  Skype crashes for one of us just after the login for a given Microsoft account screen. (It works fine but the other one of us who has a Skype account.)

  Computer: 10 64-bit Windows. Windows Update reports things as up-to-date and steam makes the video as drivers being the most recent available.

  The problem with the latest version of Skype 7 but also with Skype 6.14. I tried every solution I could find on the threads of the community that talks about Skype crashing just after the connection, or Skype crashing on d2d1.dll, without modification. The problem also occurs on a newly created window account.

  -Uninstall Thunderbird and install it again (did not help)

  I think I solved my problem: delete messages from global reach DB and panacea.dat foldertree.json helped - once Thunderbird started again interactively and now I can restore my data files/messages.

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode.   I just upgraded to the latest version of Skype, and now it just keeps connection and disconnection. • Skype 7.17 crash

  Hi everyone, recently I received a call from a friend and somehow, my first portable Skype AND crashed. Everything froze with the exception of my mouse and I could not click anything. Only option was to force the closure downwards. (CTRL + ALT + DELETE does not work too.) Whenever I try to run Skype, it would be just a blank screen and it would break my Skype and laptop. I've been using Skype during the last months and nothing came last time. My latest version of Skype is 7.17.104.

  DxDiag has crashed.

  DxDiag previously: crashed in DirectShow (step 1). Re-run DxDiag with the command line parameter 'dontskip' or choose to not to ignore when you are prompted to collect information could result in DxDiag getting this information

  Have you recently installed any new codecs or DirectShow filters?

  Also, try to uninstall CyberLink YouCam.

• HTC hd7 Skype app to crash

  So, I had a problem with VoIP applications in general, but I want to get this work at least. About a month or two before, I open the Skype application and it crashed about 30 seconds later, then I restarted, same thing, so I just didn't use it for a period of time see if maybe reboot it fix it, it didn't so I reinstalled it, still no dice. So I uninstalled for good and regularly checked the app description to see if they have released an update to fix the crash, as verified the user comments to see if anyone else has reported crash, a few people have said a crash at startup, but they have not yet released an update as far as I know I had after I got 7.5 already installed it, I changed only one parameter of system, and it was not before crashing, so I know I have not done something to make this happen. I use a HTC T8788, im quite lost at this point since no one else has reported this outcome (i googled it) so it would be appreciated if someone knows how to fix this problem, thanks.

  I'm happy to report that I found the fix for this on my own. After further investigation, I confirmed that it was a problem with someone, I had to manually remove half of my contacts one by one and check that if Skype has worked after deleting all of them until he did, after finding the faulty contact, I went to people.live.com and restored all the contacts that I deleted not to mention the one causing a crash. I hope this helps someone of another encounter this problem.
