  You are right in thinking that the computer should see signal Wireless Wifi Direct to the printer when he sees all the other neighborhood WiFi networks. It would probably, if the wireless radio was working properly.

  To answer your question - YES - but you must use the HP software and drivers, not one provided by Microsoft.

  You must download and install full feature software and drivers for the printer.

  Then unplug the printer and install the software.

  Do reconnect the printer until the installation program invited to do so.

  Once the installation is complete, restart.

  You should then be able to use your printer in Win10.

  Not only did I ghost lines quality is terrible, y at - it an update to help fix this problem?  I have to edit each document by adjusting the contrass, which makes my homework look as if it was burned down, so my instructor can read. Uhggg. I tried hard start and cleaning of the listed procedures, but none of it worked.  After I scan it and doctor a document that is mostly in "BOLD" impression. I save on my desktop as a pdf and then later join my email.

  I see that you have a scan image quality problem with your Officejet Pro 8600.  I would check how you have this printer connected to the power.  The unit has a built in the surge protector and using the 8600 with one another surge protector/power strip can lead to problems of image quality with copies/scans/faxes.  I advise to connect the printer to a direct outlet if this has not already been done.

  So, check to see if the issue of image quality is with the scans or the question follows with copies so?  Try to make a copy of a scanned document, compare the original and the copy the image on your screen.

  Try another test I scan a document, and then print the resulting scanned image.  It corresponds to the original, or is it like the image displayed on the PC?

  You start the scan of the front of the 8600 or from the software on the PC?  How the 8600 is connected to your PC?  What is the operating system of the PC connected to the 8600 that you use for the scans?

  I want to make sure exactly where the problem is that I used many 8600 s and had no problem with scanning as you describe.

  It looks like you ran out of black ink.  I suggest to change the type of Photo paper glossy, then the color cartridge will be used even to print black areas.

  • It happens with all of them?
  • You open the image with what program?
  • Have you tried saving the file with a different file name, reopening then print?

  Did you do that your computer has all of the windows updated? How can I tell if my computer is up to date?

  Try to restart the computer.

  HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning problems. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor , if she doesn't fix it automatically I would know what errors or messages that you receive.

  Have you tried 1234 or 0000?  Everyone loves these pin codes!  I'm kidding - bad joke.

  I have not used this printer, but you should be able to change the PIN code or delete the account and start again.  To do this:

  To change the account settings
  1. Press Scan and then tap email.
  2. on the display control panel, select the account you want to modify and press on change.
  3. Select the setting that you want to change and follow the prompts on the screen.
  ● Auto-login
  ● Store Email
  ● Remove the list
  ● Change your CODE
  ● Remove the account

  You can try in first 'change PIN'.  If you are prompted to enter a new PIN, then you can try to delete the account.  I do not know if invites you to insert the PIN as well.  If so, let me know and I'll see what I can dig up.  If you know your PIN and don't want to get in, you might be able to put in place using the "Auto-login" option only.

  I have been using this printer with mixed success. Initially it would scan and send faxes quickly.  I have a set on my network IP address and is not into a power strip or backup power.  I have the latest drivers, etc.. HP just released. However, given that I signed up and started using the service of HP ink, by which I get so many pages per month and ink when I'm low, the printer has got in its movements of grand-pa.   I have an IMAC desk top connected to an Office Jet Pro 8600, running MAC OS 10.6.8.  I can't scanner to scan photos to a specific size.   I use the HP utility but no matter what I try to do the witnesses only scanned image angle front right of the scanner glass.  How can I change the size of the JPEG scanner and how to scan some picture of the size that I place on the glass?

• Office Jet 6700 causes computer crash

  HP 6700 Office Jet all in one my laptop down caucused.  Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I brought this Office and they said that my computer was not repairable. I bought the new laptop and installation of IT people that and it caused the computer crash with blue screen.  A new second round to and same problem.  I won't download your difficulty because I fear that the same thing will happen. I returned the printer at point of purchase. I have read several posts where the same issue occurred and the establishment of retail (Staples) should have knowledge and not sold me the printer.

  How do you have the printer connected to your computer?

  Please make sure that the printer connected to a USB 2.0 PC port and not a USB 3.0 port as the product HP is not compatible with USB 3.0.

  Also make sure you have the latest USB drivers installed on your computer.
