[86] gateway /gatewaytouchportal/touchmup/touchvideo.exe has requested to end by a mistake in an unusual way
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way
Hello
(1) do you have made no changes before this problem?
(2) when exactly you receive this error message?
(3) what application are you using?
A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program to function properly. Runtime errors could cause you to lose information in the file that you are using, causing errors in the file (corrupt the file) so that you cannot work with it, or prevent you from using a feature. Unlike stop errors, errors lead usually Windows or a program to stop working.

You have FTP Explorer of FTPx Corp. installed? Its shell extension seems to be to throw an unhandled exception, and this causes Explorer to crash. Look for updates to the FTP Explorer program, disabled the shell extension or other options of the program, if it is necessary, or using, for example, Autoruns or ShellExView, or uninstall FTP Explorer and perhaps find another program that offers comparable functionality.

I found no relevant clues for that in the forums of NOR. A Google search led me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884538/en-us, offering a fix for the problem. Unfortunately, the installation of this hotfix does not solve the problem.
You know this problem and you have any ideas, how can the problem be solved?
Thanks in advance.

I have a Gateway laptop with Windows Vista. I put Norton anti-virus on it last year. Now I am trying to run the new disk of Norton and the computer tells me that setup.exe has stopped working and I can't run the program. Norton 2008 has been removed.
http://Service1.Symantec.com/support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
Download/run their abovelink Norton Uninstall tool to ensure that all "Norton" is deleted.
Then, right-click on the setup.exe Norton > run as admin.
If the above does not help:

This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.

A problem with the application to stop functioning properly. Windows will notify you if a solution is not available"this message is displayed in a window of Microsoft Windows. If you have not heard about these programs, remove it via the control panel (it is not important) as http://www.file.net/process/ppped.exe.html virus says imitate this program. (If you do not find the program in the control panel it's a virus, and you should run a scan with your AV to remove it)
