  I am trying to install my printer HP photosmart c4180 to my laptop HP Pavillion (Windows 8 not sure if 32 or 64 bit).  I downloaded the software but when I try to install my printer on my laptop via a USB cable, I get an error troubleshooting.  I tried to fix this in the solutions offered by HP but can't make it work.

  I have a laptop HP with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium and I've encountered a problem:

  first of all, a month ago, the CD has stopped working. I can see the CD drive (: E) in the computer but it does not read any CD or DVD I inserted in it.

  Secondly, a few days ago the same problem happened to my USB (all 3 of them) ports. I can charge my phone/mp3 player but I can't download photos from my camera or music. I always get a message that says:

  "Unrecognized USB device".

  One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize... »

  I tried a solution proposal (to unplug the laptop and the re - connect after some time), but does not work.

  Also, I did a scan (start - all programs-accessories - command Promt... and after analysis it I got this message:)
