614332 001, pavilion DV6T-3000: front drive 614332-001

The CD/DVD-writer / optical drive Blu - Ray Player in my laptop Pavilion DV6T-3000 died. The reader sends is more a signal to the computer when a disc is inserted. So if I try to access the drive, I get the prompt telling me to insert a disc and insert any type of disc, the computer never realize. This prompted me to update the player to the type I always wanted, but which, for some reason, I was unable to order originally, namely the CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Writer, part number 614332-001. I bought a new drive and took the defective drive. Now, I need to transfer the bezel from the old drive to the new, which has only a thin cover, simple door. I'm sure it remains the way to go, but I don't see any screws, and I don't want to break anything by forcing the plastic parts. Can someone guide me here, preferably with pictures or video? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I'd like to update my CPU, but don't know which are supported by my motherboard.

    I have a HP Pavilion DV6T-3000 series.

    Part of the motherboard: 615278-001

    Original CPU: i7-720QM

In the dv6 manual (link below), it is mentioned that the Intel Core i7-740QM, i7-820QM and i7-840QM can used in general by computer laptop dv6, but it's not to specify which processor when with the motherboard.

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02657339.PDF

I would like to used the upgrade to i7-840QM, or at least i7-820QM or same i7-740QM as last resort.

Will be my motherboard suport it?

    Thank you

See page 22 of the manual here:

    Manual

Unlike compatibility processor only in motherboards, it's that there are motherboards for dual core and Quad Core boards. If you have a Quad Core, you can install any other Quad Core. These mobile Intel Core i7 1 genQuads always tends to be expensive and I don't know how much delivery must be done by replacing one such Quad Core for another. The base clock speed increase would be only 1.6 to 1.86 ghz, which is not terribly important. On eBay the i7-840QM is still ongoing for over $ $100 and for that price you approach the cost of a 500 GB SSD, which would provide a lot more help to your user experience.

I currently have the original 6 GB of ram that came on the HP laptop, which includes a stick of 4 GB and 2 GB key.

I want to spend the maximum amount of ram and the ram for maximum performance (speed). Analysis of Crucial.com says I have 6 GB of ram and the maximum ram is 8 GB. He also says that I can buy one (or two) 4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800. CL = 11.    NON ECC unbuffered.     DDR3-1600.   1.35v. here is the link for the crucial scan and recommendations:

    Issues related to the:

The Crucial scan seems to direct me to the memory of better and faster that is listed in the Service Guide. My laptop took advantage of this Crucial memory to operate at faster speeds than the memory, I have now? What latency (CL) cases? I saw sticks to new Egg with CL = 9 instead of this Crucial CL = 11. CL is important? What I have to buy two Crucial 4 GB sticks or I can I keep my original 4 GB stick and add a Crucial 4 GB stick for my 8GB? Is Crucial memory memory low density -something I've read elsewhere that I need? FWIW, a diagnostic analysis of Norton said that my current memory is syncing to 1067 ns.

I have also these two links below for key USB PNY to a Best Buy nearby. The first stick of memory PNY seems to correspond to the Crucial memory card. Is - this low density memory PNY memory? And yet once, can I buy a single stick of 4 GB and add to my current 4 GB stick? This 4 GB PNY stick below which seems to fit the profile of Crucial scan is what I would buy if he tell you it's compatible, because I can buy it at a Best Buy near and easily return it if it does not work:

Thank you for your help and your recommendations!

Hello.  I'll answer my own questions in the last post above.  Fortunately, HP expert Paul Tikanen resolved my questions in a thread with the following response.  Thank you, Mr. Tikkanen!

"The faster the memory will run in your laptop is at 1066 Mhz, which is the speed of the FSB of the i5 - 450 M.

    processor.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49022/Intel-Core-i5-450M-processor-3M-cache-2_40-GHz?q=%20i5-450M

So, my recommendation would be for you to buy a module of memory 4 GB DDR3 PC3 - 10600 (1333 MHz).

Thus, even the 1333 MHz chip will only work at 1066 MHz.

I had a lot of success with this configuration of brand and the memory chip.

Regardless of the brand you download, make sure he's 8 the little black chips of memory on each side of the Board, not 4.

Hi David, thanks for posting this... I haven't actually tried the method above, so do not know if it works or not. Before I even gave your method a test, I tried something else and it worked!

I followed the steps mentioned in this link: http://anterence.blogspot.com/2010/07/enabling-tap-zones-in-synaptics.html?showComment=1300242485556#c6757567949241367366

It worked! Finally, I was able to set up the area of tap for my laptop.

Someone else also suggested another way to achieve the same result: http://scottanderson.us/index.php?m=02&y=11&entry=entry110213-163030

Just a quick note for those who would use the touchpad and the clickpad not... This will not activate if the click of a button is activated. Then uncheck buttons activate or activate the option clickpad and you should be able to use the touchpad click

Thanks again David, really appreciate that you take the time to reply to this post!

  • Pavilion Dv6t - 3000 CTO Select: replace the hard drive on HP Pavilion Dv6t-3000 CTO Select Edition

My Dv6t-3000 CTO select came with a HP 160 GB SSD hard dive, part # 603673-001.  Here is the service manual for your laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02657339.pdf hard drive HP numbers are listed on page 65.

I want to replace my 160 GB SSD with a larger capacity drive.  I don't like to get again the SSD.  Would this WD Black WD5000LPLX 500 GB 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache SATA 6.0 GB / s 2.5 "Internal Hard Drive drive naked of the new egg be a good and compatible choice?  It would be the same size?  Do I need additional cables to install it?  Does with Imaging for transfer of operating system software and your data?

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822236873

It is an excellent hard drive; one of the best mechanical laptop from readers on the market. The mounting for the SSD material will also work with the HARD drive, you don't need anything in the way of shopping cart or cables. The hard drive and SSD are the same physical size with holes in the same place. However, this product is a "naked" drive, which means that it does not come with a software or additional hardware of any kind. You also need something like this:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Apricorn-notebook-upgrade-connection-ASW-USB3-25/DP/B005C983NA/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&QID=1427493337&SR=1-2&keywords=hard+drive+cloning+Kit

When you clone, choose resize "proportional". This will just make all the larger partitions in the same report. Passing a smaller on a player more large size is much easier that vice versa. Good luck.

  • HP pavilion dv6t a1u60aar: wireless driver not found.

    Hey.

I need to reinstall windows 7 on my laptop but I can not find a driver compatible wireless.

I forgot to back up the recovery.

I tried a lot of drivers that are in this web site.

I also tried the hp support, but it cannot find a driver for the wireless card.

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

There is no information available online about what model of wireless card your laptop is.

Please do the following so I can understand that, and then I'll post the links to the drivers you need.

Go to Device Manager.  There should be a category of other devices containing a list of devices that need drivers under this category.

The wireless card is labeled as a network controller.

Click the network controller device, and then click the Details tab in the upper part of the window of network controller device.

Now you should see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  • Windows Driver DV6T-3000 graphics 8

Hey guys! its my first post.

I need help with my computer hp laptop pavilion dv6t-3000/entertainment. I tried to install windows 8(64x), upgrade to windows 7(64x) and everything is going well, but after trying to update the graphics driver in Device Manager (there was an alert next to tell him he was out of date), the screen went black and I can not get windows 8 to display anything after the start menu.

I checked this site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=4221638&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us to help and downloaded the amd for graphics driver in windows 7(64x). I noticed that windows 8 was not on the list of operating systems and hp could support it not for my computer, but I've tried everything I can think of including: install drivers from hp for windows 7(64x), right click on the driver in Device Manager and click on update driver to recover the computer in the menu (f11) startup and reinstallation of windows 8 and try again and I tried all updates driver in safe mode (which does not work well). I updated my pc 3 times and reinstalled windows 8 and windows 7 one time twice.

If hp does not support my computer for windows drivers 8, is there anything else I can try?

    Thank you.

Windows 8 is not supported by HP on this model (so far), you're on your own to find drivers or methods toher to get the chart works properly, which may not be possible, at least until HP free W8 drivers for it at a later date.

    A quote from HP employee

"Some drivers worked in preview but not in RTM."

«Regarding the drivers Win7 in Win8, the major problem people have is switchable GPU.» Some systems just won't stand for Win8 switch. »
