6.5.0 vs 6.6.0 on Pro6

I'm about to venture into the relm of OS6 on my Pro6 and I'm curious to know if I should start by 6.5.0 (which, from everything I've read, is very stable) vs tries to run 6.6.0.

I see that some applications do not yet work on 6.6.0, one of them being PLEX which I would like to experiment, but not immediately.

I am very good about backups, but this is my 'production home server' and is used to store data of christiane.

I am running 4.2.28. but ran 4.2.19 for many years.

Once I have a stable version, I plan on moving all my data on the updated platform.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

In any case Plex problems are with the RN2XX ARM build, I believe, not the x 86 one.

  • El Capitan over 6 years MacBook Pro?

My wife has a MacBook Pro bought in the summer 2010 under OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. The designation of the model MacBook Pro6, 2 and it has a two-core 2.66 GHz i7 with 4 GB memory DDR3 1067 MHz.

I think I saw at one time or another as a upgrade to El Capitan, offered in a notification window on the screen when it is to use. Although this would simplify issues such as our other laptops are on El Capitan, I'd hate to so she can update to see that there is a big performance gotcha of some type.

Anyone can vouch with certainty that the upgrade of a MacBook Pro of that time at El Capitan is not cause problems that we might regret? (I speak only of performance. As features go, as indicated very know El Capitan.)

Well whatever you want a plan of relief in place before the upgrade. This way you can easily come back if needed.

You can check your app compatibility, so there are no surprises.

If you run all the updates on your 10.6.8 in preperation

  • Satellite M40-225 download Phoenix recover tiscali pro6

keep getting right message at the end of the failed download "year error has occurred - installation wizard has encountered a problem running chkdsk/f to correct & try again" tried 5 times and contacted tiscali advising of 'something' on my laptop does not block download - ideas anyone?

    HI James,

It is unlikely that nothing is actually blocking the download being the only possibilities here your firewall (always assuming that you have enabled) or your anti-virus software. In both cases this would prevent download of even start or at least give you a pop-up warning that would then allow you to proceed to the download.

If you have the possibility to download in .zip format, I would recommend this operation and then, by running the installation after the download finished. In this way, you can eliminate the download process itself.

It is significant that the installation wizard asking you to run a CHKDSK/F, because this suggests problems in reading the data from your hard drive.

  • Amount of data lost after replacement of disc on Readynas Pro 6

Hi, I just came across a serious problem, and I hope someone can help me.

Currently my Readynas Pro 6 does not see no matter what volume the 6 X-Raid Array disk more.

I walked past my NAS one a few hours ago and saw the display flashing with the message that the volume has been degraded. A little strange as I had not had any warning about the deterioration of the disc before. I have identified the disc (#2) and replaced by a spare part that I had prepared for such occasions. After the reconstruction has been completed the readynas showed the message that the volume was still degraded: about 5 to 10 minutes later the identified readynas drive 5 must be replaced. Two drives at the same time? I don't have another spare drive, so I thought of making a scrub to see if that would make a difference. The scrub my NAS on the timer go out. When I restarted it, it had lost its range X-Raid.

Anyone have any idea if I can solve this? The pro6 nas Works 6.2.4, the admin interface works fine, I have access to log files.

    Erik

Yes, required that windows file systems.

Obviously much cheaper than any professional collection service.

When I try to install CAD Pro6 on my ASUS laptop, I get an error 1320: specified path is too long.  I tried to change the path so it is not that long, but it does not yet install.  Jonathan Z had asked Howbat how go through computer > organize > folder options > view and check "show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and then re-install the software, but it still gives me the error 1320.  I contacted the technical support CAD Pro and they tell me that it is a Windows Installer issue.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you
