I am train to this day my java put I am getting an error 1714 and tells me to contact my technical support group

I tried to delete my older java, but we won't delete I keepgetsomething put it in a different folder, I'm clueless.then it says contact support technical error 1714

See this page--> http://www.java.com/en/download/help/error_1714.xml

Development of a procedure on the Java page linked above:

1. to follow step 1, log in as a user with "computer administrator" privileges and go to control panel > Add / Remove programs.  Uninstall all instances of the Java Runtime Environment (there may be variations on this name).

2 step 2 links to a Microsoft FixIt utility. I'm not familiar with it, and it may or may not help (although clearly the Java think that).  I suggest Revo Uninstaller (free) or the older Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.  On this last point, the cleanup utility Windows Uninstaller removed Microsoft download servers because sometimes it seems more removed he was supposed to (I believe this was linked to Office uninstall).  You can always get the utility Windows Installer Cleanup here--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html before using any of these cleaning products, you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm

3. it's pretty self-explanatory.
