  I had a Windows 7 Home Premium operating system installed on a Raid 1 (mirror) configuration for more than a year.   My user name has administrative privleges but I was unable to properly execute one of the suggestions I found on this topic on the Microsoft site, etc..  For example if I start a new task to the task Mgr, find cmd.exe in the Windows/System32 folder and try to "run as Administrator", I get a message "cannot find D:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe". But if I spend just without the option "Run as Administrator", the cmd function runs but unfortunately not as an administrator.  (Windows is probably showing on D: because of the additional Windows Boot partition that Windows Installer initially created on this drive is C :)

  In the last week or so I tried to save various files of my drives Raided by starting off my SSD drive which is not as recent as the pair Raided.  I didn't really want to re - install Windows 7 and charging/configure various other software I had on the pair Raided.  I can't find pictures of system or to try to fix the Win7 on the pair Raided, the restore points.  I tried a repair feature, without result.

  "Because I was not getting anywhere with the resolution of this ' error 7601" on my records searched, I have attached another drive and clone the SSD him but manually defined a 'disc system reserved' more on the SSD that fixed my "create a system image failures."  I have re-cloned and then to the SSD.

  I just restarted to from the SSD and now get "black background" with a "7601" error After losing my time following various guests/options/suggestions Microsoft who finally suggested that I should buy another copy of Windows software, I've run the MGADiag tool and which one out of this note.  I have full access to a windows environment 'normal' on system SSD... which I did not when starting and connecting to the pair of Raid.

  I just ran the Visual Basic slmgr.vbs with the /ato option.

  It has left me with a background black but deleted the message "not authentic 7601" and declares that "

  Your question is often asked and answered here on the forums.  There is no way to use a USB Hotsync connection with Vista 64-bit desktops.  Your solution is with Bluetooth, as described in this thread stickied near the top of this map.  You can also try a Wi - Fi connection.

  Just bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-1AI which was preloaded with Vista Home Premium.

  Try please start your computer in safe mode and restore your operating system to an earlier time (before the update). Maybe this will help.

  In the future be careful with updates. I recommend you to disable the automatic update. Just check the list with updated supply and install important and recommended only. Disable all optional updates. You don't need them.

• 0x8007001b with Vista Home Premium Center backup and restore backup failure

  I have my Toshiba Satellite M205-S7452 with Vista Home Premium for about 8 months, and November 2007, backup windows, and restore program worked flawlessly. I was able to back up my music, photos and documents to a DVD on a regular basis. But then I started having an error halfway back up that says "drive cannot find the sector requested" with the 0x8007001b error code. It seems that the backup works partially - there are files on the DVD player but I don't know if it ends or not. I tried to do some research on Google and it seems that there is other people affected by this error, but I could not find suggested patches.

  Please use the Forum of the community for Vista.

  If it has started, use the system restore back to a point before you start. See below for instructions.

  If you can do that I have a work around you. Your specific error seems to relate to update failures, not only the Windows updates but the various failures of update.

  The job is to save it to your hard drive and copy the files on the DVD after the fact.

  I hope this helps.

  Other troubleshooting methods, such as using the System File Checker tool, cannot solve the problem. If they do not resolve the problem, and the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool.   The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start , type system restore in the Search box, and then click System Restore in the programs list.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue .

  1. In the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point , and then click Next .

  2. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next .

  3. Click Finish .

     The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  The problem is not with Windows, it's a hardware error OR you do not have the right Vista HP OEM
  installation media.

  1. check that the disks you have are correct for this model of CV. HP can sell you cheap the
  installation media real cheap since you already own windows.

  2. Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (at both ends, where this is possible)-in fact
  delete and replace - do not just tight. Clean the dust bunnies and make sure that the vents are clear.

  By chance the need to re - install caused by malware?
