  When you say that you can not load, is that average Captivate does not start?

  Try running the application as 'Administrator' and check.

  You can also check by the launch in "compatibility" mode and see.

  In case still have problems you, try to reset the preferences of Captivate and then check by launching the application.

  To reset the preferences, please follow the steps below:

  • Close to Adobe Captivate.
  • Find the folder preference:
    • [ Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name] 7 Captivate \AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe folder
  • Rename the folder of Captivate.
  • Restart Adobe Captivate. A new folder is created automatically.

• What to do to install Captivate 4 on a third computer laptop?

  I bought Adobe Captivate 4 for my personal use.

  (1) my laptop (32-bit) work that works on XP
  (2) portable my wife (64-bit) which runs on Vista.

  I had many questions running Adobe Captivate 4 on portable 64-bit of my wife.

  But Captivate 4 works well on XP 32 bit laptop.

  My problem is I'd lose the 32-bit computer, I have to return it to my employer, soon. So, I bought a Thinkpad running Windows 7 Premium 32 bit.

  I'll be able to install my purchased Captivate 4 licenses in the new machine? Or should I first 'Unregister' Captivate from one of the machines earlier (and if so, how to do that)? I heard somewhere, that only 2 machines can both use the same license of Captivate 4.

  Hello

  You will need to disable one of the copies to be able to install it on a third computer. Disabling can be done using the menu. You don't need to uninstall, but only two copies can be activated at the same time.

• Bench memory not installed - start question

  I have a Pavilion a6242n running Vista Home Premium.  A few months ago, it got to where I had to try several times to get the computer to boot when I turned it on (come to lights and fans on so I decided is was not a power supply problem).  I had to try many times more until he finally wouldn't start at all.  After reading a suggestion in this forum, I decided to remove the RAM sticks one at a time to see if it was my problem.  He initialized right upward when I removed the first stick.  The motherboard has 4 slots for RAM & came with a 512 MB stick in each of the first 2 slots (black) and a stick of 1 GB each of the 2nd 2 slots (blue) for a total of 3 GB.  Realizing that I'd get all the benefits of 4 GB of memory running Vista 32-bit, I always bought 2 sticks of 1 GB (240 pin DDR2, unbuffered PC2 5300 memory) Crucial since it was only $ 5 more than 2-512 sticks. I installed the new clubs in the 1st 2 slots.  Since then, the computer has started occasionally (not every time), but never stays on for more than an hour without a future BSOD.  I tried reseating the memory sticks and move the original 1 GB sticks to the first 2 slots.  At any given time while I move the sticks & them relocation several times, I can smell a burning smell.  Through troubleshooting, I decided that maybe the hard drive was bad, so I replaced that as well.  Since the departure of memory and any sticks I have where the installer has not recognized the first Bank of memory.  He says always "not installed".  Banks of memory 2-4 always show properly 1 GB of memory in each.  I tried to reset the bios by removing and replacing the battery on the MB and reset jumpers.

  My question is this: this machine is able to start properly without the first Bank of memory?  I came to the conclusion that it is bad because it is not recognized not matter what memory is there.  May dispense with the extra memory, I don't know if I should spend more time and money trying to save this machine.  The crack can be repaired or replaced if it is a necessity for appropriate start?  I decided that if the motherboard needs to be replaced, I will buy a new computer.

  In response to your questions, it sounds like the first Bank location memory is dead and it is probably not useful, both financially or in practice, for repair - you would probably find that a new motherboard is cheaper anyway.

  If the computer starts ok without this slot being usable, it might well continue to work for a while yet - I had a PC with a dead memory slot that lasted another 2 years!  However, if it is continually starts giving a BSOD on a regular basis, you would be wise to consider a new PC.

  Forgive me if I have asked this question before. But since I reinstalled Captivate 8 and it runs correctly, I want to make sure I have all good.

  To maintain a system of effective clean files I should have all my Captivate 8 files, as well as external files imported into the same folder as 8 Captivate creates in the preferences? A preference for publish to another folder hiding project... In other words, all these folders and files must be in the same directory?

  N° !!!  Publishing to the folder will have projects, backups. The

  Fiolder cache will be put in the file cache. If all are in the same folder, compensation

  (often necessary) cache will delete all your projects and your backups.

• Adobe Captivate Question 9-Animation (path)

  I am currently working in Adobe Captivate 9 and fight with some paths.  I've got some grouped items (an example: a piece of the puzzle is grouped with a text box) and want to evolve together on a path.  This trajectory looks great in the preview, the preview of HTML5, etc..  However, when I publish it as a file zip for my E-Learning review, it looks nothing like the preview or preview of html5.  The piece of the puzzle is in one place, and the text ends by not moving does not regarding - as they seek is more as if they are grouped.

  In another example of this same question, groups I put movement paths on did not end with the position that they appeared at the end in HTML5 preview or overview screen.

  You cannot apply a trajectory groups? Does anyone else have this problem? How can I solve it?

  You can apply trajectories to groups, but it is a little tricky. It is the focal point of the group following the path.

  Alternatively, you can check your version number? There are questions for the output in the first version. The current version is 9.0.1.320

  Perhaps.  You can try to insert the video as a video synchronized multiple slides (even if it's on a single slide) which will then translate the video editing is locked in the timeline of the slide. You can drag the length of the blade of quiz and set the point of break of the quiz slide to where you want the video to pause.  Try in a quick experimental project and see if it does what you want.  The other way to pause the slide would be to use a smart shape button as other types of interactive objects can be added to the quiz slides.

• vCloud Director 5.1 install OS Question

  Can I use CentOS instead of Red Hat as the operating system for vCloud Director install?  If yes what the game (if any) would be if I needed VMware support (they even would support me)?

  There is nothing prevents you to install it on CentOS.  During the installation you will be told that you are using an unsupported operating system.

  All the problems that would arise from the use of CentOS instead of RHEL is not support.  We must do better to ensure that it is not a question of use/code, as well a reasonable given the suspicion that the OS is really at fault.

  Strictly speaking, being an employee of VMware, I can't close my eyes go against the recommendations of the platform supported.

  I downloaded and installed 8 Captivate on my Mac, but I can't seem to install the voice NeoSpeech add on.  I downloaded the .dmg installer I couple of different times, and began to install it, but he gets only to the installation of 2% and then says Installation failed every time.  When I look at the summary it is said of the errors:

  I have a laptop Windows 7, I try to install 7 Captivate on.  It has been previously installed on a different laptop.  I have reinstalled on the original laptop and it turned off.  Whenever I try to install it on the new laptop, I get the error message "serial number you provided is valid, but calling it a product was not found on this computer."  So I select the product calling, Captivate 6 and already installed on the laptop (already disabled on the former) and I get this: "this serial number is not for a product calling." Pleast try another. »

  I just installed 6 Captivate on the laptop, using the exact serial number, I put in the check as a "product"qualifying companies"."  What more, I had zero issue reinstalling Captivate 7 on the old laptop to turn it off.  What is going on?

  I need to install the updated release Captivate 6 on my computer, they gave me a CD ROM, but I don't have a CD drive on my computer. Any idea to install?

  Copy on a USB key on the machine anotehr or download the trial version and activate it with your serial number.

• Cannot install Captivate 4 NeoSpeech

  I built a new Windows 7 64-bit workstation for our employees.  I disabled the Captivate 4 on its old 32-bit Windows XP workstation and it enabled on its new Windows 7 desktop.  It seems to work very well, but when I downloaded Captivate4_NeoSpeech and try to run a progress bar displays for about 5 seconds and disappears and nothing else happens.  I can see the executable running in the Task Manager, and then it goes right now.

  I put the executable file to run as administrator and we tried the compatibility settings for several levels of operating system such as Windows XP Service Pack 3.  Does anyone have recommendations?

  If the memories are good, there are two steps to this process. The first step was to run an executable file. But this executable has really was to extract an executable SECOND which has been setup. Then, you had to run the executable a second to install the voice. After that you need to restart the Captivate.
