  • Switchable Graphics Win 8.1

    Help!

-Cannot move to AMD 7670 in Win8.1 (but can use Intel HD 4000)

-Tried the Drivers from HP listed in the downloads page (even the last beta Driver 14.6 listed on page AMD)

    Using a HP G6 2230tx

    Hello JithuKR,

I see you are trying to get switchable graphics working on your laptop. I will try to help you with this.

Have you installed 8.1 directly, or have you started with Win8 and upgrade?

I also have you will provide this document to read on the switchable graphics: switchable graphics on laptops equipped with Intel and ATI GPU.

As you have tried the drivers on the site and the updates available for 8.1 vs 8, you will need to do is to come back to Win 8. Then run the updates to the entire system.

Make sure that you update the BIOS and Intel and ATI graphics (in that order). Make sure that all updates of the system Win 8 have completed. Configure the computer upward from the way that you want, and then upgrade to Win 8.1. To see if it works properly.

It is an option, you could start by restoring the drivers or uninstall them by using the site and then reinstall. You want if sure you do all first driver Intel.

If all fails, then you can try to use the drivers OEM of Intel and AMD. Don't forget you want to install the driver first Intel, and AMD.

  • HP DV7-6052ea: Switchable graphics driver

Hi, I have recently upgraded my HDD with SSD and lost all my drivers.

I managed to get the drivers for everything except my graphics card. (Need the driver and catalyst control center)

I have the Radeon HD 6490 M and Intel adapters (4000?) integrated.

When I search for the model of my laptop on this site it just says "page not found".

I know that I can't use the drivers from AMD as it will not work with switchable graphics so that any help would be appreciated.

    IM using a DV7 6052ea on Windows7 Home Premium 64-bit with Intel HM65 Board

  • Switchable Graphics - Envy 17 3D-1190nr

Trying to find out if the Envy 17 3D-1190nr has the ability to switch between the Radeon 5850 graphics card and integrated?

Catalyst Control Center has no option to edit and update the BIOS most recent done

    Running Windows 7 Pro

According to the HP ENVY 17 - Maintenance and Service of Guide for your laptop HP ENVY 17 - 1190nr 3D Edition range, this model has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 discrete graphics with video memory 1024 MB GDDR5 dedicated card. On this basis, I would say it is not graphical "swichable.

Please look under "Graphics cards" in the Windows Device Manager and look for the entry for Intel HD graphics card or similar. If it exists, it can have graphics 'swicthable '.  If the only entrance is for "Radeon 5850", this model does not support the "switchable" graphics

  • Satellite Pro R850-10V - switchable graphics ATI 6450 M / Intel HD3000

Unfortunately, right now the R series does not offer a switchable graphic option between the integrated graphics chipset (Intel HD Graphics 3000) and him dedicated ATI 6450 M.

I have a model R850-10V with an i5 - 2410M and there is no option in the BIOS to such a choice, who would help a lot to increase the autonomy of the battery using only the onboard graphics for example.
Could see us in the future upgrade of bios that would allow this integrated graphics?

It's a shame, because all other important producers (HP, Lenovo, Acer) who use ATI 6450/6470/6490 M graphics integrated solution, updated their bios to allow a switchable graphics option.

    Thank you.

    > Could see us in the future upgrade of bios that would allow this integrated graphics?
Very good question, but on the wrong place. This is the forum user and you will not get an official statement here.

Let's see if Toshiba is going to change anything, and perhaps offer some update BIOS.

  • HP Envy 14-2013tx switchable graphics of does not work.

My laptop is plugged into the wall outlet, I've specified applications to CCC to use 'High Performance', but I'm not convinced the system is switching to the Radeon HD 6630 M GPU. I used dxdiag and GPU Caps Viewer time to test the GPU in operation and it will not display Intel HD Graphics. Also, I can easily say that 3D rendering performance is much lower than what is expected of a graphics chip.

    It's really frustrating, please help.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Please see the link below ~ it contains a separate link to a document on how to configure high performance applications - if they are Open Gl base they cannot run - BUT - we will soon have a ROM update available for this model with dynamic switching... You will be able to select the fixed Mode, which will allow you to run open GL on AMD

  • Envy 17 3010eg: upgrade to Windows 8 and update Bios: no switchable graphics and other problems

    Hello

I'm of the Germany, but I'll do my best to write this in English.

    The product name and number: HP Envy 17 3010eg {information}

Operating system: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

    Drivers: everything up to date

    Long story short,

I just wanted to upgrade the pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit to the new Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

So I waited until the driver for Windows 8 support has been completed by HP.

This month, I noticed that HP has released a graphic driver for Windows 8.

Happy as I was I installed Windows 8 immediately via upgrade function.

I installed all the missing drivers.

    * Update Bios to F.08*

I noticed that I had to upgrade my Bios to version F.08 to install new graphics drivers. I did the upgrade and installation of the driver.

BUT after the update to the version of the Bios the laptop only F.08 recognized the AMD graphics card. The integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics card had disappeared!

Even after installing the new graphics driver, the Intel card is still missing in the 'Device Manager' of Windows 8.

The battery life is now about 1 1/2 to 2 hours maximum because the laptop always uses the card AMD.

So I looked in the 'new' Bios, but I have not found a way to change the graphics card. So I think that there is only a 'software' switch to do so.

I have installed "AIDA64"and look under "Graphics".» The graphics card Intel HD 3000 has been mentioned as 'disabled'.

Nice, but I have no idea how to turn it on again.

So I re-installed Windows 8. This time, I did a completely clean install. With the same results.

So, I switched to Windows 7, and there you go. Two graphics cards are displayed in "Device Manager" and the switchable graphics feature works perfectly (! even with the new version of the Bios F.08!).

    * Tested in Bios Version F.09*

Yesterday, I noticed another Bios Update. This time in version F.09.

So, I updated the Bios with Windows 7 installed.

    Everything went well (I thought!).

Once, I've done a completely new installation of Windows 8 to take a peek, if Intel HD 3000 card will be recognized this time.

    BUT without success...

So, I thought that the problem could only be Windows 8, because Windows 7 works perfectly.

    * Problems with Bios Version F.09*

BUT then, I noticed a strange behaviour of my laptop:

    -proximity sensor no longer works

-the keyboard backlight cannot be (DIS-) activated

-the brightness of the backlight is half as usual

-internal fans are going crazy-> they accelerate without reason (laptop is idle) and won't slow down until I do a re-boot

    * Version of the Bios downgraded to F.05*

So, I spent to the version of the Bios to the older Version available: F05

And I was a little shocked by the result.

Windows 8 acknowledged the Intel HD 3000 graphics card again!

    The problem is the Bios!

Then, I upgraded the version of Bios version to see which version of the cause of the problem:

    Œuvres F05

    Œuvres F.06

    F.08 does not work

    F.09 does not work

So I decided to stay with the version F.06

BUT to install the new Windows graphic 8 driver you need the version of Bios F.08 (min.).

    I installed the driver anyway...

I found myself with a black screen... I had to reinstall Windows completely.

    Yet more long story short,

I ended up using Windows 8 Pro 64 - bit with the graphics card AMD only.

I also updated the Bios (back) to the version F.08 dispelled the problems with the version of the Bios F.09 I mentioned.

So for the moment I am absolutely no idea what the problem might be.

The support has not yet heard of these problems and I have not found any website which explains the same problem.

Every posting, I found explains that the AMD card is not recognized by Windows 8 but Intel HD card.

Someone else got the same problems?

What do you think? Is it really a problem with the Bios?

What can I do to solve the problem?

for me the best driver are:

    http://leshcatlabs.NET/

Works Perfekt (cards during execution of the F06 BIOS and a map when F08/09) and are updated often.

    Hello

Do you mean switchable graphics AMD technology that switches between graphic internal Intel and external ATI GPU?
As far as I know that this is not supported. Only the switch between Intel <->nVidia (called optimus technology) is supported.

  • Y560 switchable graphics do not work

    Hi all

I have the model of i5 y560 WITH switchable graphics, however, sometimes it does not.

Basically when I try to switch from graphics using the switch of the money up front, there is no response. I even tried to right click on desktop and try to change it using "configure switchable graphics", but there is still no response.

This happens very randomly, but usually after I wake up from sleep mode.

also, when this happens, my games tend to run at unusually low fps.

can someone tell me why this is happening?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Switchable graphics can I or not?

My T61P with NVIDIA graphics died on me on Friday. I was 'under the gun' and tried to recover quickly and decided to replace it with another series of T. I scored a 'Fixer' T500 (2422 7VU; 09/09 xxxxx) off the coast of craigslist. He acknowledged my T61p Windows 8.1 Pro system disk and booted up immediately. After downloaded and installed all the drivers I could find, it is not clear to me if I "switchable graphics" or not. I have a mini dock and a configuration double monitor. My main screen of Lenovo is 1280 x 800 and the single display showing driver is "Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (WDDM 1.1)" my secondary display a Samsung SyncMaster EX2220 turn in 1920 x 1080. It is connected to the DVI port on the mini dock. I installed the ATI Catalyst Control Center and "Switchable Graphics calculators", but I don't see an ATI display adapter in Device Manager. If I click with the right button on the desktop and select "Catalyst Control Center", two processes started. 'ccc.exe"(Catalyst Control Center?) and"MOM.exe"(monitor?). I also noticed that after that these two processes are started, my installed memory falls from 8 GB to 7.91 GB. I have installed the Thinkvantage Power Monitor but when I select 'High performance' in Control Panel Power Options "Apply" is "grayed out" if I try to start one of the programs in the Catalyst Control Program Files folder, that nothing happens? Do I not have an installed ATI chipset or not? If so, how can I make this work?

I have not cracked open except to install the memory, although I'll probably do so soon. The CPU fan has a really annoying rattle. That will certainly tell me more, but maybe someone knows the answer. Compared to my T61p with NVIDIA 570 M this system feels a bit slow and jerky video.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

2422 7VU isn't a real model. Do you mean 2242? If so, 2242-7vu integrated graphics only

  • Dynamic Switchable graphics does not work

I have a dv6-7014nr, I'm having trouble playing games. The Dynamic Switchable graphics does not work, my client of the game runs only on my Intel HD4000 GPU. I tried to disable the integrated Intel and just use the GT650M from NVIDIA, but I couldn't find the option in the BIOS. I don't know what to do, I can't play Tera Online with 8 FPS.

It seems that this is a problem with the profile of Tera and affect many of the manufacturer and not just HP.  This is not a BIOS problem so much as it is the profile that the program from Nvidia's Tera.

See page 4/5 of this thread on the Tera forums for a solution that seems to work for others who have the same problem you are having.
