Almost every PC I've seen show at least a few errors in the paper at some point and if the system itself to show no symptoms of problems can generally be ignored. An error can be generated, and then the software reset and succeed the task but the error is already in the paper.
For the majority of users, the event log should be used at the same time to investigate the real issues and not otherwise referred to as.

Problems with the first sorting system can do the easier application problems. Note the time that the computer is started last and deal first with those at the beginning of the boot. Correct previous errors can be solved later.
1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.
2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.
3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.
4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Click the button copy on the general tab allows you to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.
7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. The description is just as important and copy the exact text to use as search criteria greatly helps achieve better results when using Google. Hi sanjeevkode,
Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community. As the question you posted typically associated with third party software / application that has its own way of program codes and call the corresponding system resources when installing and running. Therefore, I also suggest you to join the VMware Forums for the best support.
VMware communities: http://communities.vmware.com/home.jspa
In the meantime I suggest you try these options / methods
IMPORTANT NOTE: Microsoft provides this information as a convenience to you. Proposed changes could lead to serious problems. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems would be solved as a result of the suggestions. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
Option 1: If you go to computer management, and then to the list of Services and find the VMware authorization Service, it appears as stopped? If so, you need to start
Option 2: Try logging on as an administrator Local host during installation first workstation, rather than you connect with a domain ID
Option 3: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must enable security programs new that had disabled you
Option 4: The problem could be linked to a local or domain group policy. Make sure that the local account is defined as 'local user __vmware_user__' in the local Administrators group and the permissions of "Log on locally" and "Log on as a service.
The two parameters are available in the "* Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment *" branch of domain group policy or local.
Let me know if it worked.
Hope it will be useful.Thank you and best regards,

Next message on the screen for IP address conflict. There are two addresses. How to solve this problem. Message to say go to the system event log window. I can't. Pl help.
A common situation that can lead to a conflict of ip address, it's only 2 (or more) computers or other devices are connected to the router (via ethernet or wireless), and both have ip addresses assigned by the router automatically, one of the computers, then past in mode 'sleep', and while we sleep the router restarts. When the router comes back online he doesn't know the computer sleeps is here and that he already has an assigned ip address and so it gives the ip address of the other computer. When the computer asleep wakes duplicate error will be triggered. It can be solved by turning off computers and turn it back on so that the router will assign them new ip addresses. If this is not what is happening in your situation, the following may help: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Get-help-with-There-is-an-IP-address-conflict-message

Whenever I boot Windows XP Professional I get the message: error 7026 system event log
Original title: 7026 event log system errorGet an error in the error 7026 system event log the following boot-stat or system-stat driver could not load DCDisk. I get this log entry each I boot XP Pro. It doesn't seem to be the cause of failure, other than the log entry. The only app that has a dcdisk.exe I can find is Farstone I installed on the system
Uninstall and reinstall the program that you have installed that has created the entry

Alternatively, you can remove the redundant entry using Autoruns.
To identify what loads when you start using Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).
http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx
With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig.
Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

How to write to the system event log
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1
I run a daily work to create an image of my drive system hard. Repeatedly the work began and, due to a material error, be abandoned. In some cases (mostly), this will result in the image of yesterday being destroyed, leaving me with no viable image in case I need to restore. Although the reader is old enough (3 years), I'm not want to replace it, because I know no other activity that has had a problem with it and diagnoses reported no problem.
So I want to execute a batch file or a script before the regular daily system backup operation. The script would go to a SMART short self-test, and if no errors are reported, would signal the backup task to run. Conversely, if the self-test report any error, the script don't trigger not the backup task to run. I think I will need to write an entry in a kind of system event log, which would be defined in the trigger condition in the entrance to the Windows Task Scheduler for the backup task. If anyone can help with the details of how to write an entry to a log of system events?
Or, perhaps, there is better way to achieve what I want to do?
I guess that there is not a very high probability that the script will always truly detect a problem and prevent the last image of the destruction. But I tell myself that it is worth the effort.
TIA
Assuming that smartctl generates an errorlevel nonzero in case it failed, the following script will work, as long as Smartctl is run under the same account as Casper.
I also made your script more transparent control setting. The if/then/else/if/then embedded instructions are perfect for computers, but are often misconstructed by the human mind. I'm a big believer in the KISS principle.

Hello
I have a new computer, bought yesterday, running on Windows 8.I got a call this afternoon from someone claiming to be from Microsoft saying that I had downloaded some kind of malware - the name means nothing to me. He began to talk me through the journal of the opening events, was about to take me through new measures to be taken. I said several times that I was extremely suspicious, especially as I said we have a lot of computers running on this topic and he claimed that it did not matter that I used. We were interrupted right there and I asked for a number to transfer the call. He gave me a 1800 number - which is an American extension and I am uk. When I got out, he said it would work, and I insisted on taking his name and also received his "number". When I tried the number I got an error tone. Please could you confirm if there is anyway that could have been a real call from Microsoft? Also - now that I've seen in the event log, I'm worried can I have downloaded something dangerous so that set up my new computer. Any advice on the listed events of compensation would be great!Same scam as all earlier versions of Windows.
It was not authentic. If someone asks you anything you are owner and you do not make the call, think of it as a scam and hang up. If you want to verify that this is a scam, then find the number of society who claim to want you, call them and see if they called you.The event log is just what it sounds like - a journal of the events on your computer maintained by Microsoft. Just don't go into it more without reason. As a normal user - probably, you rarely need to cela and would more probably have a sysadmin (computer SCIENTIST) do it for you. ;-)

I have a problem of IP stack. I get an error message that says that my IP address is used by more than one computer on my home network. My host that is connected to the modem and the router is a windows vista running IE8. My remote computers XP with IE7. I also have a Wii running Opera. I noticed that when one of the XP computers is online, then no other remote computers can connect to the network. Please help, the event with the description of the error log is highest in the detailed description
Hi captdexter,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!
I suggest you follow the steps to resolve the problem that you are experiencing below:
Step 1:
Reset TCP\IP [Transmission Control Protocol of Protocol\Internet]:
To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357
Step 2:
Disable the IP helpdesk:
1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties.
3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
5. click on OK to exit the dialog box
Disable IPv6:
Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.
NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.
Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:
Link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756 ) how to back up and restore the registry in Windows
Step 3:
Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non Microsoft DHCP servers:
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
4 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
5. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
6. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
7. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
8. right click on DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
9. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
10. close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
Step 4:
To clear the DNS cache:
1. Click Start, type cmd in the search box, and then click cmd in the list programs.
2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
3. once at the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns
Let us know if the information above helps you.
Kind regards
Manasa P-Microsoft Support.

I am unable to connect to my network wireless with my laptop Sony, (Vista home premium). This follows an infection in my desktop PC with a Trojan which did not stop, but slow internet browsing. I reinstalled vista windows on the pc and it works fine now bur my still gives mobile me this message. "Unable to connect to a Windows Service. As an administrator, you can view the system event log to see why the service did not respond. "I am the administrator on my pc and laptop. I tried to change the user nothing helps. I use Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1. Intel Core 2Duo T7250 2 GHz. 2 GB of RAM. 32-bit. Sony Vaio FZ31M. If you can give me instructions on how to remedy the situation, it would be appreciated. Thank you, Tony
Hi 1234Tony,
First of all, I suggest you that you also scan your laptop for infection by the virus. Second, reset TCP/IP stack Winsock settings. This could correct mistakes involving internet connectivity as a result of problems of installation of network software, due to a virus, trojan or malware infection or even due to disinfection of spyware security software.
To repair and put back the Windows Vista
- Click the Start button.
- Type Cmd in start it the search text box.
- Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run command as administrator prompt. Allow elevation request.
- Type netsh winsock reset in the command line shell, and then press the Enter key.
- Restart the computer
If please reply and let us know if your problem is resolved or if you need further assistance
