  It is givng me a continual "fail" sign. I'm not really computer savi, but have managed to see the update history and it goes back to May 2011 things load properly and some fail. I read a previous post suggesting deletion of all previous failures do not know if I do that, can someone tell me please.

  • Trying to install KB2660649 by using Windows Update
  • Difficulty is unable to install - response 800b0100
  • Running sfc/scannow - successful, no error
  • Have downloaded and run the update tool system - successful, no errors
  • Downloaded and run the stand-alone version on the fix - failed, and saw the following in the system log: Windows Update 'A security update for Windows (KB2660649)' could not be installed because of an error: 2148204800 "no signature was present in the subject.   Amazing!  I have already mentioned that I lived the problem of the "feature Windows empty window.  Seeing that my initially reported problem and seemed to have similar signs and given that I had a clear explanation on how to solve this problem, I did it - and these two problems are now history.

  Just today, I was on my windows high tower 8 ASUS) that worked very well until I noticed this message saying that the computer will restart soon to update so I clicked on the update and restart for all has updated but when I finally thought he would have started working, he says "failure in windows update changes recovery off not your computer" honestly I don't know what to do because I just got this computer as a week ago. I can't restart or do something for the computer, he's stuck on this message. At one point he did stop saying could not configure windows update but two ways it continues to flow to the same thing. • Application of failure updates/impossible to upgrade to 8.1 Windows

  I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8 preinstalled.

  I tried to run Windows Update several times.  Each time, Windows Update appears to have executed correctly tells me that it has installed the updates and then quickly displays a screen that informed me of his failure to configure updates and his intention to return to the original state.
  I tried to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.  I did not any changes to the system - it's "new from the box", so to speak.  Therefore, IE is always the default browser, no internal settings have been changed, etc..
  After doing some research and reading suggestions, I decided to stop wrong with Windows Update and visit the Windows store to upgrade to 8.1, hoping that this would fix my problem.
  When I click on the purple upgrade box in the store, I get a white screen with the green circle... and nothing.  Nothing ever happens.
  The computer has rebooted itself several times due to a failure (I'll me wake up in the morning, the PC is off and he informs me that he had to do a reset).
  This problem frustrates me no end.

  The error code suggests a download corrupted updates. Can you try to remove the content of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download? This should be safe. And then try to download and install the updates again.

  What is the error message when you try to market the AVG antivirus?
  You turn on the AVG firewall or Windows Firewall?
