5G pcie wifi card for HP 15 - d069wm

I would like to know if anyone has successfully upgraded the wifi card Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn in their HP-15d069wm (BIOS e.17) with a card capable of 5G dual band and has a flow speed 5G? If so, what card was it?

I installed the wifi cards in other laptops with success, but I don't want to buy a card that did not proven to work, as the speed of 5G cards are a 'bit' more expensive.

Thanks in advance!

Hello:

I agree and here is a wire and a post in this thread that indicates consumers are now free to install any wlan cards they want in the new pavilion 15 and 17 models.

    Hello

I found the info that this unit is ready WLAN and is attributed to the WLAN option in option. Check please the Device Manager and see if the wireless adapter is listed under network adapter. If this is not the case, the device is without wireless network card.

Let us know if the card is on board and we can write once again how the card must be activated.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the WLAN slot is placed under the keyboard. There is also the antenna cables (black and white cable). Update is not a problem, and you can only do so at your own risk of course. ;)

Unfortunately I put t know exactly what WLAN card is compatible. If you want you can use the external solution. It is much easier.

  • Mini PCI WIFI card, what are the black and white wires for

Hi after a lot of research, I find that my 303 1900 is the later model which can be turned into Wi-Fi, it has the LED on the front panel and the switch on the right side. I contacted Toshiba who gave me the part number which is PA 3212U - 3MPC and telephone number of the supplier, 0870 2202 202 costs about £55.00. After the Panel on the lower part of the machine (which houses the memory), I see the place where insert the PCI, which is holding me back of buying the card would be there are 2 wires 1 Black 1 white stuck with tape in the compartment where the card slips, I understand they are antenna but where are they going? they have to be fed outside of the case or they will work inside. ?

I used a Belkin PC card for awhile but have a little tired to remove whenever I have the laptop computer in its carrying case. (OK buy a bigger box), Russell.

    Hi Russell

The driver is usually on the CD you will get with the wireless network card. Don t worry about the installation of the driver. It is very easy.

  • Replacing the WIFI card for laptop G72

    Hi all

I think that I have given up trying to fix my current card WiFi RALINK RT3090 because for some reason any it simply stopped working since last Thursday.

Am looking to buy a replacement one but don't know with all these terminologies

The repair, I found the sub elements:

    -Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter 1 1 x
    -Module WLAN 802.11b/g/n 1 x 2 Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000
    -Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 WiFi adapter (for 1.0 and 1.1 only models)
    -Adapter of WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 4313

All I'm looking for is something that connects with my router that is currently configured for 2.4 Ghz (can go up to 5 GHz but not looking for it) and get the best connectivity possible and if I choose to use my Smart TV with DLNA technology.

I'll keep your recommendation in mind.

You would be so kind to answer my original question which will help me a lot

Q1: Will all these above mentioned work card WLAN on my G72 (it is B02SA or B20SA) portable or can be picked up any other WLAN card (mini/low-profile if I'm not mistaken, that's what we call them). Check in the download section to check if the drivers are available. This nmeans that support BIOS is present.
Q2: What is "for 1.0 and 1.1 only models"? It's information that can only be obtained at HP internally. It is likely to be market designations for models for the specific world regions.
Q3: Which of them will give me better speeds and possible connetivity? Module Intel uses the drivers Intel is more reliable.
Q4: My previous card Ralink RT3090BC4 gave me several questions whenever I have to reinstall my OS so don't want the hassle. I also had problems with this module in the past. I prefer Intel and Realtek.

You should consider browsing the forums on the sites of BIOS mod your laptop from warranty. There is a risk attached to the use of modded BIOS, you will have to accept. Modded BIOS files can remove blacklists of module.

    Hi Galdor,

It of not simple to change the W - Lan card.
The card ist under the keyboard and under the top cover.
You have to disassemble the entire and when you do that you lose your warranty.
I think it's the best for you to contakt a service point for this work.

  • AC update wifi card for dv7-6b77dx?

Hello.  I am considering buying a router using the new standard wireless AC and I wonder if there are cards wifi AC which are approved for use in the United States with the dv7-6b77dx?  I was looking specifically at the 7260HMW of Intel, but if there is no other AC wireless card that is approved for use, I'm open to alternatives.

If there is no not currently approved for use, is there any timetable when we get?  Thank you.

Well I never get all the points for this answer, but wi - fi laptops HP maps are locked. You can install a wireless cards HP offered from the factory. Here is the Manual:

See pages 6 and 7 for your options.

I've never seen HP make additional wireless cards available with a BIOS update later. I don't think that HP offers a 802.11ac wireless on all models still card.

I have a Satellite 1905-S301 laptop. I just bought a new Intel Pro/Wireless Mini PCI WiFi card because I discovered that my laptop is WiFi active (I have had it for two years and did not know this).
I installed the card, attached to the antenna to it and installed the software. The computer recognises the card, but he won't find not all networks that are out there and it gives me the error that I need to turn on the hardware for the WiFi switch, even when it is turned on.

    Hello

On the right side of the laptop, you should find a WLan hardware switch.
It must be on the use of the Wlan card.

    Hey Buddy,

Yes, your laptop is a mini-PCI-slot on the bottom of your machine, close the memory locations.
Just open the cover where the mem slots are and there should be the minipci slots too where you can insert a Mini-PCI wifi card.

    Welcome them

    Hello

Satellite P20 S203 is certainly Wi - Fi level and according to the specification of Toshiba (at this time), you can use two compatible WIFI adapters:
    Wireless LAN card PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b) and PA3273U-2MPC (Atheros 802.11ab).

The card you want to use is new product, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Just try everything and if there is a problem of compatibility you can return.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

  • Find a WiFi card driver for my laptop.

Hi, I have my kids great cast off laptop. They forgot all the passwords I did an installation of Win 7 CD.

Now it seems that no driver for the WiFi card. Every way I try to download a driver (I'm looking to download more in the hope of finding one that works) they want to go on the web and find and download rather than just give me the file. Of course the machine cannot connect to the web without the driver. (Catch 22).

I'm stuck. What can I do?

    Ken

You should get the driver for your wireless network card (and possibly additional drivers) on the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop.

Many of the major manufacturers portable have systems that will allow you to get the right drivers for your specific unit.

Dell, for example, uses the 'number of Service Dell'--> http://www.dell.com/support/contents/us/en/04/article/Product-Support/Self-support-Knowledgebase/locate-service-tag/Notebook

Lenovo has a 'machine type/model' designation or serial number used to identify the machine--> https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/find-product-name

If the driver download page that you arrive finally has more than one driver for a wireless network adapter, open Device Manager (click Start Orb, type Device Manager, press enter), double-click "Network adapters" section to develop, and you should be able to match the description of your wireless network adapter to one of the reasons mentioned on the download page.

If you can't always understand what you have, double-click the entry for your wireless network adapter, click on the "Détails" tab, select "Hardware ID" from the drop-down list and post back with the specified value (you can right click > copy this value and then paste in your response).  It should look like this:

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_16B1 & SUBSYS_96B11849 & REV_10

Once you have located the correct driver, download it using the computer that you use to ask your question here, copy to a USB flash drive and take the flash drive to the computer laptop problem.
