  1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
  2. where exactly you are trying to copy the file?

  Run check disk on the computer.
  a. click Start , and then typecmd.exe in the start search and then press ENTER.
  b. right-click on cmd.exe and clickrun as administrator.
  (c) in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.
  Chkdsk /f
  Note: You may be prompted by a yes / no question. TypeYes and press ENTER.
  d. restart the computer so that the disk check starts. It will take about half an hour to complete the process of error checking. Do not restart the computer when the current disk check.
  Note: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost

  My laptop crashed while there and after truble lofts I was finally able to reinstall vista again and now I get updated but I can't upgrade to sp2 cuz im getting this error all the time... error 8007045 d, I tried to do the manuelly update but it dosent works completely at the end , I get this error "the query cannot be performed because of an i/o device error. ERRO 0x8007045d.

  Try the methods below:

  Method 1:

  I suggest to check the drive for errors, follow these steps:

  a. Click Start, type cmd in the start search box, right-click cmd.exe in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

  b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

  c. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER: Chkdsk/r X:

  Note: In this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check.

  d. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

  e. close all applications and restart the computer.

  Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts.

  f. after the computer restarts, repeat steps a through d for the other volume

  I tried to auto update Windows 7 several times and nothing helps. I just download SP1 for Win 7 and I copied the file to the desktop. and it still gives me the same error.
