7.3 Skype crashing immediately on Login

For the past months, as soon as I connect to Skype, or a few seconds later, I get a message 'Skype has stopped responding... ". ». I tried to uninstall and reinstall and involve most of the advice in the threads to discuss similar problems to uninstall specific programmes, I have not. In Event Viewer, under views custom > administrative events, the application error that keeps coming up is:

Name of the failing application: Skype.exe, version: 7.3.0.101, time stamp: 0x5512b3c5
The failed module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Error offset: 0x00000000
ID of the process failed: 0x1ea0
Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01d07cad28cb28c5
The failing application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe
Path of the failing module: unknown
Report ID: 6e8298b4-e8a0-11e4-b440-f04da2de1526

I've also attached the file dxdiag from the time of the display. If the format is incorrect, let me know how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

I do not know how to close the message, but I managed to find the problem. In my case it was Epoccam by Kinoni for someone else who might have the same problem.

There are no physical webcam connected to your computer, while several virtual video sources are.

Uninstall the camera [JPEG/MJPEG] IP and virtual camera Dxtory video applications. These applications are known to conflict with the latest versions of Skype.

Another solution is to force Skype not use any source Video Capture. This can be done by editing the shared.xml file:

  • Skype crashing after Login Windows 8

So, I decided to get Skype today so I could discuss with my friends. I launched the Skype app first, and it says that the connection failed. So I decided to get the desktop version of Skype. I downloaded, installed and it worked fine. I registered and signed with success, when all of a sudden it appears with an error message Skype has stopped working and windows is checking for a solution. It is then implemented with windows can not find a solution. I thought I'd better try again, so I did and it happened again. I have decided to re - install Skype and restart my computer. After that I did then it came again with the same error message. So, I decided to look it up to see if had happened to other people, and it had. So, I tried some of the suggestions that had worked for the person, and yet they did not work for me. I just spent a few hours trying to get Skype to work and this is my last resort, so if someone could help me please explain why Skype does not work for me, it would be most grateful.

  • Skype crashes on startup

When I start Skype, I can log in and everything, but it crashes immediately when the main window appears. I run dxdiag and it hangs on DirectShow (step 1).

I tried to update my drivers, but they are up to date.

Here is my dxdiag file. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

DxDiag hangs on vorbis.acm, which is the DirectShow of Ogg Vorbis codec package.

    http://www.Vorbis.com/setup_windows/

Look for any application on your computer that may have installed this Codec package. You can try to search for the presence of the file vorbis.acm .

In previous similar cases, the question of the Ogg Vorbis could have been resolved by just renaming the file vorbis.com to something different.

  • At the update to 7.0.0.102, Skype crashes at startup

Hello! First post, long time lurker and always avid user. I've never had problems with Skype, not so much as even the UI (been infatuated with every single update this one up).

I have day Skype accordingly after he had announced that an update is available, in this case 7.0.102. I have then duly day and waited so that it starts after installation. So she did, but as soon as he had loaded the list of contacts (but not Skype House or any what this), he is not responding and crashed immediately, but not without the Windows crash report trying to gather information on the crash. I had some time to look around, but couldn't find any solution so now I'm stuck with old Skype 6.0 - ish.

After a page of support here, I have collected three newspapers (debug, eas-cliebt and abch-client) that were generated by using the tool provided, and although I can't do it at all, I hope for more help with deciphering / them here!

    Thanks in advance.

The accident is due to FaceRig Cam Virtual application. Uninstall this application.

Older versions of Skype may work with this virtual camera application, while the latest version 7.0 is not.

    OK I solved it.

for some reason, I can't find any tutorial how to uninstall captures webcam that remain on the computer even after having to remove their since appwiz.

the Skype is accident because the driver of the webcam ip.

I download another driver for the webcam and when I install it it deafult camera then after that its work.

If you don't understand me not so ill make it easy.

If the driver of the webcam ip is your camera deafult on Skype. your Skype will crash. If you need to install the other driver to make the webcam ip is not not deafult.

I use iwebcamera driver, you can use what you want.

    Good luck.

  • New Version of Skype crashes during installation

I have the problem that, after Skype has launched an upgrade installation crashes with a blue screen and restart the laptop. If Skype is on autostart he immediately blocked again. Uninstalling Skype does more work, coming up with an error. Had to manually delete the folders to get my computer working again. Is it possible to install the old Version of Skype that was installed before? That worked without problem. Having a HP Pavilion g6 series (1002sg) - read he had some problems this year with this version and the old versions of Skype has worked, but the links to these no longer work. I made a few updates to driver card graphics for example, the audio drivers, chipset drivers,... has not really helped. Windows 7 is up to date. Any suggestions?

Any ideas that I can do to make it work again?

I don't know, but maybe it's one of several cases in the latest version of Skype 7.0 is not able properly to interpret data from the BIOS. At least, that was the issue with the cases already reported with this error message:

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

    Offset: 0x00d527d7

A fix may be available in one of the next versions of Skype. In the meantime, the solution is to uninstall version 7.0 and install the 6.21.0.104 previous version.
