8600 more duplex in Word format - no option shows

I bought this printer for duplex printing, but when I go to print a Word document on my iMac (last version of Word for Mac) and the latest Mac operating system, there is no option for double-sided printing. However, when I looked online for the 8600 printer user's guide and went to the window to print, the print window was totally different, and the printing option was there. Can someone help me figure out how to print Word documents on both sides?

Hello
Please follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

1. check that duplex printing accessory has been installed correctly. To check this open system preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print to your printer queue. Click Printer Setup and in the tab menu choose driver. Make sure that the box next to HP printing accessory (duplexer) sides.

2. on the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click Show details to display all available parameters.

3. in the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

4. to select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

5. Select the menu drop down.

6. set the duplex option as binding edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

Kind regards

  • "Scan To E-mail" configuration on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g

It's the same problem reported by several other users of this forum to which no solution has been provided.

I was not successful to set up the scan e-mail option for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g bought 12 August 2012 and using CLP1CN1150CR firmware.

I'm trying to do through the interface of the Web server built into the printer from an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the 5.8.0 HP utility.  More specifically the page under 'outgoing Scan-> Scan to E-mail-> e-mail profiles.

I tried 2 SMTP from different servers, each one works well to send the email from the computer: Apple iCloud mail service (formerly Mobile Me, formerly known as.) Mac) and AT & T Net messaging service.  I checked the server name, port number, and authentication login and password were all correct.

When scanning to email serves as the printer, I get an error message: unable to connect to the server.  Check the address and the name of the server.

During a test of the computer when configuring a profile of outgoing mail, I get an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout).

When I try to configure the page under "Settings-> E-mail Alerts-> mail server" and use exactly the same values as those in the e-mail profile out above, registration and Test option fails with an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message.

Oddly enough, I am able to use the client to the computer with the option scan to the computer-> e-mail in PDF format or by e-mail in JPEG format.  With this option, the file is scanned and added as an attachment to an e-mail message from the Mail in Mac OS X client.  The e-mail message is sent via SMTP server even when I press the button send.

All the error messages seem to indicate that the client software of electronic mail of the printer is unable to establish a connection to the SMTP server.  However, it is unclear what configuration setting is one that could be the cause of the problem.

After further research, I noticed that there is another default possible values of port Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP):

    • Port 25 is the standard SMTP port number.
    • Port 465 is the number of SMTP over SSL, Secure SMTP (SSMTP) port.
    • Port 587 corresponds to the port number dedicated for a presentation Mail (MSA) Agent that uses a variant of SMTP, as specified in RFC 6409, which requires that clients are authorized and authenticated to use the filing of mail service.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more and I can no longer scan multiple pages in a document using the ADF and flatbed. I was able to do before. Help, please.

Have you recently had to reinstall the software or to reset the default settings? In this case, when you go to scan in the pop up window that shows that there should be an option to "move forward." In this window, you can set up your printer to scan in a single document, as opposed to separate in the PDF format.

  • 8600 Officejet Duplex Scan and Eprint

I have a question on the HP Officejet Pro 8600. I have a Mac and Mac OS x installed Lion:

    (1) how to scan HP scan3 2sided/duplex?  There is no option to choose to scan duplex, I have installed duplex accessory and I checked in the system Prefereneces > Print & Fax > Open print queue > Configuration printer > driver > HP 2 accessory sides of impression. See the image of what my options and screen looks like.

    (2) how can I configure my eprint settings when I print through Google Cloud or to my email to the printer to print duplex/2sided? I have looked at the online account but couldn't find an option to print

    Hello

You have the 8600 OfficeJet from HP (N911a) or the sign more (N911g) or model Premium (N911n)?

Only the last two models offer features of duplex ADF (copy of original 2 faces), the basic model only provide double-sided printing.

The ePrint service does not support duplex printing, you can find that he listed in the documentation of ePrint:

Are there any limitations that I should be aware of when using ePrint?
Duplexing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03721293

You can work around this limitation by using the mobile software HP ePrint, which allow printing to a remote printer using the software on your Mac:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=22744&prodSeriesId=5098100&prodNameId=5098101&swEnvOID=219&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ds-104730-2

Once the software is installed, you can access it from the print in the drop of PDf dialog box.

  • officepro 8600 more do not select the default tray paper

Second paper tray added OfficePro 8600 more.   Printer recognizes second tray to tray 2.  Changed to render settings of the printer tray default 2.

Funtion copy to printer takes only of the plateau which had envelopes.

Browsers (Fire Fox) also print only from the Board one, what is envelopes.

Settings in Microsoft Office implemented so that Word prints correctly.

How can I tell the printer to select tray 2 paper letter?

    Thank you.

I see that you are having problems with the 2nd set, this can be confusing. You will need to go into the actual printer settings and change TRAY 2 as default. On the touch screen, select:

    1. click on the configuration Menu
    2. click on Preferences
    3. default tray
    4. Select tray 2

After selecting this option, and then try to print and see how it goes. Don't forget with the 2nd plateau, its not installed with printer drivers, so you have to put all the letter paper in TRAY 2 (as you already have). Any other type of paper (legal, envelopes, etc.) will still go into Tray 1.

Let me know if this can help, thank you.

  • How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?

How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit.

It's strange.  Looks like you have a second paper tray and put it to the default tray.  The second paper tray only supports the types of paper that show on your list.  It's strange because unless you have purchased a second tray paper, plus model has one.  Does only the high-end model.  Other than that, only certain types of media can be duplex, so if you have double-sided printing, it can limit the selection.  I'll watch what else could be the cause and get back to you.

    Save and close the application.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 more: double side id or copy scan

    Hey,.

I have hp officejet pro 8600 and I'm unable to scan or copy id cards on both sides.

y at - it an option for scanning on part and other identification cards or copy bothh sides of ID card?

can you please help me with it, because I really scan identity cards, the two side to my computer.

"" and if there is no video or tutorial on scannig or copy on both sides of the identity card for "hp officejet pro 8600 more ' and then share it with me.

    Thanl you.

    Hi @Sanky1,

While the document feeder allows the 2 sided copy and scan, the loader will feed not IDENTITY cards. What you can do, is copy each side individually, then put two copies on the document feeder and scan 2 faces. If you want both sides of the card on a single page, same idea, copy both sides individually, then place them copies on the glass to scan so that they are aligned with a scanned page.

I hope this helps. If you need further explanation or assistance, let me know.

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060: I can print in Word format, but not in MS Excel

Hello, I've just joined this forum and I am new on this.

I just want to ask for help regarding our printer at the school. I had problem printing in MS Excel, I installed the printer and set as a default value, but still is not printing. When I tried to print, it will just say "Document pending to print" then it will disappear. I tried to install again, and then I had a copy of the printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 (1 copy), that I now use to print in Word format and it works, but I found the problem when I tried printing in Excel. I tried to select the copy of the printer but it does not display and only the default is illustrated - in the printer list when you print without printer HP DEskjet (1 copy) is displayed. Everything I do now is copy from Excel and paste the word so I could print the document. I also tried reinstalling the printer but still the same. Help, please.

-Hopefully I explained it clearly. Thank you.

  • 8600 more fails to Printer preferences

I installed an 8600 more my WIN 7 32 bit Dell XPS 1530.  Everything works, BUT when I select set printer preferences, a box flashes and disappears before I can read it.

This happens in the HP software, MS Word and 8600 printer in Control Panel.  Something seems to be blocking access to this feature.

I spent hours on HP chat support.  I have disabled the firewall.  Installed and reinstalled.  Removed all other drivers of HP.  And so on.

Does anyone have ideas until I return the printer?

    Thank you

    David

    Hi LevinDP,

It seems the BONE contributes to the issue. I would like to check this by installing on another computer, and if you do not have the issue is when I tell a system recovery. Let me know what you find?
