8.1 Windows cache after the Boot Manager problem

Hello world

Try to install Windows 8.1 (or 7!) via Boot Camp 5.1 and faced serious problems.

I use a Mac Pro (mid-2012) 2 x 3.06 GHz Xeon, 64 GB ECC DDR3 1333 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX TI 980 with 6 GB GRAM flashed. The only other mod is a Sonnet Technologies USB3 PCI - e card.

The installation seems to work very well. I go through the Assistant Boot Camp, choice of installation in the first screen. Selecting Bay 2 with a 1 TB HHD and option "erase the disc and create a single partition for Windows. I have a Windows 8.1 (and 7) installation disc which is recognized. Installation went well.

I created the machine and it's for this, install the updates and new applications during the first load of time. I get to the screen, newspaper with my Microsoft account details and the office responsible for a few seconds then it goes blue and gives me the error connection CACHE_MANAGER.

This happens when I try and install Windows 7 also! Exactly the same problem.

Any help would be amazing!

Remove the Sonnet and the test. You have the original GPU supplied with the MP?

AppleHFS.sys/AppleMNT.sys are used to allow access to filesystems OSX JHFS +. Restoring Windows on Mac backups can be painful. If you have already fresh install of W7 on the internal drive, try the restore without installing any driver BC. Please be aware that such a restore is not aware of the partitions on your internal drive and can erase your internal drive.

    Hello

I seems that Boot Manager Windows 7 contains three entries and the other two entries are useless.

I think you can remove the last two entries in the Boot Manager.
    How to do this?
Well, I m using the EasyBCD software.
It is a free tool and you can easily manage this settings.

    After installation, start the tool.
In EasyBCD toolbar, you can check the option called Add/Remove entries.
Well, I think that here you should be able to remove the last two entries.

  • Start the Boot Manager

    Hi all

I installed Sierra but need to wipe my drive to improve performance and have implemented the installer of macOSSierra on a USB key and necessary to reach the Boot Manager to start the installation.

I think you hold down the Options/ALT key during restart to get to the Boot Manager, but nothing happens when I do that - it just goes to the login screen. I use a small apple wireless keyboard and wonder if it is active during the early stages of the startup?

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

    Julian

When you use a wireless keyboard, you have to wait until after hearing of the Mac startup sound, then press on and hold the option key.

If you hold down option from the start key, the Mac will not see depression key because the function Bluetooth does not become active until after the initialization of the Mac hardware.

You can find more details here: Mac OS startup keyboard shortcuts

  • Multi Boot options: where is the Boot Manager?

In the future I want to run Win7 64 bit, XP 32-bit and another OS.  So a triple boot.  I use 3 small SSD or I can triple 2 small SSD partition and run them in Raid 0.  I am attracted by the latter due to the increase in performance.  I wonder where is stored the Boot Manager and can I put it on all 3 drives if I go with this scenario.  I am looking for better control, I guess.  Mechanical control is far superior to the software control but is not always available unfortunately.

    Find the folder in C:\Boot.

Once Windows 7 is installed the boot.ini file is no longer used (do not delete it, just does not make any changes)

EasyBCD can manage the names and the startup list:

  • I have windows xp after the installation of service pack 3 I can only start in safe mode

I have windows XP after the installation of service pack 3 I can only start in safe mode?

    Hello

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         What happens when you try to start in normal mode?

    Method 1

Windows XP can in every start Safe Mode by default. Even if you select the option Start Windows normally, it always starts in Mode without failure. IOW, you can't get out of safe mode.

This happens if the switch/SafeBoot is added to the Boot.ini file. / SafeBoot parameter forces a boot in safe mode by using the specified parameters. The available parameters are:

    (a) minimal

    (b) network

    (c) safeboot: minimal (alternateshell)

For more information about the boot.ini switches, see visualization and correction of the settings of the boot on x 86 systems

    RESOLUTION

    (a) click Start, run and type MSCONFIG

    (b) click the Boot.ini tab

    (c) If you have a dual-boot system, select the entry that is appropriate under the [operating systems]

    (d) in section downstairs, Startup Options uncheck / hisFEBOOT

    (e) click OK

    (f) restart Windows

The entry/SafeBoot are removed from the Boot.ini file.

    Method 2:

If the above method is not the cause, it seems that Service Pack 3 is not installed correctly.

Step 1: You try to run the system restore from safe mode that will repair return the computer to the point while it was working fine.

  • The windows 10 ISO file will still work to upgrade my computer to Windows 7 after the date limit to install the free version?

    Original title: upgrade Windows 10

I made an iso file for windows 10. I am waiting to upgrade until all the bugs are being developed. My question is: will the iso file of windows 10 still work to upgrade my computer to windows 7 after the date limit to install the free version?

The ISO will work after the date limit, but you can buy Windows 10 after the date limit, if you don't improve and activate it before that date.

Windows 10 is delivered as a service:

    Windows July 10 release - build 10240

    Windows Update 10 November - build 10586 (with many updates depuis.13,.29,. 36)

If you want to take advantage of the free offer, you must do so before July 29, 2016.

If you the newer versions are released before then, you can always download and install when it becomes available.

You could also install it now then download updates via Windows Update as soon as they are available.

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
  • Failed to start Windows 7, not found Boot Manager?

    I have a Sony Vaio VGN-SR26GN with Windows 7 32 bit installed.

He froze, ctrl + alt + delete does not work I turned it works but it was not able to start windows, all I ended up with is a black screen with cursor mobile, even with safe mode.

I tried recovery, known last good configuration, etc... but nothing has worked

Then I started getting the blue screen of death with the BOOT MANAGER NOT FOUND or something of the sort

I tried to use the CD to repair windows 7 but it couldn't detect any installation of windows or another partition... I tried the bootrec different commands but nothing worked

Now when I turn on the computer, it will start the Vaio repair utility, open a blue screen and nothing happens for hours.

I don't know if it is a hardware or software problem. What else can I try to do?

    Thank you
