419640 with error code 80080005.

The error code number popped up several times in last day little, but I seem to remember that it is an anti-virus complain of not being able to access the location, as if it were a file location or directory. Just this morning as model factory-restore strangely was reboot after 5-7 minutes with my mother by running. He's fine now, but this update will not be installed and is just telling me he hates me. I'm not a complete noob, but I'm new to Win 7. Please explain carefully and humanely, lol.

PS - I'm sure that the number as a location points to Trend Micro Titanium + trial, that when I was doing the 'Factory Restore' backup drive, he moaned on an A - V running and said that he could not access this location.

Solved. Is gone from the Menu start-> Windows Update-> View Update History-> installed updated, uninstalled the update, and then manually verified and auto-installe, has worked well. Sorry to bother are going for nothing, hope this helps someone!

  • [G4 Pavilion] Starting from 8.1 to Windows cannot install DVDs using the UEFI.

I have a g4 of Pavilion which had 8 Windows installed, until I decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1. I followed the instructions I found in other posts on this forum to be able to boot from the installation DVD - I had both disable secure boot and enable legacy Support, because otherwise, the system ignores the DVD drive (it is not even appear in the F9 Boot Menu if Legacy Support is not enabled!). The problem is that my HARD drive is formatted in GPT partition scheme, and the DVD of Windows 8.1 fails to install the OS on the drive when starting in the traditional Mode.

What should I do to be able to start on the DVD Setup mode UEFI? I even tried to boot from inside Windows 8, itself, using the options advanced boot, but as soon as the system reboots, UEFI throws an error indicating that the computer is unable to boot from the DVD. I know that the DVD is * NO * damaged in any way since 1. I am able to start inside in the traditional Mode and 2. I was able to start it in UEFI mode on another computer.

I had actually done this, but install the 'dirty' update messed with stuff I had installed so I decided to do a cleaning.

Anyway, I solved the problem on my own (I discuss with a very nice representative of HP chat support, but she could not give me a solution that does not necessarily need to reformat the entire disk to an MBR partition scheme) through the following steps:

    1. created in a single file system FAT32 on a 8 GB USB key.

    2. copy the contents of the installation on the USB DVD. I thought that the root of the problem is that the system is not allowing me to access the DVD player at the start, I might as well try to see if it recognizes other files systems.

3 restarted, you press F9 to start and selected the USB in the list of available boot devices.

4 here, managed to start the installation on the UEFI mode Win8 DVD, as well as the installation worked flawlessly.

So, it's the thing people. It still sucks that it is necessary to go through all this trouble to install an OS, however.
