7520 HP e-all in one printer

I can't get my failure to be "plain paper".  Under the properties...paper/quality... I was on "main tray", "8 x 10"and the paper remains at the HP Advanced Photo paper... and I can't get the default to return to the "plain paper". "   As part of photo paper, it wants to pull the black ink of the photo cartridge (which mine is empty) instead of the normal black cartridge.  At this point, all black prints in blue.  No idea how to make my default back to paper?  I tried using the tools on the printer and return to the factory settings, but it does not work.

Hi blackribbon,.

Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are having some problems getting the print driver to stay on plain paper.
I will do my best to help you with this problem.

Restart the computer.

Then go back and change the size of the paper, paper and try to apply new settings.

So again, it won't save the settings, then most likely the driver is damaged.

I uninstall and install the printing software more up-to-date.

Uninstalling the printer software.

    JMcKenzie2006,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

The following workaround solution should correct the problem - basically how to turn off the sleep function.  It works when all other options have failed to solve the problem: assigning static IP, small insect sacrifice, swearing, all sorts of settings...

Be aware: I do not know the consequences - if any - turning off the sleep function.

Photo black cartridges are designed to be used, it cannot be bypassed or ignored. When printing from your computer, you can set it to print in grayscale (black ink only), meaning that it will use less of the photo in the black, but they will still get used for maintenance. For more information, see use of inkjet printers ink.

NOTE: It will use the black photo cartridge for printing black if photographic Support is selected for the type of paper or printing is set to auto or to a picture frame.

  • 7520 HP pHotosmart e-All-In-one: printer HP B209 failed, bought 7520 e - All - In - One... not as many preferences

Recently, my B209a Photosmart is not printing black ink, so I bought a Photosmart 7502 refurbished e-all-in-one printer.

1st problem: printing photos the size I want...

When you type "Print-p", the menu that appears asking me to specify a layout (for example, custom, Best Fit, scale, etc.). When I choose "Custom" and specify the width and height I want, I can go in "Printer", then "Configuration", even if I match the width and height under paper and the Source size, it errors out and does not print because sizes do not match.

2nd problem: when you print 'NOTHING' (letter or photo), there is not nearly enough printing preferences that I have with my B209a. With the B209a printer, I was able to customize almost every preference printing I wanted, including setting up my own (which was "printing black-fast"). I get none of these choices with this printer. Just about the only choices I get a 'paper source', 'paper size' and 'direction '. I don't even have the choice "quick print", which was supposed to use less ink.

I am 'really' disappointed by this 7502e.

All of my fault. For some reason, I took the photo paper I had in the machine has been of 3.5 x 5.

    It has been 4 x 6.

I wa contacted by a representative from HP who told me I called a support agent.

Once Mario's HP took over my machine and these changes, the pictures are exactly the way they were supposed to.

Initially, I was not only very surprised to get a solution to the problems that I had, but to be sent by electronic mail and then called by a support agent to fix, just a few days. And to be informed that if the problems were not fixed, I replaced printer.

This was among the best support I have ever received from 'none' company.

Thanks to Jamieson, Alan and Mario!

  • I FORGOT the ADMIN PASSWORD FOR - (WEB PAGE) - HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

    Hi all

I changed my network SSID & PW but I forgot the password for the printer web page.

Password was written in a notebook and notebook is moved at the moment by the cleaning person.

Please HELP! Is there anyway I can reset the printer so that the admin password is also re-set. I try to reinstall the software printers, also I am not able to change the ip address and right now, there is no ip address... get no link and no ip address and no network... Please anyone who can help... Please help.

    * I read some part... to power off the printer, then press the power button on... and continue pressing the back button where he would have, for some time the printer is back back (it was to reset the printer)... which is about 23 times... zero.

I really want to THANK you ALL for READING THIS & YOUR TIME. So please help if you can...

    and ideas?

    Thank you, xxVEGASxx

    * xxVEGASxx *.

You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer.

Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list and you will have to scroll down to see it.

Which erases all settings, including the password for the printer.

To reset you describe is probably the one mentioned in this article:

    http://resetprinters.com/how-to-reset-the-HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-premium-all-in-one-printer/

but it's probably a deeper reset that you really need anyway.

    Hey @jmichaelmcf,

I see you have some problems with your Mac OSX 10.11 machine printing to your Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn off the printer and the Mac.
    2. While the devices are turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer and the Mac.
    4. On your Mac, click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    5. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
    6. Click on reset printing system.
    7. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
    8. In the window that appears, select your printer in the list.
    9. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.

Please let me know the results of the rest of the foregoing. If you are able to print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
