64 bit Winows 7 installation fails?

When I try to install 64-bit Windows7, I get a message that my current Windows is 32-bit, your software provider and I can not go further. I know, but I want to do a custom on a new drive setup, and my computer is capable of 64-bit. How to take this point?

Hi Geoffrey,

1. how exactly you are trying to install Windows 7 64 bit? You try to start the installation from the Office?

2. using Windows 7 installation DVD or USB?

3. What is the brand and model of the computer?

4. What is the full error message?

If your processor is capable of running a 64-bit Windows version, but that your computer is running a 32-bit version of Windows, you must start, or boot, your computer using the Windows 7 installation disc or a USB flash drive.

For more information:

Start your computer from a Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive.

    Hi TSAGI,.

I had a similar problem with the package of added value, so I also removed the previous version first. But after the reboot, I used the freeware CCleaner tool to clean the registry and delete the old keys of VAP. So just download CCleaner and run it, after this restart again and try to install VAP.

  • Cannot install the Command & Conquer 3 on Windows 7 64 bit - error interrupted installation

    I can't C & C3 to install...
I bought the C & C3 EA store download edition earlier and decided last night that I wanted to play, so I went to install it... the installation program starts, I have chosen to install, accepted the EULA and then click Next.  The installation fails almost immediately, saying "& Command Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars install interrupted".
so, to rule out other problems, I tried on the 32 bit XP partition I have on my computer and got the same error.
today I reinstalled windows 7 and windows xp 32-bit on my machine, just in case there was something installed that could interfere (e.g. daemon tools) but no luck.
I lost a lot of time googling, scouring the forums and the only solutions I found were to copy the installation files on the dvd, which does not apply to me since I downloaded the game from the EA store or install the latest version of windows install manually (but windows 7 do not use the latest version by default?) or rename the windows installation folder and then run the installation of the game to 'force' of windows to get the latest version... of course, none of them have worked for windows 7 and I have not tried to update installshield on XP yet...

    can anyone help at all?

God, I feel like such a fool now...
    the problem has been solved...
the proxy executable installation provided by the EA Download Manager (required to install and run the game) was killed before so Setup was not detect the protection against copying and wasn't.
the offending process was a poorly programmed utility I run to automatically perform certain tasks repeatedly during the day, so what a completely clean install without anything more pilots and evaluating environmental Manager download the source of the problem has been discovered...
the offending service program has been brutally murdered and that I write this post, the installation of C & C3 just succeeded...

Thanks for trying to help Chris. B

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (973923 KB): the Installation fails repeatedly.

    Hello

Unfortunately, I can't get this update installed. It fails with error Code 643. I know, this isn't a specific error message, and I tried to follow the advice given here:

Moreover, I get an error with Logitech SetPoint and a side-by-side installation failed. These problems can be related to each other?

Thank you very much in advance, Rob.

    Hi Robseidel,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 are you able to install any other updates, outside this update?

    3. who was the last update installed on the computer? To check the update, open the window update page and click View installed update.

Please let us know what you have already tried, it saved time at both ends.

Just to confirm, did you follow the steps outlined in the article below for Windows Vista as the steps for Windows XP do not work with Windows Vista, and that's why there could be issues in the creation of the files.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/958052

If the steps in the link above didn't help then try the steps below and see if that makes a difference.

1 restart the computer in safe mode (to restart in mode safe keep pressing F8 on reboot).

    2. click on the start menu and in the search box start type CMD.

    3. in the list right click on CMD, and then click Run as administrator.

    4. at the command prompt, type net stop cryptsvc.

    5 rename C:\windows\System32\Catroot2 Catroot2.old.

6 open the C:\windows folder, and then rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution as SoftwareDistribution.old.

    7. at the command prompt, type net start cryptsvc, and press enter

8 restart the computer in normal mode

    9. run updates and check if you are able to get the updates without any error.

  • Vista SP2 Installation fails (error 800706BE Code) via Windows Update

I am running Windows Vista Business (32-bit) SP1 and I noticed that Vista SP2 is available for download by manually checking in Windows Update last night.  After having seen that it is a large download (more), I started the download, left my PC and left the House.  When I got home, my screensaver was away and when I attamped my password to disable the screen saver and see where I was in the process of updating, my password did not work.  Then I did a hard reboot but then could not connect under my admin user account.  I've then logged in as my wife (standard user - no password) and went to Windows Update where I noticed that the SP2 for Vista Installation fails (error 800706BE Code).  I spent most of last night and all today so far tried to solve this problem.  There are several problems here... When I click on "Install" in Windows Update, I get a message of "is not necessary: 1 update" (even when I look in the installed updates it says that the update failed).  If it is not necessary, then why is it listed as an important update that must be installed?  Endless loop... In addition, I'm not a password reset for my connection because I have a password saved on a flash drive.  Then I tried using all the older passwords that I remembered and none worked.  Shift caps lock was not on either.  I've logged in as my wife, went to the Microsoft Download page and eventually find the link to download the standalone version of SP2 Vsita, but after downloading the massive file, I didn't have the right to install it because I can not connect as an adminstator!

(sigh) Can someone please help with this?  Thank you

    Naveen,

Thank you very much for your suggestions!  Your suggestion of restarting, press F8 and choose "repair your computer" worked.  I was able to do a system restore and I chose a date where my old password was still in use (I had just been invited to change a few days before I tried to download Vista SP2).  In addition to losing my cookies and automatically complete IE8 - everything is back to normal.  I have not yet tried a 2nd try to SP2, and I'm very hesitant to do it now!

    Thank you once again!

  • HP 7310: HP 7310 all-in-One Driver installation fails on Windows 10

I was thrilled to see that HP had a version of Windows 10 recommended its full printer driver, located at 7310

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-110183-3&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

As with most HP stuff and most of the things Windows, however, my pleasure was short-lived. I started the installation (after choosing "10 64-bit Windows" option) and everything seems to work as I remembered, and the installer even got to the point where he discovered my network printer. But then this black popup appeared in the corner of my screen saying "your app does not work with Windows 10". The idea behind spoke of how the application was using the old protocols or something which would be harmful to the computer. In the end, the installation failed - the 7310 HP does not appear in my series of printers installed. Total disappointment, I have come to expect.

In the notes for installing HP says "If you only want the print (without the Photosmart Software Suite) driver, it is available as a separate download named"HP Deskjet basic driver"." In fact the pilot "baisc" would probably be all that I need. But alas it is unconnected with this driver and search both using the internal HP AND visa search engines search gives nothing.

Anyone with ideas? HP driver has been updated 29/07/15 so this isn't old stuff. Thank you.

So here's my solution. First of all, you get that you shouldn't be disturbed by installation failure message when you install this package on Windows 10. There are nine steps of installation and the ninth is to install a "Bing toolbar' or something like this. This is apparently an attempt to install a toolbar in Internet Explorer. The failure occurs because there is not Internet Explorer on Windows 10. This failure would have nothing to do with the failure of the connection to the printer.

The solution is to install all the updates of Windows 10 before trying to install the HP driver software. I have two identical machines brand new with Windows on them factory installed 10. I have tried to install all the stuff before waiting for updates to Windows, and that was the one where I failed... the part 'add a device' on the first installation went well and has print a list of the activities of the network in its effort to talk to my printer, but in the end, it failed and I got the big red 'X' on the final schedule which appears (the 'X' was between the router /) portrays switch and the printer). After the updates of Windows on this computer, the installation was successful. Then with the second machine, I did the updates of Windows first, and on this machine, the HP installation was successful the first time.

It could also be that it's specific hardware; It is possible that my Windows updates included an update from the manufacturer of my particular network interface, for example, and the network interface driver was the problem. My machines are the two model PowerSpec G415 computers to office who have a "Killer Z97X" mainboard ASRock, which I'm guessing that contains the material of common Intel chipset. In any case, good luck with that to all who follow in my footsteps. This one seems to have a happy ending for me at least.

  • CRC error on large compressed files (.zip, .rar, .cab, etc...) The installation fails too...

    Hello world

I have a new Dell computer. It's a Dell Studio 540 with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, with 1 TG of hard drive and 8 GB of RAM. I have problems with "decompression" of a large number of large compressed files (more than 50 GB). Also, because the files on a DVD are often compressed (in the cab for the majority file), the same error occurred on an installation package. Thus, to resume, I got CRC error on compressed files, while opening the zipper AND my different types of software installation fails with errors of Sami.

Before you answer, please read my steps below:

    1. I reinstalled Windows Vista 2 times from scratch with a clean format. Whenever I get the same error on the same files even when there is nothing installed (even the drivers are not installed).
    2. I tried to run Windows XP Mini, a very light version of XP is the launch of a CD at startup and run in RAM. The same problem.
    3. I did all kinds of tests of the material myself AND with Dell technical support. Nothing was found, and I'm sure it's 99.9% true. Everything has been tested: RAM, hard drive, processor, motherboard, etc. The Dell technical support told me that my computer is 100% functional and that this error is due to some software (Windows) does not very well with 64-bit processor... Everything works well in my work all day EXCEPT for the decompression of data.
    4. my files are not damaged: they unzip perfectly on other computers. In addition, the program that do not install because of the CRC error with compressed file are all used before on another computer OR are new. I even changed DVD to the store to get a new one and the problem is still there. I also tried to download the torrent from the .iso file and the same problem happened.
    5. the files on my computer are not corrupted by the hard drive. I copy keys usb, directrly on the DVD to the hard drive. All possible tests have been done on the files, and they are ok.
    6. I did all kinds of tests such as checkdisk, spyware, etc... but given that the installation has not helped with it, I don't think it's related.

My last hope is here... MVP is maybe know a problem in which Windows with zip files. I read a lot of people of the CRC errors, so I'm sure something happens. I am currently with the Dell customer service to get a full refund to buy a new computer without a 64-bit processor because it looks too new for Microsoft.

So if anyone knows something I could try, tweak, change to help me with my problem please let me know.

    Thank you very much!

    DarkJaff

    Hello!

This morning, I realized that I never returned to close this topic. In fact, I work with dell for a number of weeks, talk to like 10 or 15 support technical Member, try something else and you know what works?

Reinstall windows... But in my case, I have reinstalled windows 2 times before they ask me to do it again. So I did and everything worked perfectly... For the third time is lucky: P in fact, perhaps during the first installation of 2, RAM has not been installed properly or has failed for a second, because every file that has been read has become corrupted, but at the same time, everything is normal on my computer seems to work ok... In addition, it could be the update that I did for my BIOS. So, a good test would be to update your BIOS, shut down your computer, check if the ram is installed ok, restart, verify that your ram is detected.

After that, reinstall your windows, but DO NOT use the file you had on your "not working version of windows. I lost a lot of backup of the thing on my computer because even put on my new fresh install of windows, these rar did not work. I needed to pick up an old DVD and they worked

So, I hope this will help!

I've successfully installed 7520 drivers and setup a few months ago and printer was working fine with and without wire.  Then one day she was leaving print slowly wired desktop computer.  Later, there was no possibility of the wired printer.  The printer works very well to a print wireless from another computer request.  The wired connection display a print spooler does not not message.  I started the print spooler service and I was not able to add a printer because of a print spooler similar message.

    Vista Home Premium 64-bit

    What I tried...

    Uninstall all HP printer programs

Scanned the system with several malware product, some things have been cleaned up so that Norton missed.

Reinstalled HP software and drivers site (PS7520_1315 - 1.exe)

When you run the installation fails with an error code of 1726 - cannot add discovered Port Monitor HP Monitor Port.

Downloaded the 'HP Installation failure - Port Monitor Failure' and follow the instructions.

He ran and he prays to start the print spooler that was turned off again and then continues on but fails in the same place.

Basically, I uninstalled, reinstalled several times, scanned.  What I am doing wrong?

I love this printer, but I can't use it from my desktop connection because of the wired print spooler problem.

Can anyone help?  I spent too much time with this.

    TIA

    Hi Waterboy71,

Thanks for the reply.  I was stuck in a loop.  I downloaded the doctor Print and it ran with the
printer on and USB connected to the printer.  It identified my printer and software "Installed" status, said.  Click
Then--> the difficulty of printing and it tells me that the software must be installed.  When I download and install, the
installation fails with the same error as before.

Error 1726 cannot add the Port Discovery Port Monitor HP monitor.

Software uninstall and if I run again the doctor, he said that the software must be installed. Of course, it
    fails again.

It became clear that the problem was with my machine so after studying a bit, that's what difficulty ultimately the
    problem.

From an open administrator command prompt

    > sfc/scannow

Some corrupted files have been corrected. After a restart I also did the following,

From an open administrator command prompt

    > netsh winsock reset at the shell command prompt and then press the Enter key.

    > netsh int ipv4 reset in the line shell command and then press the Enter key.

After a reboot the HP print driver installation succeeded.

In the end, the problem was with the corrupted system files and socket connection. It is clear that Norton AVP is not
Very well. I went to something else and won't use EVER Norton. Once again.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Upgrade Windows 7 (64-bit) on Windows XP (32-bit) system - select Partition fails

Step 7 fails, and I can't go forward.

Poster, 3 partitions on my C: drive

0 small partition reserved by manufacturer HW SYSTEM partition

    1 SYSTEM partition

    partition 2 free

When I select the 0 partition, I get a message that it has reserved

When I select partition 1 or 2, I get a message that it is not usable and to view the log of installation for more details

Can not go to the front of this form.

I'm afraid to reformat a partition 0 or 1 for fear that I will lose my OS XP and then have nothing of partition. The Office of origin came preloaded and I have no support for Windows XP to reinstall.  Windows 7 is an upgrade, and it is looking for the previous installation.  So if I reformat the partition 0 and partition 1, don't I be destroy the previous installation that will search the upgrade?

I followed a troubleshooting thread that I found it says to upgrade exit, go back into the XP command prompt and run the commands to make the new format FAT partitions.  But when I ran the steps it told me that the partitions were already in the new format.

I have no idea where to see the "installation log" that allegedly created upgrade.  How can I get a command prompt to upgrade the disk to find these newspapers?  Alternatively, they are somewhere that I can get from my XP OS written?

I managed to get Windows 7 installed.  To overcome this problem (by selecting the score) I disconnected all my disks but the C (for installation) and the DVD drive (with download software).  Then I made the option advanced on-screen and repartitioned and formatted the zone system.  Was a bit annoying to do this to my Win XP partitions 'good' (as if download installation failed, what I would do), but that's what was necessary in order to select the partition.

In the process, I created another problem that I will list in a different thread.  Basically, I thought I did a good thing by creating a boot partition that housed just the installation, but now when I try to use Windows Easy Transfer, I am running problems of space on the C: drive.  I create a thread on this problem.
