80-year-old wants new PC without internet
My father wants a new laptop, but does not have access to the internet. This would be OK except that each new PC says 'internet required and not included.' I can provide internet for updates and intial configuration, however it will be questions using the PC without internet at home? It will use for photos and movies at home and the games included, as appropriate. Thanks for sharing.

Things like games and movies at home, once they are downloaded from the Internet or if they come with the laptop, no longer need the Internet. Some people, especially the more people, don't like the risk perceived security of the Internet, so it is understandable that they would like anything to do with it. If your father wants to only use games and watch downloaded movies, he can do it on a computer that is "Internet-ready" but not truly connected. For movies and games, that he might try a HP Tablet. They are ready for the Internet, but do not have to be connected.
I welcome your father to be involved in the digital age!

Then today is your lucky day :-): sysdate is the same for all the DML. Even if it takes more than one second:

My 5 years old Satellite Pro P300-19 q has developed all of a sudden a fault

My laptop which is 5 years old and has worked without any problems, has suddenly developed a fault I don't seem to be able to untangle. It starts ok and gets on the screen "Toshiba Leading Technology" and it's not there. Should not or reaction to something. I tried to enter the power on Start menu and pressing the F12 key, it recognizes and says 'Please wait' but nothing happens. It applies to "Configure" button F2 and F8. There is absolutely no response and HDD led light does not illuminate.
I have not installed or changed anything. It runs Windows 7 and I don't have the recovery disc and the installation CD original W7 but they are useless if I can't access the startup option.
I also removed the HD and connected by USB connection to my work desk and access all my files and programs, so it doesn't seem to be something wrong with the disc either.
Can someone offer me some suggestions?

Looks like you have a corrupted BIOS.
I recommend asking Toshiba http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/ for any help. They got the disc special crisis to retrieve the faulty ROM BIOS module and instructions on how to install it.
I contacted the technical service of Toshiba UK enclosing the message above but have not heard
anyone after. Does anyone have information about this recovery disk and where I could get it?I also think that the BIOS can be troublemaker in the whole of the situation. When you start your machine, it begins with the verification of low level material and later start to load the operating system preinstalled.
In your case the laptop is blocked for some reason any on this first step.Unfortunately, your options are pretty limited. What you can try is to remove the check and RAM modules and so portable HARD drive will pass this first stage.
AFAIK the disk of this crisis is for internal use only so I don't know if you will get it somewhere. What you can try is to google a bit and maybe upload it somewhere with specific instructions on its use.In the end, I must say that these issues don't occur so often and I have to ask anyway: you may have updated the BIOS or done something that may be responsible for this?

When you get the new iPod, you can use iTunes on your computer to select and synchronize the music you want on it, in the same way that you synchronize your current iPod - your iTunes will recognize them as different devices and will remember your choice of synchronization for each, it will not (unless, for example, you restore the backup of your current on her iPod) put the same content on both.

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs

Can quicken 2007 run on El Capitan (i.e., os 10.11)? I have one currently using Yosemite and you want to update without losing the use of Quicken 2007. I don't like the new version of Quicken.
Join the club of those of us who don't like Quicken 2015 or 2016 Quicken; even if I bought it for a 40% discount offered by Intuit! I was just disappointed by Q2016 compared to Quicken 2007!
If you have upgraded to the 16.2.3, version it will work well in El Capitan!

Well, 1st of all... Hello. Second... If you take it easy on me please... I am new to Mac but not new for iPhones. I have an old 4 I used to keep an eyeout on my 9 year old... I just got my mac and started having all loaded profiles and today there is no activity on iMessage. I think I know the answer, but as I said, I got a Mac for about 2 days, but it took many years of iPhones.
My initial guess is that continuity is not able to interact with any iOS prior to 8.1, but it used to. The only other was activate keychain and turn on the transfer procedure. The other phone is a 6. Anyone know what all the seetings should be?

My 2 year old somehow gave a password on our computer and now we can get in our office. Without having to return to the default settings, anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this problem?
If you have a different user account with administrative privileges, Panel you can connect that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.
In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.
